Set to push the boundaries of endurance and live performance with the launch of BPMATHON, Miami electronic artist and entrepreneur Eddy Palermo announces a world-first challenge to complete a 50-kilometre run while DJing live.

Taking place on Saturday 8th August 2026, BPMATHON will see Eddy attempt to complete a 50K run while performing a continuous live DJ set, combining two of his greatest passions, music and endurance sport, in an event designed to inspire and create meaningful impact.

BPMATHON will take place at The Underline, Miami’s 10-mile linear park and urban trail stretching from Brickell to Dadeland. A landmark public space beneath the Metrorail, The Underline has become a vibrant corridor where millions come to move, live and grow together. To make the challenge possible, Eddy will perform using a custom-built, self-pushed DJ rig on wheels, allowing him to run and DJ live simultaneously throughout the full 50K challenge.

The initiative will raise money for Friends of The Underline, a Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming public space into opportunities for healthier, more active living. In a world increasingly shaped by AI, screens and social media, Friends of The Underline’s mission is to encourage people to be active, move their bodies, and decompress from the stresses of modern life through running, biking and walking. The BPMATHON aims to help more people build healthier habits and reconnect with the outdoors through accessible, community-driven movement.

During BPMATHON, Eddy’s event brand ZENSKI will also activate along the course with a live pop-up party experience on the route. Designed to transform sections of the race path into immersive music moments, the activation will bring together runners, spectators, and Miami’s local music community through sound, movement and energy. Founded by Eddy in 2024, ZENSKI has evolved into a Miami-based events platform known for immersive decor, inclusive experiences, and a commitment to female-forward lineups within electronic music culture.

"BPMATHON is the fusion of endurance running with the magic of music. The idea came about when I saw videos online of people running 5Ks while DJing, and I said to myself, "why not run 50K?". This is a real challenge for me because just running 50K without DJing is difficult, and just DJing for seven hours without running is difficult. Doing both at the same time will definitely push me to a new limit.”

Estimated to take seven hours, BPMATHON is as much a mental challenge as it is a physical one. Running 50K alone is a major feat. DJing continuously for seven hours requires intense concentration, stamina and energy. Combining both simultaneously creates an entirely new level of endurance.

Born in Miami to Cuban and Italian parents and raised in Weston, Florida, Eddy's life has long been shaped by music, sports, and passion. From discovering his love of electronic music as a teenager at Ultra Music Festival, then later spending hours at Club Space, to building a career in events, sales and entrepreneurship, he has consistently pushed himself beyond conventional limits. Between 2020 and 2025, Eddy completed 14 endurance races, including 7 Ironman competitions and 7 marathons, using endurance sport as a foundation for discipline, resilience and mental strength. Those same values now sit at the heart of BPMATHON.

World Beats Vol. 2 doesn’t try to grab you instantly it unfolds, patiently, like a deep set in a small, packed club where the focus is on groove rather than spectacle. The collaborations are the real backbone: Byron the Aquarius injects looseness and jazz DNA his touch is immediately recognizable in the swung rhythms and slightly off-grid keys. These moments feel alive, almost jam-session-like. Tilman brings polish and restraint. His contributions tend to be more hypnotic, smoothing transitions and keeping the flow meditative. Trinidadian Deep adds emotional weight his Afro-deep sensibility introduces warmth and a sense of space that elevates the project beyond pure club functionality. Fire Drums II close the ep, an electronic/percussive track with a tribal and hypnotic feel. It combines intense drum rhythms with dance and worldbeat sounds, creating an energetic and ritualistic atmosphere. With his distinctive touch for melody and texture, "Thunder EP" opens a portal to a new world, both vibrant and underground. Split into two parts, the A-side burns with a groovy house and breakbeat energy, while the B-side shines with deep, progressive and electronic soundscapes.

