The Face Shop Nail Polish GR501

Hello everyone! I have another The Face Shop Nail Polish review for you all. It's on a shade I'm really excited about because I love how bright and flattering it is. This is in shade GR501 which is a sheer yellow green polish with tons of glitters! This was from my December purchase and yet it still feels like new. It didn't dry up or discolor at all. I've heard from other TFS nail polish users that it dries up on the bottle fast, fortunately for me that hasn't happened yet. This is from their regular nail polish line at P95 from any The Face Shop store.

The swatches look yellow because of the flash on my camera. And because it's sheer so it looks lighter than the color on the bottle. I applied 4 coats on my nails to achieve this intensity. I didn't want to add any more because I don't want it to be thicker which oftentimes make it easier to chip. I didn't add a top coat either because the shine of the polish is more than enough for me.

I love glitter polishes because it stays on longer as the glitters hold the polish together, and it sticks on the nails very well. It's even a little difficult to remove so if you're looking for a vibrant nail color which can last for more than a week, this is one kind to consider. They also come in many different shades :). It's easy to apply as it's not streaky nor thick. It dries up in a matter of 3 minutes and doesn't bubble so I like it even more :). If you want it to look more opaque, you can add a few more layers without making it seem like you have tons of product on your nails.

This will be a lovely nail color for Spring, or for the coming summer in the Philippines in a month :). I'd definitely wear this in the beach because of it's very attractive and vibrant color which is so like summer! And because I just love bright nail colors! :D

Overall this nail color is really good and it's climbing up the charts of my favorite polishes :). My rating, absolutely 5 STARS!!!

Skin Food Sun Aloe BB Cream

I have been meaning to write this review but I have been pretty busy. I've been using Skin Food BB Cream for awhile now alternating it with my Tony Moly and Danahan BB Cream (which I will be reviewing soon as well so stay tuned) and I love how it makes my skin look a lot better but doesn't make me feel like I have too much makeup on my face. Asian BB cream are being compared to Western BB Creams which I heard are only like tinted moisturizers, but it's nothing like it. In some way they are the same because they have skin care properties, but BB creams provide light to medium coverage that tinted moisturizers don't provide.

This is a sample pack that is being sold in eBay from P15 - 25 a piece depending on who you buy it from. Some offer it cheaper and some a little higher priced. Each packet I think has 1ml of bb cream or less and I can use it 3 times, so this is a cheaper option if you are testing out which bb cream works best for you and which shade to match your skin tone. This BB cream is in #1 and has SPF 20. They come in 3 shades I believe from 1 - 3, and 1 being the lightest. This is also water based so it's good for oily skin as well.

Always make sure to moisturize your face before applying this bb cream because since this is water based, it's going to be a little difficult to blend on unmoisturized face, and it gets absorbed by the skin faster making you use a more product, which will eventually cake. It gives light coverage but you can slowly build it up for a medium coverage. It also has a nice aloe scent but may put you off if you're not into scented face product. This bb cream is really moisturizing and makes my skin look fresh and glowy. I have oily skin and I have to blot my face after 3 hours if I am outdoors which is understandable because it's extremely hot in our country. But if I am in a mall, I don't have to blot my face at all. I never broke out using this bb cream.

Of all the 7 bb cream brands I have tried, this is by far my favorite because it doesn't give my face a grey cast. The first time I used it I thought that #1 is a little too light for my skin tone but after it oxidizes, it adapts to my skin tone in only about 3 minutes and I really like it. The photo above is taken right after I applied it and yet it doesn't look too weird on my face. I used this on my Birthday Makeup without the setting powder on top of it. I forgot to take a photo after it oxidized which I should have because I was a kind of in a hurry to finish my makeup, sorry :( :). Just refer to the swatches above.

My verdict is definitely 5 STARS!!! I recommend this to everyone who wants to try bb cream. However, I suggest you get the sample size first because what works for me may not work on your skin.

It's My Birthday Makeup

It's my birthday today! I came up with a birthday look that I will be wearing when I go to the church and spend time with my fiance' later this morning. It's a very simple, wearable day look that's glossy, youthful, and flattering. It looks better in person because the glow on the face makes the look so beautifying and fresh. I don't want to be wearing a lot of makeup because I want to be comfortable on this day so I went for a low maintenance look :).

This makeup will look good on anyone. It's very easy and quick to do. You may use a red lipstick if you want to appear more striking and gorgeous :). I used neutral shades on this look so you can mix and match it with other lip colors and top it off with a lip gloss.

Collective Haul

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? This week is extremely busy and I lost my internet so I haven't had a chance to write a review. I barely have the chance to go online because the issue with my internet is still on going which is really a bummer. So this post is going to be a little short.

I got a few items I'm pretty excited to review and share what I think of these products with you all. The one I am most excited about are the Lioelle BB Creams. I have head so many good reviews about these BB creams and I have to try it myself. I got the 5ml sample tubes on ebay to test it out and see what I think of them. I'm a huge fan of BB creams and I prefer them over foundation, However, one bb cream broke me out so I'm very careful which ones to use. So far Skin79, Skin Food, Etude, Tony Moly, and Danahan works amazing on my skin. All of these I got on sample sizes awhile back and they last a long time because a little goes a long way :). I want to try different varieties and brands so buying them on sample sizes is really practical for me :D.

