You want to buy a screen that is appropriate for your application and won’t overwhelm your audience. Another important factor is the capabilities of your projector. Projectors are limited to the size of image that they can display without losing quality. Ideally, the screen size should occupy a minimum of a 30? field of view for the audience. The rule of thumb is to use a screen height that is approximately one third the distance from the screen to the audience seating. Screen Material – Choosing the correct screen material is essential for displaying the optimum picture quality. Seating configuration, projector model and type as well as ambient light are all factors that must be considered.