With its powerful vocals reminiscent of Bicep and a melody that brings a breath of fresh air, the opening track of the EP "Thunder" has all the makings of a future anthem. It perfectly sets the tone with its raw breakbeat energy and rolling textures

Right after, the A2 "You've Got The Feeling" offers a subtle blend of softness and groove. True to Houseum’s deep and sunny DNA, the track revolves around an effective classic piano house hook and a captivating soul vocal that instantly sticks in your head.

Closing the A-side, "Space Jam" shifts into more atmospheric territories with floating vocals and airy synth pads, moving the dancefloor toward a deeper, more mental vibe.

On the flip side, the hypnotic bassline of the B1 "Bullet Train" sets the pace immediately. The track nods to 90s progressive house through its structure while offering distinctive deep tech and dub techno sounds.

Following the success of Part 1, we return with Part 2. This time, we bring you the long-awaited repress of what is arguably Giom’s most iconic track—his remix of As Darkness Falls by Vernon & Dacosta. Originally released in 2007 on San Francisco’s Amenti Music, it quickly became an underground classic, with deep house fans worldwide captivated by Apple Rochez’s unforgettable “better records in my record bag” hook. If any track helped launch Giom’s career, it’s this one. On the flip side, we revisit another Amenti gem. Originally released in 2012, Summerized was produced exclusively for Giom’s 10 Years of Amenti mix CD. It has remained unavailable digitally for over 10 years and never saw a vinyl release—until now. Rounding things out is Play On, also released in 2012 on the Greek label Fly in a Jam Records. Showcasing a more Nu-Disco edge, it makes its vinyl debut here. A firm personal favourite, this one has never left Giom’s USB stick. Special thanks go to mastering engineer Rob Small, who has carefully elevated all of these track to a 2026 sonic landscape. Scheduled for release on 15 July 2026, Nostalgia marks another carefully curated chapter in the catalogue of Chichi Music, the Palermo-born independent label founded by Arturo Gioia aka Artu. Throughout the years, the imprint has quietly established a recognisable identity built around timeless club music rather than seasonal trends, consistently favouring artists capable of balancing dancefloor functionality with musical depth.

Spanish producer DOMO (ES) fits naturally into this philosophy. Instead of relying on oversized drops or exaggerated arrangements, his approach privileges subtle movement, organic rhythm and patiently evolving textures. Even within the available preview excerpts, Nostalgia reveals an artist who understands that the strongest grooves often emerge through restraint rather than excess.

Chichi Music: consistency over fashion

Since its inception, Chichi Music has cultivated a catalogue aimed at selectors who appreciate vinyl culture, analogue aesthetics and sophisticated club programming. Rather than chasing the latest micro-trends, the label has continued to develop an identity rooted in minimal house, deep grooves and elegant production values.

Nostalgia comfortably reinforces that direction. It is a release designed for DJs who appreciate records revealing new details over repeated listens instead of demanding immediate attention.

Într-un moment în care relația dintre om și natură devine tot mai fragilă, expoziția Peisaje entropice – Ecologii vii / Entropic Naturescape – Living Ecologies propune la Muzeul Vrancei o întâlnire între artiști din România și din spații culturale diferite, reuniți în jurul unei întrebări comune: cum poate arta să reflecte transformarea lumii vii și să deschidă noi forme de sensibilitate ecologică?

Expoziția reunește lucrări de pictură, grafică și sculptură realizate de artiști din România și din spații culturale diferite, propunând o reflecție asupra peisajului ca teritoriu viu, vulnerabil și aflat într-o continuă transformare. Conceptul expoziției pornește de la ideea de entropie - înțeleasă ca proces de schimbare, dispersie, eroziune și reorganizare - și o aduce în dialog cu noțiunea de ecologie vie, în care natura nu mai este privită ca simplu decor, ci ca sistem complex de relații, memorie, materie și fragilitate.

Proiectul propune, totodată, o deschidere către zona artei ecologice și sustenabile, înțeleasă nu doar ca temă vizuală, ci și ca posibilă practică artistică. De la natura reprezentată în imagine, expoziția prefigurează o cercetare mai amplă asupra naturii ca material, proces și sursă de reflecție: pigmenți organici, materiale naturale, tehnici tradiționale sau experimentale și forme de lucru care pot aduce arta mai aproape de ritmurile și fragilitățile ecosistemelor vii.