I'm also thrilled about The Face Shop Nail Polish, the NYC Cheek 2 Cheek which is a bronzer and a highlighter, Maybelline Color Sensational in a new shade, and the new Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Rose Lipstick which I heard is like their version of Lip Butter so I'm really looking forward to trying it. I took separate pictures of the items so you can see them closer :).

I don't wear false lashes and I never have but I think it's never too late for me to learn how. I got a lash adhesive from The Face Shop because the lash glue that came with the lashes were already dried up :D. That's okay because I only got them so cheap so I can't really complain about it. I'll post some swatches soon.

Valentine's Day / First Date Look

Hello everyone! It's Valentine's Day tomorrow. Who's excited?! My fiance' and I don't really have plans for the v-day but I'm doing this look for those who are looking for a makeup idea to wear during this special occasion, and this may help. I was supposed to do this yesterday but my internet has been crazy since the earthquake so I didn't have the chance to write this post. Sorry if this is kind of late already.

I wore this makeup this afternoon when I went to run a quick errand and I actually received a few compliments :D. Maybe because I don't wear too much pink makeup often so I look new today. I think this is the first day time romantic/rosy look I have done. I really like this look because it's very flattering and refreshing. I'm going for a clean, dewy, and romantic look that's also suitable for a first date :).

I did a review of the eye shadow I used on this look yesterday so please check it out if you want to see some more swatches.

Here's what I did to create this look:

1) Always start with cleansing, toning, and moisturizing your face.

2) Apply a thin layer of BB cream. I like using bb creams for this look because it makes your skin look so healthy and flawless. Apply another layer if you need more coverage. You may cover your blemishes right after this step, but only if needed.

3) Allow a few minutes for the bb cream to oxidize so while doing that you can do your eyes. Apply your primer, then cream color base to avoid creasing and make the eye makeup last longer

4) Apply the peachy pink shadow on the inner third of the lids. Then apply the pink shadow on the outer 2/3 of the crease. Apply a small amount of the brownish shade on the outer corner to add depth to the eye look, and blend well up to the crease.

5) Apply the cream color shadow on the brow bone to highlight.

6) Apply a thin layer of pink cream blush on the apples of your cheeks.

7) Set your makeup with loose powder

8) Use a black shadow to fill in the gaps on your upper lashes. This will make the lashes look fuller and the eyes more awake. I didn't use an eyeliner because it will intensify the eyes and wouldn't look natural

9) Apply 2 coats of lengthening mascara for a more natural lashes

10) Apply a peachy blush on the apples of your cheeks and blend it to contour the face a bit. Then brush the remaining product on your jawline, temples, and neck.

11) Apply your favorite pink lipstick and top it off with a gloss if needed.

And you're done! :). If you want to use this look for night time, you can apply eyeliner on the upper and lower lash line; use the pink or shimmery brown shadow to smoke out the eyeliner on the lower lash line; and add some false lashes. I would also deepen up the color on the outer corner by using a dark matte brown shadow and bringing it up to the crease. You can do a cut crease or just blend it with your crease and lid color.

IN2IT Water Proof Eye Color Collection 02 Jester

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, who's excited?! I've had this quad for months now but didn't find a use to it yet because I'm more of a neutral eye look person and I was waiting for the right moment or occasion. Until recently I have seen loads of V-day makeup look which uses pink shadows so I thought of trying this quad out and see how I like it. I thought these colors are surely nice to use for a V-Day makeup look. I'm still undecided though if I'm using this for the look that I am planning to do or the pinkish matte shades from my ELF 32-piece warm palette which are as lovely! So before I post my version on Valentine makeup, I'll write a review of this eyeshadow quad first.

The packaging is a white plastic palette which I find very neat and cute. It's quite sturdy and compact and you know your shadows aren't going to shatter in your makeup bag. The mirror is rather big which I like as it makes your life easy during touch up :), but it doesn't come with an applicator. I don't really use those but I think it's just nice to have in there in case you need it when on the road.

It comes with a shimmery peachy pink shadow, a pink one, and a brownish pink that is great for outer corners, and of course a satin cream color for the brow bone. It contains moisturizers, wild mango, and vitamin e. It's is a waterproof shadow so it doesn't come off easy, but it does wash away if you rub it off. It's not powdery like the regular shadows because it's water resistant so it's not easy to blend.

The color pay off on the first swatch looks pigmented but it doesn't show up on the lids that way as you can't really push the product too much on the lids. You can build up the colors but then again you can only apply as much without making your eyes look cakey. A cream base will help to make the color to pick up easier.

I truly like the color combination because it allows you to create a beautiful rosy smokey eye with just one quad. Looking at the photo above, it really looks lovely. However, I don't enjoy the extra effort just to make the color show up nicely. I just think that it shouldn't be that hard. If you want a pinkish flush of color for day time use, this will do.

