I love engagement sessions! Book this month and get a free engagement session!! The Wedding Expo went extremely well and I want to thank everyone who came by to visit and say hi! Also, thank you everyone for the very kind words regarding the work and the booth! We strive during every event to make it world class and this was none short!

Back to engagement sessions…Erin and Chris have this passionate fire for each other but they won’t admit it… you can see it for sure and they are so beautiful together and make the most amazing pictures! We have this amazing opportunity to make some really stunning imagery for you to cherish for years but it doesn’t come without effort on both sides of the camera.

We are involved in the process of art, and the creation happens with passion, talent, and some unadulterated expression! It can be intimidating being in front of the camera, especially for the first time and I try to be sensitive to this so that you and your partner can relax and just focus on each other… It takes some time but the effort is well worth it as you can see from the results!

Our new Queensberry albums arrived! We have the new Press line that comes with our Studio and Style Collection and our new press albums that come with our Classic Collection. They are gorgeous! Just have a look…

This is a 12″x12″ Pacific Press book with a gorgeous japanese inspired Mayu case. It features beautiful Italian fine art paper and a handsome embossed Buckram cover!

I’ve tried to highlight the texture and detail on this paper, but it’s hard to show the weight and feel of it. You have to see for yourself!

This is the Press Album with a Pearl Buckram cover and overlay matting. I’m really impressed with the fine art feel of the paper and pages. Again, this is Italian fine art paper so the texture really comes through with the print giving us great design inspiration and latitude of tones.

We are looking forward to creating some really beautiful art books for our upcoming events and hope these albums inspire you like they’ve inspired us! Thank you Queensberry for doing such marvelous work and keeping the passion flowing!!

This post is long overdue! I want to congratulate our new Ms. Hawaii Annah Rasul and let her know how truly proud we are! Annah is a woman with a warm heart and deep concern to contribute and make a difference in her life. I couldn’t think of a more befitting crown! I had the pleasure to work with Annah last year for some promotional shots we did at Dillingham Ranch and I’d love to share a few. I have to thank Heather Heen from Delish for our make up and hair. Also, Cecilia and Joyce at the Bridal Boutique for providing the couture. Thank you so much Annah and congratulations once again!

We had the honor to shoot the wedding of Justin and Leah on Easter Sunday and it was such a warm and festive party! Leah and Justin planned a beautiful and graceful event that people flew in from all over the world to attend! The contemporary theme of the newly renovated Hilton Waikiki provided the colorful backdrop. I loved the dancing! Everyone was on the dance floor! And they were all dancers! Easley Designs did an outstanding job with the floral arrangements and Lyann from Head Arts had the make up and hair privileges. I could tell right away that Leah and Justin are people that, when they put their mind to something, it gets done! Keep that focus on fulfilling all your dreams guys! I wish you only the best with tons of serendipity and prosperity!

St. Patricks day is really a feast day to celebrate the arrival of Christianity in Ireland… Usually celebrated with an Irish meal of… well… corned beef and cabbage of course. (maybe a Guinness or 2 as well). What that has to do with Hawaii and Sean and Lourdes wedding, I have no idea!

What an incredible feast it was, spiritually and emotionally for this wonderful couple born and raised here in the islands…

I was a little concerned when I found out the wedding was on St Patricks Day because of the traditional wearing of green. We photographers like to suffer in black in the hot sun! What are we supposed to do when we have to wear green….? Make black and whites!

After getting to know Sean, I have to say that the guy has the most incredible smile, laugh and sense of humor and all around amazing attitude toward life! Check out this guys smile! You can just hear him laugh through your screen!

St Patricks’ Church would probably be most appropriate for the day and the church was beautiful! Check out the charm of the ring bearer Matt and the flower girl Kailani… A very talented young lady in her own right, as you’ll see in a bit.

I love this first look reaction! Probably the best ever! So much planning and anticipation goes into this day that the release is sometimes overwhelming when the moment finally comes….

Much better when it’s all said and done, right?

Coral Ballroom was brilliantly decorated with the help of Savoir Faire Events and Sharee and Ed from Hot Cakes…who also provided the cake.

Gregg Hammer brought it… again…

I’ve been pondering a long time for this new blog.. It’s finally here! In addition to the new look, I’ve gone ahead and published our prices for our wedding collections. We’ll only be featuring the Queensberry line of albums this season and phasing out our flush mount Graphistudio books. I’m proud to be offering Queensberry press albums this year as well as the press books which we already feature for Engagement Sessions. When I get time I’ll post a la carte items as well as portrait session pricing which I really look forward to doing more with this year. 2012 is shaping up to be a revolutionary year again for photography! We do get requests frequently to make family portraits on location and if we have time we accomodate all we can. I believe these are some of the most important moments to treasure throughout our short family time together. If you’re vacationing in Hawaii, or even if you live here, these are great momentos to share with the rest of your family and use as wall prints for you your home or office.

Prints are ordered online at your convenience and they are delivered to your home. They can also be downloaded per file. We must charge for the download for the hosting fees and the copyright release

Melissa and Alan’s wedding this weekend was an absolute dream. They are a match made in heaven… true soul mates. Melissa, like a fine director had a vision. Sometimes that vision carries quite the weight. Our photography matched perfectly with the stated elegance of the event and the beautiful couple. Strong values of family and tradition weighed heavily and I loved the color palette and all the simple fine details that Melissa and Alan had spent countless hours planning for. The church looked beautiful and we were extremely fortunate to have had the honor of shooting at the newly renovated Dillingham Ranch in Waialua. This was our first wedding at the JW Marriot and the first time we had planned a same day slideshow to present. I’ll post some gallery shots later as well, the reception was packed with talent and wonderful entertainment! I want to show the entire slideshow here because it was cut short at the reception….

I want to recognize as well the fine work from Kai-Madia for the video production, Su-V Expressions for the beautiful flower arrangements and centerpieces, and REA Designs for their creative inspirations as well.

Destination weddings are so romantic! Miharu and Bobby are such a cute couple. Coming in from Las Vegas and having a reunion of sorts with family from Japan and China at the Loulu Palm takes a lot of planning and coordination.