Peisaje entropice – Ecologii vii invită publicul să privească natura dincolo de imaginea sa idealizată, ca spațiu al urmelor, al intervențiilor, al degradărilor și regenerărilor succesive. Lucrările expuse propun abordări diverse ale relației dintre om, teritoriu, corp, memorie și mediu: de la peisaje recognoscibile și forme organice, vegetale sau minerale, până la compoziții abstracte, texturi, semne, stratificări și construcții plastice care vorbesc despre transformarea materiei și a lumii vii.

Expoziția aduce împreună artiști întâlniți în contexte culturale și artistice diferite, inclusiv tabere, rezidențe și proiecte internaționale, configurând o hartă vizuală a unor ecologii interioare și exterioare. În acest sens, proiectul propune nu doar o întâlnire între lucrări, ci și o întâlnire între geografii, sensibilități și moduri diferite de raportare la natură, memorie și spațiul locuit.

Expoziția marchează începutul unei direcții curatoriale asociate platformei online în devenire EastArt.eu, aflată în prezent în format de blog și concepută ca spațiu de documentare, dialog și conectare între artiști din România, Europa de Est, Balcani și din alte contexte culturale. Ideea platformei a pornit din întâlnirile directe cu artiști cunoscuți în tabere și rezidențe internaționale, în special din spațiul balcanic, unde curiozitatea față de România și față de scena artistică locală a deschis posibilitatea unor noi forme de dialog și colaborare.

În contextul Muzeului Vrancei, proiectul capătă și o dimensiune locală, legată de memorie, teritoriu și apartenență. Vrancea, cu peisajele sale naturale, rurale și seismice, devine un fundal conceptual pentru o expoziție care vorbește despre instabilitate, transformare, continuitate și reconectare.

Peisaje entropice – Ecologii vii propune o lectură sensibilă a lumii naturale și a relației noastre cu aceasta, într-un moment în care fragilitatea ecosistemelor devine tot mai vizibilă, iar arta poate funcționa ca instrument de atenție, reflecție și responsabilitate.

Vernisajul este deschis publicului. Expoziția va putea fi vizitată ulterior conform programului și condițiilor de acces ale Muzeului Vrancei.

Pikes Presents x Back To Mine returns to 528 Ibiza on Tuesday, July 21st, 2026, welcoming Sasha and John Digweed back to the island following their standout debut at the venue last summer. Taking place across multiple stages, the event brings together a lineup of international artists for another open-air to late-night musical journey at one of Ibiza's most distinctive venues.

Set across its open-air Garden, indoor club space and, new for 2026, the Forest Stage, 528 Ibiza provides a multi-space setting that transitions naturally from sunset through to late-night performances. The evening begins in the Garden before moving into the club, while the addition of the Forest Stage introduces a new setting for 2026, creating an immersive experience across the venue.

Headlining the event are Sasha and John Digweed, whose longstanding partnership has made them one of electronic music's most respected and influential duos. Renowned for their extended sets and seamless performances, they return to 528 Ibiza with another carefully curated performance spanning House, progressive and Techno.

Opening the Garden stage is Mick Wilson, setting the tone ahead of the headline set. As the night progresses, Erol Alkan takes over the Club alongside CENTRL and SUNiSUN, while the new Forest Stage is hosted by OpenLab with a special guest performance from Mali Santacreu.

Onderons Records is delighted to welcome sEmoa, the Romanian-born, East London-based producer, to their catalogue with four captivating productions.

Opening the EP, Tofu Sunday introduces a surprising kick pattern, accompanied by drone-y synth parts that create an eerie atmosphere. Followed by In The Land Of Dreams, I'm Free, a deep and atmospheric excursion built around rolling snares and haunting textures. On Shadow Showdown, powerful drum programming intertwines with delay- and filter-modulated stabs, resulting in a hands-up, face-down moment. Closing the EP, sEmoa shifts into more introspective territory with Escape! (Ambient Mix), a trippy, dreamlike ambient piece that gently brings the journey to an end.