Value for money is okay but there are better eyeshadows for the price. This is my fourth eyeshadow from IN2IT and I think this will be my last for now until I find better textures.

My verdict: 3 STARS!!!

Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam

Hello everyone! I have another Etude House product review for you all and it's on the Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam. This is a 30ml sample tube that I got free last year when I purchased a few Etude House products. I think it's nice that they give you free stuff from time to time because if this weren't given to me for free, I wouldn't have known that this as a good face product :D. I'm picky with what I use on my face because I have oily yet sensitive skin so I normally stick to those I am confident with. I'm way past experimental stage which oftentimes cause me skin emergencies so I rarely try new skin care products.

Here's what's in the back...

Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam is formulated with baking powder to gently exfoliate skin and penetrate pores for a thorough cleanse. You only need a small amount on every wash as it lathers up pretty nicely. I like the small bits on the foam because it doesn't hurt the skin and it melts quickly. It's very mild and doesn't sting! It smells like a a baking soda, like a sweet lemon which I really enjoy. After rinsing, the skin feels soft, and stripped off of oil and dirt but totally not drying. My face feels really clean and refreshed.

I have been using this cleanser for 5 days now and I've noticed that my pores visibly minimized. It seems less oily which is a great deal for me. I have not experienced any irritation, or breakout so far so I'm really happy about that. I am a sucker for pore minimizing products so I'm surely excited about this cleanser. I was a little hesitant to use this before so it took me a few months to actually try it, and I'm glad that I did! Should there be any negative effects, I will surely edit this post and let you all know.

FOTD: Sweet Tart

I was supposed to do this post on Sunday but I got a little busy. Then yesterday we had some crazy earthquake here and a whole lot of after shocks so I was a little distracted and forgot all about this look I'm supposed to do. By the way I cut my hair over the weekend :D. It was already growing out and I like my hair short so I decided to cut it.

I realize I haven't done any FOTD with my Revlon Lip Butter yet thus I am making this post . This look is a shimmery grey smokey eye which is just perfect with pink lips. I wanted to keep the eyes dramatic with a soft touch by skipping the eyeliner on the bottom lash line. I did apply cream eyeliner on my upper lash line and water line to define my eyes and make it look fuller. It's a sexy romantic look that's great for Valentine's Day dinner.

The eye shadow I used are from my Elf 32 piece warm palette. I just love this palette because it has all the colors I need when creating a gorgeous smokey eye. They are easy to work with because it's blendable and buildable, and they don't crease!

Here's what I did to achieve this look:

I placed a light brown shadow on my crease and a little above it as my transition color. Then I used a shimmery grey on the inner 2/3 of my lid, a darker grey on the outer third, and a charcoal black on the outer corners. On my crease I added a touch of pink to add warmth to the eyes. I then applied loads of mascara to add drama to the look. For a sexier eyes, wear falsies!

On my cheeks I used my NYC Sunny bronzer to sculpt my face and a hint of ELF tickled pink blush on the apples of my cheeks. I also applied some highlighter on the tops of my cheeks, the bridge of my nose, and my cupid's bow.

I didn't use a foundation for this look because I want it to look subtle-y dramatic, so no heavy makeup :). Besides Danahan BB Cream has a medium coverage so it's really all I need. Then I lightly set it with a loose powder to keep my makeup from melting.

On my lips I have nothing but my Revlon Lip Butter :D.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Mascara

Hello everyone! I have a mascara review for you all today and it's on the famous Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Mascara. This mascara has been raved by many makeup gurus on YT for a long time so I have to have it to see for myself!

I want to start with the packaging first because this is by far the best packaged mascara that I have ever used. The tube is made of high quality plastic which closes really tightly so it prevents the product from drying. I appreciate that it has a separate cap to protect the product from drying out while on display. This also allows you to see the brush through the pack. I think that's really nice and thoughtful.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Mascara Ingredients

The brush is fat but has soft and short bristles. Normally I don't like fat brushes but lash blast doesn't make it hard for me to apply the product. So far I haven't poked my eyes yet :D. It separates my lashes well and doesn't clump at all! The product isn't runny or too thick that I can put on 5 layers without having to worry about clumping. This mascara makes me look like i have natural full lashes. The shade I have is in black and this is non-waterproof but it can hold a curl just fine. This washes off easy but doesn't smudge! It does't have a strong odor and it doesn't sting my eyes. I have been using this for a week now and I haven't experienced any irritation.

I love mascara a lot because it makes a huge difference on the overall look. Mascara brightens the eyes and make you look more awake. The eye makeup is not complete without this product and I cannot imagine my routine without it. It's a must have product for me that's why I always try different brands and different kinds. To date this is the best mascara I have tried and reach for more often. It doesn't clump, makes my lashes look naturally fuller, and stays on until you wash it off. I couldn't ask for more! :D

FOTD: Buff and Wine

Hello everyone! This is another FOTD which is a very easy 10 minute red lip makeup look. I kept the face and the eyes simple and the brows thick but less defined because I was going for a rather elegant yet youthful look.

