Gummy yummies

There is a slight obsession with gummy worms in my house, so when I found a recipe for gummies and it used vitality essential oils I had to try it. My preschooler and budding chef was thrilled. We used this recipe. I replaced chamomile tea with pineapple juice and thieves with copaiba. Next time I will try it without the honey, but they came out great! They were very easy to make with a little helper.

How is it already November 1st!?

This past Halloween was the most fun yet. My four year old is the perfect age to capture the magic of this holiday. He is also a lover of all things horror. He really wants to watch a zombie movie, but not just any zombie movie. He wants to watch a zombie movie “where they eat brains”. Sorry, child, but you can’t watch that until you’re at least 18 and you can make your own decisions.

Here is a comparison of the four year old as a baby in a pumpkin and my latest dumpling in a pumpkin. Enjoy!

Pizza time 🍕

The boy really enjoys cooking and we both love pizza, so I decided to make some pizza with him tonight. I used Trader Joe’s pre-prepped dough from the refrigerated section. I skipped the fresh basil, tomatoes and garlic in favor of Trader Joe’s refrigerated bruschetta. Sebi was so thrilled to get all floured up and roll out the dough to about 12″ diameter. We scooped on the bruschetta and sprinkled a mix of shredded sharp cheddar and finely shredded mozzarella over the tomatoes. Finishing touch was to brush the oil from the remaining bruschetta over the crust. We popped it in the oven for double the time listed on the pizza dough packaging until the cheese bubbled and the crust was golden brown. According to the toddler, “this pizza is delish!!!” With extra enthusiasm.