All tracks are written and produced by sEmoa and mastered by Pheek.

f: Hi Dean, it's a pleasure to chat with you today, how are you?

Dean Montano: Very well thankyou. Enjoying this current wave of weather we’re having!

f: Please tell us a little about yourself, where you're from and how you started making dance music?

Dean Montano: I am Nottingham born and bred but have lived in Manchester now for near 20 years (I also went to Uni in Manchester in the 90s). The late 90s was also when I started DJing, having bought a pair of Technics 1210’s (which are currently under the sofa in my little studio – I have no idea if they still work!). I managed to bag some bar gigs and basically went from there. It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I decided to dip my toes in music production, and my eyes were completely opened when I first sat in the studio with some excellent producers. From there I invested in Ableton and have been self-teaching and making my own tracks ever since.

f: Who did you listen to growing up and do they influence your music career at all today?

Dean Montano: Well, my parents were and are to this day staunch Motown and Northern Soul lovers. That is all they ever listen to! So, I pretty much know all the words to most tracks from that era. But when I think back to how I got into dance music was really due to the time I lived in. I just fell in love with 1988 acid vibes, the 90’s vocal and progressive house stuff that followed. I was at ease with both sets of genres. My mates would call the vocal stuff “happy clappy garage”, but I loved it!  Alistair Whitehead was my hero in the 90s.  But I also loved the polar opposite of that music, dancing like crazy on podiums at clubs like Cream, Hacienda, Rise at the Leadmill, Back to Basics, and of course many trips to Ibiza.

f: How would you describe your sound?

Dean Montano: As a DJ, I am multi-genre. I play Nu-Disco, vocal and funky House, and more Deep and Progressive stuff. All depends on the venue. I also span across these genres on my weekly radio show live on Ibizapulsefm. As a Producer I am kind of following suit. However, I am leaning more to the stomping house side. I really prefer to construct a banger rather than a slower Nu Disco track. However, saying that, I am working on a Balearic track that is 110bpm!

f: What was your first release?

Dean Montano: My very first release was a track called Deeper than Deep that I made with Atari Safari. I had a reference track, a vocal I wanted to use, and we just went from there. It was such a fantastic experience.

f: Which of your own tracks was the biggest labour of love to create / personal favourite?

Dean Montano: For me it’s ‘6am Sunrise’ from my new ‘1am Heat’ EP.  I started the track back in November 2025 and didn’t put it down until about April 2026!  I just kept dipping in and out non-stop trying to perfect it. I just love the vibe of this track. For me it encompasses all things Balearic. It’s definitely my personal favourite.

f: What has been your most successful release?

Dean Montano: I achieved a number 3 spot in the Deep House chart with my track Funk Sensation which was released on Muscle Funk.

f: And what’s your favourite (own) remix?

Dean Montano: I am actually working on one now. I can’t say too much at this moment. Watch this space!

f: You’ve just released your new ‘1am Heat’ EP on Muscle Funk, what can we expect to hear?

Dean Montano: Well, ‘1am Heat’ is my ode to a big room romp. Driving percussive beats, cowbell, chopped up vocals, soaring synths, disco string loops, and peppered with epic builds and intense rolls that ramp up the dance floor temperature to fever level! ‘6am Sunrise’ comes with a touch of old school nostalgia from my 90s clubbing days. Arpeggios rotate over floaty synthscapes, fizzy electronica and breathy vocals, all underpinned by a groove that leads into a big breakdown loaded with even more twists and surprises. Both Balearic bangers!

f: What inspired the EP?

Dean Montano: In one word… Ibiza. I wanted something that epitomised the Ibiza clubbing experience. That 1AM dance floor heat to the 6AM sunrise. The tracks are very different but I’m hoping I capture the essence of the night… or should I say morning!

f: How do you typically go about putting a track together?