This is not an everyday look for most of us but is surely wearable during the day because of the very soft face and eyes. The buff toned eye makeup paired with red lips make a nice contrast while maintaining the whole look clean and polished. And you can get away with a messy bun if you're feeling lazy or pressed for time with this makeup! (which I actually did) :D

On the eyes I'm using a sheer eyeshadow quad to keep it soft and subtle. I used the darker brown shade from the quad on the crease, applied the lightest color on the lids and brow bone, and layered 3 coats of mascara on the lashes to add definition and depth to the eyes. I blotted my lips with a tissue because the lipstick I used is very juicy and I want it to look more matte. I lightly brushed the bronzer around my face to add glow to the look.

I love how this makeup can make you look like you put on extra effort in creating this look when it only took a little less than 10 minutes to do. The Face Shop Nail Polish BR802

Hello everyone! I have another The Face Shop Nail Polish for you all and this is on BR802. It's a a neutral beige shade that is suitable for all skin tones and ages. This is a great nail color to wear for everyday, school, and work.

This kind of polish (the one with white handle) have thicker consistency than the one with black handle. I don't know if you've noticed but I have quite a few TFS nail colors and it's always the case. Since it's thicker it's more opaque, and preferred by many. Although this is a little streak and dries pretty quickly, the end result is really good and makes the extra work all worth it.

Below are more swatches. I only applied 2 coats in 5 minutes and it's good to go! It can bubble though so allow enough drying time in between coats. Make sure to always use a base coat as it is highly recommend to prevent damage on the nails. This also removes all the oil from the nails making the polish stick better and last longer. I did not apply the top coat anymore because the shine is good enough for me and I don't need it to last too long, but you can most certainly do so to protect the polish from fading, and chipping.

You can wear this color on your date on Valentine's Day :) or even to the prom without having to compete with your makeup or dress, but will make you look more polished. This is one of the neutral nail colors that I really like a lot because it makes my hands look better :D. I love how this makes the nails look neat and elegant without putting too much work.

Fanny Serrano Long-Last Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Review

Hi there, my name is Chrissy and I write Cosmetic Fixation, a beauty blog. I'm here writing a guest post for Dazzler Makeup and Beauty Blog and to keep with her amazing reviews, I decided to write a review about one of the products I recently got. That's actually the Fanny Serrano Long-Last Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner (what a mouthful!).

This eyeliner from Fanny Serrano is actually a felt-tip type, and is one of their newer releases. When I found out that this was only P195, I immediately decided to give it a try and I'm glad that I did.

This eyeliner is excellent in that it can deliver a precise line, is very pigmented, and has a bit of a shine when it dries so it doesn't look too flat on the eyelid. It dries quickly so you don't have to wait a certain amount of time before you can open your eyelid. What I like about this is that it actually seems smudge-proof and can as a matter of fact deliver on its waterproof claim to some degree.

You can easily create lines of varying thicknesses. This eyeliner is excellent for creating cat eyes because it's completely easy to create a flick on the end with this liner.

Very smudge proof! As you can see, there is some fading on the liner, but this is after I rubbed at it very vigorously. I would even say I rubbed it quite violently--as you can see, even my hand is red now!

Testing the water proof claim, I held this product under water for a while (AFTER I already smudged it). After patting my hand dry, there was no fading or running. However, this product will come off after you rub it (while it's still moist) as you can see in the image I provided below.

But really...who would rub their eyes that hard, right!? To conclude, I absolutely loved this product for its effectiveness and price. For P195 along with the fact that it simply delivers, I believe this product is going to be a staple in my Kikay Kit! 5 stars!

JML Pro Ceramic Straighteners

I've been longing to get this hair straightener since last year but I always thought it's not a necessary so I let it pass. I have bought inexpensive ones but they are not really that good and takes me a long time to straighten my hair. I have baby thin frizzy hair so most of the time pull my hair back because it's more manageable that way and doesn't eat up all my time :D.

I'm not so good at hair styling at all. I wish I am because I'm just envious of girls who can do their hair and style it the way they want. I seriously don't even know how to control my unruly hair with a hair dryer :(. The purpose of my hair dryer is to dry my hair and that's it, LOL! Until recently I got tempted to get this tool and I'm glad I did! At first I thought it's expensive but after using it for a few days now, I think it's a really good investment.

It's a very slim, sleek, and light-weight hair iron which is important and beneficial when styling the hair. Its solid ceramic straightener glides smoothly and gives a beautifully straight hair in minutes! It heats up in about 5 seconds which I think is amazing. With this iron, I can tame my frizzy hair in 5 minutes :D! It has an automatic temperature control so you won't be able to control the heat manually as others may prefer. I don't mind it because so far the heat is enough for me. This is really easy to use because of the 2 meter swivel cable cord so it allows you to move around. It feels durable and heavy duty on the hands and I really like that. The plug is not the traditional 2 prong one we use in the country so you'll need a 3 prong plug adapter which you can get from ace hardware or handy man. One more thing is they offer lifetime warranty, what more can I ask for?!

