Mara Neimanis creates theatre in the air using trapeze and invented aerial apparatus that include floating and suspended steel sculptures. Drawing on traditions of Mask Performance, Clown, and Commedia dell’Arte, her work integrates circus arts with physical acting to create stories, text, and characters which explore the rich interplay of imagination between air and ground. Mara is a recipient of the 2011 B Grant Awards and teaches a variety of Aerial Classes for all ages in her studio at Load Of Fun, 120 North Ave at Howard. Information on up coming fall classes, video's and performances can be found on her website. http://www.in-flighttheater.com

Also, Don't Miss......

In-Flight Theater is the producer of the amazing Baltimore Alley Aerial Festival happening this year Sept 9-11. The Festival features an array amazing aerialist's in cutting edge, site specific out door performances in a magical graffiti alleyway behind Load Of Fun. Now in its 3rd year, the Baltimore Alley Aerial festival is the most poetic, courageous family festival to fly through Baltimore and not to be missed.