Dean Montano: I’d say I am a little unconventional. I love free styling. I don’t have a set template (I probably should have).  I have something in mind and then I end up down a rabbit hole. I love that about music production though. The creativity is endless. I will get a groove going and just organically go from there adding and taking away elements as I go. A lot of people are scared of Session View in Ableton, but I love it!!! My approach is probably super inefficient, and the purists would tut like hell if they saw me work.

f: What’s your favourite piece of studio kit?

Dean Montano: Just my Midi keyboard. Great for free styling and generating ideas.

f: What’s been your favourite gig of the year and where are you most looking forward to performing soon?

Dean Montano: The Muscle Funk Music label parties are always epic, with the next one coming up early July. I am really looking forward to playing the Boho Festival in Nottingham 26^th July, and the Hacienda Event also in Nottingham on the August 22nd.

f: Who would you love to do a B2B set with?

Dean Montano: I’d probably have to say Hot Since 82.

f: What has been your biggest triumph in your musical career so far?

Dean Montano: I think from going from zero production knowledge to getting tracks out onto Muscle Funk Music. It’s such an amazing buzz, but every day is still a learning day.

f: And your biggest challenge?

Dean Montano: Navigating the challenges of social media, gigs, .and of course the vast array of Plug-Ins available to Ableton!

f: Which dance track holds the most precious memories for you?

Dean Montano: Gosh!  That’s a tough one. I’d probably have to say Kym Syms ‘Too Blind to See It’. I remember the first time I ever heard it, in a club in Nottingham in 1991. It was incredible. A more notable time was back in 2003 when Steve Lawler surprisingly played a classics set on the Space Terrace in Ibiza, and he dropped it. There was about 12 of us there, and it was just the best clubbing day of my life. The whole day just had everything, and this tune just takes me right back there. 

f: Who are your top 3 current producers?  

Dean Montano: Oooh… this is a tough one! There are so many amazing producers out there. However, I can mention 3 straight away as I absolutely love the stuff they put out. Nick Curly, Crusy, and CASSIMM.

f: What else are you working on at the moment that you can tell us about?

Dean Montano: I have a few tracks I am working on that the moment. I’m definitely starting to experiment more and more. Not only with the vibe I’m going for, but also what I can do with them from a technical perspective. Watch this space!

'Weekend' Brings French Touch Nostalgia Into 2026

Electronic music has always borrowed from the past while looking towards the future, and Mazay alongside HIGH'S COOL strike that balance beautifully on Weekend. Hidden – The Social Space găzduiește pe 9 iulie de la ora 19:00 vernisajul expoziției „Valentin m-a trezit! – Fragmente”, o selecție de lucrări semnate de Noni-Emil Iordache, pictor și autor al numeroase volume de versuri publicate, unul dintre acei artiști rari pentru care cuvântul și imaginea nu sunt discipline separate, ci manifestări ale aceleiași sensibilități.

Expoziția continuă seria începută cu „Valentin m-a trezit!” și explorează zona de tensiune dintre figurativ și abstract, dintre memorie și prezent, dintre ceea ce poate fi rostit și ceea ce rămâne dincolo de limbaj. Lucrările activează, iar fiecare fragment înrămat funcționează ca o unitate de sens completă: poeme vizuale cu ramă ce refuză explicația și reclamă prezență.

Titlul „Valentin m-a trezit!” trimite la începutul practicii picturale a artistului, dar și la ideea mai largă de trezire: acel moment în care o carte, o prezență, o pierdere, o fisură de lumină, un adevăr nerostit schimbă felul în care privim. Fragmentele care compun expoziția sunt urmele acestei reconfigurări.

Curatoriată de Andrei Bucureci, expoziția transformă spațiul Hidden într-un loc al apropierii, al privirii și al întâlnirii impasto dintre imagine și poezie.