This is the first solid ceramic hair straightener I have got and I'm really happy about it. It's a little pricey for someone who doesn't style her hair too much but I don't it's really a good investment. When I get better at hair styling, I may get the more expensive one which I can use even on wet hair but for now, I'm happy and satisfied with this product, and I can see myself using this for a long while.

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for the past week. My week is just crazy and I didn't have time to write any review. I have wanted to try this lip butter for awhile now and share what I think of it with all of you but I only had the chance to do it. I bought this on the first week of January, I think the 4th if I still remember it right. So many makeup gurus on youtube and blogs are raving about this lip product and I am so happy that we have it in the country now! I got this for P525 from SM Department Store. I was expecting it to be more expensive but I'm glad that it's priced the same as their lipsticks.

The packaging is really lovely! It looks the same as the Color Burst Lipsticks but the lip butter has a translucent cap. The color of the cover tells the shade of the product so you quite have an idea what it looks like from the packaging. This is a nice pink for everyday wear that doesn't scream fuchsia. It's very creamy, glides on easily, feels very soft on the lips, and very moisturizing. It feels so light that you hardly feel you have it on so if you don't like how a lipstick feels, this one is a good lip product to try.

Revlon Lip Butter Sweet Tart 090 swatch

It's medium sheer which looks really pretty as the lips appear healthy and dewy. You can build it up if you want it to look more opaque. On the swatches below, you'll see how the lipstick's opacity changes with different coats. You can build it up without making it appear like you layered too much product on your lips which I really like! It has a light vanilla smell but it's tasteless. It only lasts a few hours but I don't really mind retouching it. I see myself using this more often :)

I only have good words for this product and I think this is one of the best lip products I have ever tried. What I don't like about lipsticks sometimes is it dries up my lips if not it feels like it's sucking up all the moisture from it. Lip butter feels very comfortable and I am looking forward to trying more shades. I plan to buy Peach Parfait, and Lollipop next time.

The Face Shop Nail Polish PP406 Review

This is my second bottle of this shade and I used up the other one early last year. I love it a lot because this shade is one of the most beautiful dark purple nail polishes I have seen. It has silver glitters which makes the nails look more elegant. This is a great choice if you want to wear a dark nail but don't like black nail polishes. I was planning to wear this shade during the holidays but I didn't get to use it because the one I had on was pretty good as well.

The Face Shop Nail Polish PP406 Swatch

Just looking at the swatches says it all. The shade is really pretty and it's very flattering. Women of all ages can wear this nail color and it should look good on any skin tone. You can wear this day or night and on any occasion. It's very true to its color on the bottle and highly pigmented. I applied 3 coats to achieve this intensity and I'm very happy with it. It's not too thick which makes the application easy enough as it just glides on the nails. It's quick drying so you don't need to worry about waiting for long. This is a perfect polish to use when doing a gradient nail because the first layer is sheer and you can build it up to make the color bolder.

This particular product is very long lasting because the glitters make it stay on longer. I find that it doesn't really chip as the glitter holds the product together. It's even difficult to remove. I have gone 10 days with this nail color before without chipping and I had to take it off because I missed wearing other colors too LOL.

I have nothing bad to say on this nail polish but only good stuff. It works great, lasts long, beautiful and flattering shade, quick drying, and affordable.

My verdict is no doubt 5 STARS!!! I recommend everyone to try this :).

FOTD: Tangerine Lips

How are you all doing? Today's a very busy day for me and I'm still up working until now. I couldn't put on a nail polish to do a review so I decided to go with a FOTD. I have been meaning to do a FOTD using this lipstick for a week now and finally here it is! Nothing too fancy really because this is a very simple look. I just love this lip color because it gives a youthful glow to the face. I was going for a simple yet lovely everyday look for running errands or going to the mall. This is even a great look when going to the beach because it's a very light makeup except for the bright lips :). Although you may want to wear an oil-free foundation for a lasting coverage.

On my face I used Tony Moly bb cream and set it with Revlon Loose Powder. I filled in my brows using a brown shadow and made it appear more straight and thick as this makes the face look younger. I used a light brown shadow on the crease to give it more definition and Etude House Petite Darling Eyeshadow #3 on the lids. The light yellow glitter cream shadow will make the eyes look more awake and cheery. On my lashes I only applied 2 coats of mascara for a more natural look. On my cheeks I used a matte peachy blush just to give the face a flush of color. And of course on my lips I have Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips #3. You can transform this to a night time look by adding more colors to the eyes. I added a medium brown shadow on the outer two thirds of my lids and placed dark brown on the outer corners to make it a smokey look. If you prefer you can also line your eyes for more definition and add some false lashes for a sexy clubbing makeup! :)

FOTD: Simple Cut Crease Makeup

I am not blessed with a defined crease and it doesn't really bother me that much but sometimes it's just nice to see a defined crease :). So today's FOTD is a simple cut crease eye makeup. The shades I used are from my ELF 32 Piece Warm Eyeshadow Palette. I'm such a sucker for neutral shades because it's very easy to pull off and very wearable. I only used 4 shadows on this look and kept it very simple. I did this look early this week and only remembered to make a post of it today.

