It’s been awhile since I bought a dress. Lately I’ve been shopping mostly casual leggings, shirt and simple cotton dresses. I figured I deserved to have one or two nice dresses soon. And you know I derive so much pleasure surf shopping for some buying ideas. Doing this is like listening to some good music on nady ps115 speakers for me.

As for now, I’m after day dresses since I rarely go out at night anyway and I still got a couple of cocktail dresses that serves me well for ‘formal’ dinner parties. So I want something nice and feminine for day wear.

I’ve got tons of beauty products just waiting to be reviewed. You know, its one of my personal indulgences, collecting beauty and skin care products. Not much make-ups but more into skin care stuff. I don’t usually use it haha, I just like trying which works for me or not, and I must also confess to usually falling head over heels in love with their packaging. So let’s say I collect beauty product, the same way some men collect sport trophies or some folks collect stamps.

Currently, I’m ‘in love’ with Korean and Japanese skin care products. They do have some wonderfully effective, not to mention gorgeously packaged beauty products. Also, you can find some very very interesting lines or let’s say ‘flavors’ in their products. After trying them out, I have also found out that Korean and Japanese skin care products is more effective for me compared to ‘Western’ skin care products, mainly because, hello! I’m Asian.

And owing to this ‘beauty products‘ collecting hobby, I’ll be writing some beauty product reviews every now and then.

Just recently I bought a couple of VOV Facial Masks online and among the items I picked out, here’s what I tried out first coz I was so intrigued. VOV Daily Fresh Wash Off Pack – Volcanic Ash. I know some swear to the skin enhancing properties of volcanic soil/ash but I have yet to try slathering them on my face.

I love love the packaging. It’s so appealing.

The wash off mask have grayish tones and no it doesn’t smell like sulfur like I was expecting. It has a mild grass like scent and since it was mild it didn’t really bother me. It has a thick consistency but it was not soo sticky which I appreciated.

Applying it all over the face was easy enough. Then just let it stay for a couple of minutes and wash it off.

Results: my skin was noticeably dewy and softer to touch. Although the first time I applied it, I felt a teeny weeny bit of itch but no rashes or redness at all. The second time, I didn’t feel anything at all.

I liked this wash off pack and I use it a few times per month. Although truth is, I still prefer the regular mask sheets as opposed to wash off or peel off face masks.

My husband is not a very vain person, he prefers to dress simply. There are only a few things he indulges on: good quality men’s belts, ties and lately he’s been collecting cuff links. I guess its my fault for adding another thing for him to love collecting. It all started out when he lost his one and only cuff link set on a trip abroad and asked me to buy one for him.

I then did a bit of searching for cufflinks for men and found some really good quality ones online and they were also very reasonably priced. A ordered a few sets for him and he liked it. So now, he likes buying one every now and then. Or maybe I’m rubbing my shopping fever on him?

I’ve been writing on this blog for more than two years already and I have thoughtlessly added lots and lots of categories as I blogged along. And now its driving me mad. Lol. I can’t figure out now which posts goes where. Sigh. This is so typical of me but I simply cannot go on like this and I have a feeling if I don’t do something about it, by the end of this year, this blog would be resembling a trash bin. I want it to have a cohesive and fewer topics, and I’m hoping I won’t be so crazy as to add rechargeable batteries review as a new category.

So now, I’m taking on the monumental hard task of cleaning up and streamlining my category list. I’ll be picking out just some general ones and I promise to stick to it. Of course, it’ll still be mainly about girl stuff. Like Beauty, Fashion, Home Life and Diet and Fitness. And the site will be sporting a brand new ‘feminine’ theme in a short while.

Also, expect more frequent posts about beauty products reviews and beauty and skin care products on spotlight. Apparently, these are what I am currently obsessing on, so indulge me please. For now, please bear with me if the site appears all jumbled. That’s just me tweaking like mad under the hood.

Hey guys. How was your new year celebrations? Lol. I know were halfway through January 2012 already and I’m just asking. I’m always late. Sigh. Anyways, I’m having a really busy time that I couldn’t update the site more often. Mommy and wifey duties you know. They always take precedence. Lately too, we’ve have been starting to get some really hot and humid weather. Which makes me wonder how hot it will be during the summer months here in Phnom Penh?

I think we’ll be going someplace like near the southern part for cooler weather during some weekends so I’ve taken to the web to look for some sunnies! It’s essential you know when the weather is hot and the sun’s glare too much to bear. And specially for me, who always gets migraine attacks when its too hot. I think I would need some Bolle sunglasses but they do have to be stylish.

Hey, I’m not about to have the year end without sending out my warmest greetings and wishes to everyone who ever wander by this blog. I really can’t imagine how time flies but I did have a fab year and I hope everyone did too..

2011 has been a great journey for me. Not just on this blog. I discovered a lot of ‘fashion and beauty’ stuff. I learned a few things and I got addicted to beauty and skin care products. I’m still on my never ending quest to lose and inch and a couple of pounds sans the help of best weight loss pill where I got a bit of progress early quarter of the year. Then I went back to being a lazy and undisciplined dieter so I got back all the weight I lost. To top that I had to go through a really tough time last May-June when my father passed away and I binged.

Now I’m trying to do it again, slow, easy and effectively. And making the right progress. I do hope I won’t fall down the wheel again. Wish me luck and that’s practically what I really wish for this new year. To lose weight. Besides being rich, so I could shop till I drop. Hahaha.
