Free antivirus and internet security from Microsoft

Good news for those who do not like and afford to pay for an Antivirus. Microsoft will stop selling its unpopular OneCare security software and has announced it will offer it for completely free to download and will support Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 from the end of June 2009. The new software, code-named Morro, will be a no-frills program suited to smaller and less powerful computers.

So what will happen to McAfee and Symantec? We will know about it later maybe. But for now people maybe still must use one of those antivirus, or maybe better to use free antivirus like Avast and AVG. But i myself recommend to use Avast than AVG. Because from my own experience, AVG gave me more troubles while Avast is more better and my PC can stand longer with it.

In a statement, Microsoft said that Morro would be designed specifically to be a small-footprint program that uses fewer system resources. This, it said, would be ideal for users with low-bandwidth connections or computers without much processing power.

Firefox 3.1 Beta 1 wants to compete with Google Chrome

While training for Chrome is somewhat dropped, the browser Google gave Mozilla teams a good reason to accelerate the pace. Mozilla released Firefox 3.1 beta 1 on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 2:42 pm, incorporating many new features, including new engine TraceMonkey JavaScript and the Gecko rendering engine version 1.9.1.

Due to firm up since the release of Chrome and its V8 engine, TraceMonkey promises to be up to 40 times faster than its predecessor SpiderMonkey, currently used. Samsung M8800 Pixon mobile phone

Unveiled at last the full specifications of the Samsung M8800, a model that we saw recently with the name of Bresson, but it seems that his code name is Pixon. In any case, either of the two names together perfectly describes his main task, the photograph.

With a market capitalization of about three billion dollars, Sandisk is the largest prey that has never attacked Samsung. Current world number one on the market for flash memory, the South Korean quoted by various American financial publications, including Bloomberg, expressed their intention of acquiring its competitor Sandisk.

A Samsung spokesperson, James Chung, said: "We are considering various opportunities regarding SanDisk but nothing has been decided."

These ambitions redemption would among other things motivated by the prospect of no longer having to pay royalties to the American firm for patents it holds. Samsung would pay in effect a Sandisk 400 to $ 500 million to use the technologies concerned. Google Chrome - All in one internet browser

Do you know what is Google Chrome? If you still don't know what is Google Chrome, it is a new Internet browser that was launched by Google. Means, Google now has their own internet browser. They really want to conquer internet huh .......

So far, i think it is faster than any other browsers. It loads and surfs faster. But it is still lack of a few functions like not supported stumble button yet. I think StumbleUpon still not creating Stumble button to this browser so the stumblers still cannot stumble with this browser.

The design is quite simple but attractive. It looks like Netscape Navigator, only Google Chrome is more to blue while Navigator is more to black. I feel a bit awkward at the beginning of using it, maybe because it is still new. But now i'm getting more like to use it.

From what i read from Google itself, the new browser can avoid browser crash when we are editing documents or composing an email. It is of course faster and javascript also can load faster. There are more security equipped and can avoid mass browser exploit. There are architectural changes in browser that can also avoid malwares. The tab system is really dynamic (there is animation when we drag to the left and right, and when we drag outside of a tab bar , it will become a new window, and we can put it back to the tab bar). The URL box also can be a search box , so it has 2 in 1 function.

Google Chrome also included other browsers nice capability in one browser. In short, we can say Google Chrome is all nice functions of browsers in one browser, a total package. The thumbnail home-page is basically Opera's Speed Dial, and IE7 has had a thumbnail view for a couple of years. Chrome's InCognito is already in IE8 as InPrivate Browsing, and was in Safari 3 before. Omnibar is Firefox's Awesome bar, and couples more.

150-inch Panasonic television for 2009