Cutting and defining the crease is very easy. You can make it appear stronger or softer depending on how you want it to look. I started with priming my eyes and applying my transition color on my crease and slightly above it to make the blending process easy. Next I applied a medium brown shadow on my crease and blended it well. Slowly build up the color until you achieve the definition that you want on your crease. If you don't have a crease, place the shadow where you feel your eye socket sinking in just below your brow bone. Once done apply your lid color and blend it well so there are no harsh edges. Add the highlight color on the brow bone and then apply cream eyeliner to define the eyes. Now curl your lashes, apply mascara, blush, and lipstick and you're done!

I was suffering from flu when I did this look early this week and I think you can tell from my photos. So I changed my lip color from a nude pink to a shiny red to pick me up a bit. Normally when I'm sick I tend to wear bright lips to jazz up my face and make me look more refined and lively as opposed to sick and worn-out, and I think it worked :). You can add false lashes and eyeliner on the bottom lash line to transform this makeup to an evening look.

ELF Studio Cream Eyeliner in Black

I got this in coffee which I purchased December 2009 and I didn't like it as much. The first month of use was okay but then it dried out pretty badly. I cannot even restore it anymore after trying several options which was unfortunate because it's a total waste. However, when I tried the tester and felt that the product is not too thick as the one I had, I decided to give it another try and prayed it doesn't disappoint me again. The eyeliner comes with a small, denser, but softer bristle brush which is very usable. As a matter of fact it's the only brush I use on this product because I have good control and it creates a thin line. I like the product more now because it's not as thick and more blendable than the coffee I got. the first thing I noticed when I swatched it was it's creamier than before making the application very smooth and trouble-free. The color is very black and matte the way I like it. I only swatched it once but you can see that it created a very clean black line, perfect for creating a cat eye.

This liner stays in plays for a very long time when applied on the lash line and it doesn't smudge! I cannot complain about the staying power because this line isn't going anywhere :).I have to use Olive oil to completely remove it. However, it's not all good. I don't like that this melts if I use it to tight line. After 2-3 hours the eyeliner dissolves and transfers on my lower water line which is a little disappointing as I only normally tight line my upper water line for softer looks, unless I'm going for a more dramatic eye makeup. The coffee one was really good though on the water line as it didn't move at all.

If only this liner doesn't melt on the water line, this would have been the perfect liner for me. It's still a good one though and I prefer it than my Fanny Seranno Gel Liner which is a little watery. If you're looking for an affordable but good quality cream eyeliner, this is really a brand product to try. Elf cosmetics are reasonably priced, have good quality, and are worth every penny if you ask me.

NYC Ultra Moist Lip Wear 301B Cafe'

Here's another NYC lipstick review on Ultra Moist Lip Wear 301B Cafe'. I loved the Violet Shine shade I've had for months now so I decided to try this one as well because the shade is a very pretty nude. It's a bronze-y, pinkish, peach-y shade lip color which I heard is comparable to MAC's Viva Glam V, Loreal's Carmel Latte and Revlon's Champagne on Ice, so if you're looking for a dupe of these more pricey lipsticks, you may want to try this one first :).

It's a very creamy and easy to apply balm-like lipstick. I have no issues with staying power because it lasts pretty good. You can certainly build it up but you won't need to because it's extremely pigmented.

This lipstick is quite frosty and may put you off if you're not into pearly lip colors. I already expected it before I got it since Violet Shine is also very metallic. However, you can soften it by adding a nude gloss on top. This is the lipstick I used on the Plum Eyes FOTD that I did yesterday and it looked good. You can check the pictures by clicking on the link. I have to say that the pearls are not too noticeable unless you look closer. I'm not too crazy about it when worn alone but adding a lip gloss or a lip balm makes it look pretty nice. You can wear it alone if you're going for a matte face to add drama to the look as it adds attitude to the lips. This shade will suit fair skin more, but could look too frosty if you have tanned skin.

NYC Ultra Moist Lip Wear 302 Cafe' Swatch

I really like the effect this lipstick gives on the look. It's a great shade to wear if you're sporting a dramatic smokey eye. It's not an ideal shade to wear during day time because of the frost but you certainly can if you want to!

My verdict: 4.5 STARS!!! The quality is good for the price which you can get for $0.99 and is worth the try if you're into collecting lipsticks and like to try different brands.

FOTD: Plum Eyes

I was supposed to do this post on Sunday but I was a little preoccupied then so I thought of doing this post tonight before I go to sleep. This is the look I came up with using the ELF 32 piece warm palette. I like the plum/purple colors on the palette so much because they are extremely pigmented and easy to blend. This makeup is good for parties, dinner, and night outs. The eye makeup is very much intense in person but my camera failed to pick up the true effect. I think the pictures I got are not so bad :).

