In an increasingly competitive world, it does not matter if you had taken a bar exam, CPA exam, or even a college exam, disappointing exam results may seem as if they are the end of the world. Coping with worse grades than expected is not easy, but there are ways to make the process pass by as quickly as possible. As difficult as it may seem to believe in the heat of the moment, it is important that you realize that not meeting your exam result expectation is far from the end of the world. By no means do poor exam results equate to being a failure. For instance, I have heard that between 10% and 17% of participants taking all four CPA exams actually pass on the first try.

1. The first goal you should look towards is acceptance. Many of those who have worked rigorously before their exams go into a stage of denial when they see their exam results. While this process of denial is natural, one should attempt to recover from it as quickly as possible. Only once you have accepted your results can you work towards feeling better about them.
2. It often helps talking to somebody who is not involved with the situation. While talking to a classmate at a sensitive time such as when grades are published might ignite more harm than good, a teacher, counselor or a friend outside of school may offer a hug and some good advice. It might also help talking to people who are making the situation more difficult than it already is. This may include parents or friends who you fear might be as disappointed as you are with your result.
3. Poor exam results often provide a great platform for finding one’s self. If you seem to be doing poorly in a certain discipline, you might finally realize that you are best off exploring options you are more comfortable with, and that you possibly enjoy more. One cannot excel at anything, and poor exam results can help give people some much needed direction.

Once you begin thinking less pessimistically about the situation at hand, you can begin diversifying your options to meet your current situation. If you are applying to colleges, you might want to prepare a more realistic list of options, rather than sticking to what you had planned before your grades arrived.

You can also consider retaking your examinations if the concerned education board allows for that option. You should remember that in times of immense stress such as those experienced after receiving disappointing exam results, a change of scenery can work wonders in helping you calm down. Take a break from your daily routine and spend some time having fun outdoors. Once you get some breathing space, your mind is bound to work much better to draw a plan of action on how to make up your academic life. Most importantly, you should learn to express your emotions in a positive way, and avoid using drugs to relieve the stress.

Before you consider retaking your exam, remember these two important tips.

1. It is very important to outline your scope of work before you take your exam because your brain will begin to piece together the answers for you. Have you ever forgot something you tried very hard to remember and about 15 minutes later it hits you? That is because your brain is still processing this information for you.
2. Know your upcoming exam’s timetable so you are not left having to rush through the remaining answers with out giving them much thought.  It has always been much easier and of course much safer to study before your exam. Try grabbing a book in reference to the subject you received the lowest score in and try to spend at least 1 week reading about this subject if time permits you to do so.

Now this is quite interesting, everyone is waiting for the release of Samsung Galaxy SIII and there is a rumor that Samsung is planning to go for Samsung Galaxy S IV (S4) as well. Though it seems to be quite unbelievable and unreliable. Recently I was in a tour with my friends and I met with a guy who is currently working in Samsung. We had a conversation about Samsung Galaxy SII and upcoming device SIII. I was totally amazed when he told that Samsung is also planning to launch Samsung Galaxy S4 in near future. Although he was not at all interested to provide any information about Galaxy SIII or S4, but when I doubted on him regarding Samsung Galaxy S4, he told that a team of his senior officers are working on the specs and model of Samsung Galaxy S4 and he also showed me few projected models for Samsung Galaxy S4, which he had in his laptop. One of the most considered model is below.

On promising that I will not disclose his name, he let me know that Samsung Galaxy S4 might have 3D display and 3D camera. The device will have only one physical button on the right hand side, which is a POWER BUTTON along with one sensor touch button for camera. Left side of the device has sensor touch buttons for volume up and volume down. Again there are four sensor touch buttons at the bottom of the screen.

After seeing the above image, it seems that front camera and proximity sensor has been shifted to right for better management. The screen size is still undecided. He did not provided any information about CPU, RAM, memory, etc. The knowledge he had about this device makes me feel that this rumor is quite promising. I have taken that person in my circle so that we can get more information about Samsung Galaxy S4. I will update this post if I will get some more info.

Although, the knowledgebase and projected model pics he had shown me in his laptop about Samsung Galaxy S4 seems quite promising but still we cant confirm that this is trustable at this stage.

A laptop is a necessity for the modern world, but choosing the right one for you can turn into a nightmare. With so many different brands, models and features on offer, the choice can become overwhelming – particularly if you’re just looking for something to browse Facebook and do a bit of online shopping.

A good bit of advice is to always go for a trusted brand such as Zoostorm, Toshiba or Asus. Not only are these manufacturers a good sign of quality, they are all usually reasonably priced too. Stick to your budget and don’t get distracted by lots of extras that will bump up the price – unless you really need them.

If you just need a laptop for basic word processing, you won’t need a great deal of memory. The standard 2GB of RAM and 250GM hard drive should be sufficient for your needs. This should also bring your total cost to under £500.

If you need something more powerful, perhaps to replace a desktop computer, then you will need to look for something with at least 4GB of RAM and about 500GB of space on the hard drive. This will give you plenty of space for storing documents, photos and videos. It’s also important to bear in mind that the more powerful a laptop, then bulkier it is likely be. So if you need something that’s easy to carry around and has good battery life, then you’ll probably need a less powerful laptop.

A netbook is a great option when portability is key, as their small and light design make them ideal for travelling. This does usually limit their capabilities to basic internet surfing and word processing. Tablets are another good option for people on the go, as they often have similar specifications to a netbook and can be accessorised with a bluetooth keyboard.

Now for the smaller details. If your laptop will be used as a desktop replacement, then check it has enough USB ports for all your connections, such as your speakers and mouse. If you plan to Skype, check it has a webcam of suitable quality. Portable laptops will not usually come with a DVD drive, so you will need to preload your music and videos to enjoy them on the go.

Update 1: Now you can login to multiple Gmail accounts simultaneously in Gmail Mobile too. For Multiple Gmail Sign In, click on the account switcher at the bottom of the thread list and then click on “Sign into an another account.” Now you can quickly switch between two Gmail accounts by selecting the desired account from the Accounts menu.

Update 2: Sign up for a google account or gmail.com account means that you are signing up for Google plus account too. It means that if you sign up for a www.gmail.com Gmail account or Google account, it will automatically create a Google Plus account for you and your all the Google services will have same logins and will be integrated with each other. Means when you login your Gmail account (www.gmail.com), it will automatically login your Google and Google plus account too.

Update 3: Google has recently changed their privacy policy and have merged all their policies to a single privacy policy. It means that the privacy policy of Gmail (www.gmail.com) has also been changed. You can have a look in their new privacy policy, if you are very much conscious about your privacy.

Finally a good news for Samsung Galaxy SII owners, Samsung has recently released official Android 4.0 (Ice-cream Sandwich) update for SGS2. The ICS firmware is dated 9th March 2012. Although Samsung has taken a little bit of time for releasing the ICS update still this firmware has no bluish ICS interface and is very much similar to Android 2.3.6. Galaxy SII owners must be expected something better, I, myself being a Samsung Galaxy S2 user, wanted a little more from them. Right now we can only wait for another update with few new features.

The firmware is based on I9100XXLPQ (4.0.3) with modem XXLPQ and CSC OXALPQ, while the kernel build is 3.0.15. Although the update has not taken place worldwide and is limited to certain countries, but still if you want to try this ICS final build from Samsung, then you can have a look at XDA Forum or SAM Mobile, from where you can download this firmware along with the instructions for flashing/updating your Samsung Galaxy S2.