Vernisajul are loc pe 9 iulie 2026 ora 19:00. Expoziția este dublată de un moment de spoken word cu texte de Noni-Emil Iordache, pe 25 iulie, ora 19:00 și de un finisaj-licitație pe 10 august, ora 19:00.

For that performance, he blended the gorgeous vocals from his iconic 2013 track, Yousef & The Angel ‘Float Away’ (FFRR), with ‘For The Good Times’ from his latest album, forming an emotive, floor-shaking highlight that instantly became his secret weapon in sets. Now, after months of lighting up dance floors with it, he’s finally giving the track a full release. File under secret weapons!

Italian DJ and producer Luca Guerrieri keeps his momentum surging with his latest slice of dance-floor fever, ‘Chicago’. A tight percussive groove pulls you straight in, from the first beat, setting the stage for Luca’s infectious modern disco-house vibes. Sweeping string loops glide over a punchy bassline, while vocal stabs flicker through the mix to lift the energy higher. Romanian singer-songwriter Ligia Hojda returns with her new single JOY, an indie-folk ode written alongside French songwriter and producer Guillaume Boscaro and cellist Raphaël Zweifel.  

Written during a songwriting session in the south of France, JOY grew out of a simple afternoon spent making music with friends in a garden. What began as a spontaneous moment gradually became a song about curiosity, presence and the beauty hidden in everyday life.

Blending warm acoustic textures and soaring melodies with an uplifting spirit, Joy is the kind of song that slips effortlessly into everyday life - on a morning walk, during a long drive, through a pair of headphones on a crowded train, or simply while watching the world go by.

“I see Joy as a companion” says Ligia Hojda. “A song you can take with you wherever you go. We live in a time that constantly asks us to move faster and drift away from our intuition. Joy is an invitation to see the world with fewer certainties and more wonder. Explore, look around and find the beauty that is already there.”

The release follows her first EP “Doina”, her first collaboration with the multi-platinum composer Guillaume Boscaro. While Doina explored themes of longing, transformation and belonging, Joy reveals a brighter and more playful side of her songwriting.

Born in Maramureș, in northern Romania, Ligia Hojda is a confirmed songwriter, performer and vocalist, blending indie, alternative and pop influences with subtle elements of traditional culture.

Phosphor returns with its fifth release and a new chapter for the label’s founders, Blue Vision. As their second EP on the imprint, Machines Will Transform Us (PHP005) confirms the project’s direction: a precise balance between club-driven tech house and more immersive, hypnotic electro textures.

Across the EP, Blue Vision asks a simple question: after spending our days connected to algorithms and modern machines, can repetitive rhythms and mechanical grooves on the dancefloor turn us into machines once again, or instead help us reconnect with ourselves?

Machines Will Transform Us (A1) opens the EP with a driving Italo bassline and tight, tech-driven drums. Melodic 80s synths contrast with sharper electro elements, gradually building tension before a final drop designed for peak-time impact. The track sets the tone for the release: machines transform us as much as we transform them.

Then comes Just a Game (A2), blending spacious 90s progressive and synthwave influences over a rock-solid club bassline and crisp drums. Playing with atmosphere and emotion, the track explores the feeling that we are never too far from a simulation, that maybe everything is just a game. Perfectly suited for introspective yet intense moments, it acts as an ideal bridge between harder tracks in a set.

On the flip side, I Love Acid (B1) is direct, hypnotic, and designed to lock the dancefloor into a steady flow. Stripped back to punchy drums and a raw acid line, it takes a minimal approach that works equally well in early hours or late-night sets. Behind the title lies the idea of acid as both machine energy and mental escape, where repetitive sequences blur the boundary between human emotion and mechanical movement.

As a final touch, Scan Your Brain (B2) shifts into deeper, more immersive territory. Analog pad textures create a drifting atmosphere over a hypnotic bassline and electro drums. With this closing track, Blue Vision answers their initial question by imagining the dancefloor as a space to disconnect from rigid thinking. The vocal serves as a reminder that the brain is constantly overloaded, and that dancing becomes a way to let go, reset, and reconnect.