I have labelled the colors that I used on the eyes. Here's what I did to accomplish this look:

1) Apply primer to make the shadows more longer staying and prevent from creasing

2) Use a sticky base to make the shadows look more intense (optional). On this look I used the Etude House Petite Darling Eyes Cream Eyeshadow #3.

3) Apply the matte light brown shadow (labelled #1) on the crease as your transition color

4) Place the darkest plum shadow #2 on the outer third of the eyes and blend well

5) Apply lid color on the inner 2/3 of the lid using shadow #3 and blend well so there are no harsh edges.

6) Apply matte pinkish plum #4 shadow on the center of the lid. This will tone down all the shimmers on the lids and make the center of the eyes brighter and more pinkish

7) Define the outer V using the black eyeshadow labelled #5

8) I used a matte white eyeshadow on the brow bone to highlight as I have so much glitters on the eyes already

9) Line the eyes with a cream eyeliner and use a pencil liner to line the water line

10) Since using black eyeliner on the lower lash line is too strong for me, I apply the same color shadow on the bottom lash line to create a gradient effect. This helps make the eyes look more subtle.

111) Apply a lighter shadow on the inner corners to brighten up the whole look

Here's the completed look! You can add some false lashes to make the look more dramatic and sexy. It seems like I used a lot of colors and product but this is really easy to do. You just have to have a light hand to lightly blend the colors together.

Etude House Petite Darling Eyes Cream Eyeshadow

Hello everyone! Today I have another Etude House product review and this is on their single cream shadows. Since I got my ELF 32 piece eyeshadow, I have been using it more often and I want to use different kinds of base shadows to intensify the shades. The packaging is rather sturdy and I love the crystal clear top and clean look.

The shades I got are the basic colors I know I'll need more and work with most shadows colors. The first on the left is #1 which is a pearly white shadow and the second one is a light yellow pearly shade. These are both glitter shadows which surprisingly has great quality for only P148 a piece.

Etude House Single Cream Eyeshadow #1 and #3

If you check the swatches, you'll see that these shadows are really pigmented. I only swirled it a few times and got just enough product on my finger when I swatched it. The pearls and glitter and really pretty. You cannot layer this much though because it does crease without a primer. You can wear this alone if you just apply a thin layer, and suits fair to medium skin well. It gives the lid a light hint of pearly glittery color which is good for everyday use. I can imagine these shadows to be a hit on teens because they are really lovely and makes the eyes look more fresh and awake.

If you are looking for an affordable cream shadow to use as a base, this is a good one to try. They make glitter shadows show up more and is a good sticky base if you want to intensify and switch up your shadows. The shadow with the base image looks a lot better in person as it looks more pearly and very pretty!

I'm a fan of Etude House products because they have really good quality. I didn't except too much from this product but I'm surprised of how I really like it. I recommend anyone to try this cream shadow. For the price, you can't go wrong :).

My Top 10 The Face Shop Nail Polish for 2011

I see some posts around beauty blogs on their top 10 products and I thought of doing mine per category. Since I love nail polishes so much, I'm doing this post first! I have a bunch of nail polishes from my 2011 purchases and it's not easy to narrow it down to just 10. 95% of my nail color collection is from TFS so I selected all the colors from the TFS polishes.

I'm attaching the link to my reviews on every polish mentioned on this post in case you want to check the swatches and what I think about every polish. Choosing the best among these 10 polishes is not easy because I love them all. However, if I have to choose the color I loved the most on my nails, so here they are:

BR801 / PP409 / BL604 / OR203 / RD303

1) BL604

I love this the most because my nails looked so elegant on this polish. It's a deep blue nail polish that is a good alternative to black if you don't like wearing a very black polish. It didn't last long on my nails when I first tried it because I was using LA Colors base which I didn't work well with TFS nail polishes. I wore this shade again some time last year and it lasted a long time without chipping.

2) RD303

This is the deep red color which is just gorgeous as well. It's a lovely color to wear if you want to beautify your nails. It looks especially pretty on fair to medium skin tone.

3) RD301

It's a red-orange polish with gold glitters on. It's a little more pricey but it just looks gorgeous and easy to apply!

4) BK901

This is my first crackle polish and I have to say that I really like it. It's a black crackle polish which is a little pricey compared to the regular TFS nail polishes but I think it's worth it as this gives a pretty nail art without all the hard work :).

5) BR801

I really love this sheer beige nail color! It looks lovely on the nails and perfect for any occasion and even wedding because it gives the nails a very elegant look!

6) OR203

This is a very sheer and super gorgeous orange nail color! The sheer effect makes it very wearable and is perfect for the summer and this year when tangerine tango color is IN!

This is another cute summer nail color in candy pink! I love pink so much and I'm just in love with this color!

8) GR502

This I believe is my first green nail polish and I so much love it! It's so flattering and made me fall in love with my own nails LOL!

9) RD301

It's a very lovely red orange shade that will give the nails a nice flush! It's also a good shade to wear this year because it's the fashion color for 2012. I can also see myself wearing this for the summer :)

10) PP409

It's a nice purple-y blue 2 tone shade polish. I like the effect of this polish on my nails as it changes color especially on a high lighting environment, and it's really pigmented and quick drying.

So there you have it! My favorite nail polish shades from my 2011 purchases. I have a few more to review so stay tuned nail color addicts! :D.

Almay Bright Eyes Cream to Powder Shadow 130 Nude

This review is on the Almay Bright Eyes Cream to Powder Shadow 130 Nude. It contains 3.1 grams of shadow and has 2 shades. One is a golden-y champagne lid color which is very pretty, and the other one is a pearly cream lid color that's perfect for highlight. I love cream to powder eyeshadows because they are easy to work with. It's my go to shadow when I am pressed for time or on the road since it's very easy to apply and I don't need to use a brush anymore. I currently have the cream to powder shadow from Revlon but I love the colors and the effect of these shadows a little more :D. This is for light to medium skin tones.

As you can see on the swatch, the colors are really good. They are the perfect nude colors to use for everyday! It brightens up and accentuates the eyes especially when you use the lighter shade on the inner corner. I love how it makes the eyes look radiant and revitalized. The formula is very creamy and lightweight so you hardly feel you have it on your lids. You can use it alone or as a base color to add depth to the shadow. The consistency is very creamy and silky, you can see the gorgeous gold shimmers with just one swatch. It's very pigmented that I only need to apply a thin layer for the color to pick up.

Almay Bright Eyes 130 Nude Swatch

I make sure to prime my lids first and apply powder on top of it before applying this because unfortunately it creases in a matter of minutes :(. It's a cream to powder shadow but I think it's a little bit too oily compared to Revlon's. I'm just glad that I can still use it as a base color and highlighter so it's not really a total waste :).

Overall I like this product as a highlighter and as base color. I just cannot use this alone as shadow because creates a mess. This would have been the perfect duo for the summer if not for the creasing because it gives a natural glow to the eyes. However, this sure will melt on the lid even with primer and a powder base under the sun.

My verdict: 2.5 STARS!!!

Good day to you all. I have another The Face Shop Nail Polish review for you and it's on the YL702 which is a sheer bright sunny yellow nail color. I got this even before the buy 2 take 1 promotion of TFS on December so I thought of doing this first and write about the other 2 later on.

I love the color because it's so vibrant and very much wearable. I think it's a great shade to wear for this time of the year when the weather is nice and summer is near. It's more like a mango yellow color which will suit fair skin really well. I'm thrilled that it made my hands look pinkish :D.

It's very sheer, watery, and a little streaky. The application was easy as it just glides on the nails because of the consistency. However, the watery consistency is also making the product streaky so I had to remove it and reapply. The second application was easy enough after learning from the first use. It only took me about 3 - 5 minutes to finish the application as it dried pretty quickly and bubble free, which is exactly what I love about The Face Shop Nail Polish!

The nail polish is very true to it's color on the bottle. I only had to swatch it twice to achieve this vibrant color. It's still sheer after 2 coats but I like it this way as I know this will last longer on my nails. I skipped the top coat as it's already shiny for my liking. Most of The Face Shop Nail Polishes work the same as far as pigmentation, quick drying, and staying power. They are pretty much consistent with their quality so I like it that I already know what to expect from their nail colors.

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! I recommend this to anyone who like colors on their polishes.

Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips #3

Hello everyone! Today's review is on the Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips #3 Miss Sunny Tangerine. I've planned to post a review of this very gorgeous lipstick from Etude House but I've been busy with the holidays. I've had this for months now and only decided to use it. It's just so pretty that I wanted to hold on to it for a long time LOL.

I got this from the Etude House store for P378 with 2.2. grams of lipstick which I think is a good price considering the quality. The retractable tube packaging is really lovely! SO far the best packaging for lipstick I have seen because it's heavy and glass-like, clean, sleek, and has a cute design! It's one of the lipsticks you would love to have on your purse all the time.

#3 Miss Sunny Tangerine

The shade is a very pretty tangerine! It's a sheer, very glossy, and moisturizing lipstick which is the best thing about it. The color pay off is fantastic and is highly buildable to your liking, although by doing so you load your lips with gloss and make it look very juicy :). On the other hand, the juiciness it gives on the lips looks natural and doesn't appear like you layered on too much product. Application is very easy because it just glides on the lips. It has a citrus scent and is taste-less which for me is a huge plus!

Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips #3 Swatch

I'm currently suffering from flu but effect of the lipstick made me look a little revitalized on this photo :D. The shade looks more vibrant in person believe me. It's not very long lasting as it transfers but I am okay with it. I don't consider it as a CON at all because this lip color has a lot more to offer. This product doesn't feel like lipstick but more like a very pigmented lip balm because it's so light on the lips. It's an amazing lip color for daily use and is also available in other shades if you're not into tangerine/orange lipsticks :).

I love Etude House products because they're good quality and reasonably priced. Tangerine lipstick shades are IN this year so it's the best time to use it :). I recommend this to any lipstick addict out there. I UBER like it and I will surely try other shades!
