Rule Change Proposals for 2013 Season

The FFCC is now accepting proposals for rule changes for the 2013 season. NOTE: This form MUST be completed by a person directly affiliated with an FFCC member unit or from an active member of the FFJA. Complete Form Here Forms are due by June 5th. The annual meeting is scheduled for June 10th at noon at the Double Tree Orlando Airport. Please see this article for more information on the meeting.

Annual Meeting

2012 General Meeting June 10 -12:00 noon Double Tree Orlando Airport 5555 Hazeltine National Drive Orlando, FL 32812 At the meeting we will: Have a question and answer forum with Ron Nankervis, the CEO of WGI Announce 2013 contest dates Review and discuss Policy and Procedure proposals Have the Election of Officers Don't miss this very important meeting. In addition to policy and procedure proposals and Board Member elections, we will have a very special guest. Mr. Ron Nankervis, CEO of WInter Guard International will be in attendance to answer concerns and questions regarding WGI. This is a great opportunity to gain insight on upcoming events and share your personal experiences with WGI. This is the first FFCC meeting Mr. Nankervis has ever attended, be sure to be a part of this exciting event. We will also present the dates for the 2013 contest calendar and announce the site for our 2013 Circuit Championships. Make your plans now for June 10.

Attention FFCC 2012 Medalist

DIRECTORS, if your team was awarded a medal at the FFCC 2012 Circuit Championships, the FFCC has a limited number of additional Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals available for purchase for support staff and administration. The medals will be available for purchase with Mrs. Jackie Price immediately prior to the start of the meeting and immediately following the meeting. If you know that you want to purchase medals, you can contact Mrs. Price at treasurer@ffcc.org and make advance arrangements. Supplies are limited and on a first come, first served basis.

Performer Reserved Seating

Reduced price seating is available for participating teams. Any day your participating team wishes to attend the FFCC Championships, wristbands are available for purchase. You may purchase up to the number of performing members plus seven additional passes. You must purchase at least five bands and be a participating team to qualify for this group discount. These passes may be purchased with a school check, credit card or cash. They must be purchased at one time at the spectator ticket desk in the lobby of the arena and the team director must be present at purchase. These wristbands are only available for days your team is not performing. Once you have purchased the wrist bands your team name will be removed from the "eligible" list. The price for these limited discount tickets is $8.00. You may use these bands to gain access to the upper deck seating only.

To All Directors, Instructors and Spectators, The Ocean Center Security team will be searching all bags being brought into the Arena this weekend. Please allow enough time in your schedule for this search. The following items will not be allowed into the arena: No Balloons No Video Cameras No Noise Makers i.e. air horns, penny jugs, cow bells, etc. No Outside Food or Drink No Alcohol or Firearms Your cooperation with the security staff is greatly appreciated.

Susan Taylor Humanitarian Award

Susan Taylor gave years of her life as our Treasurer, tabulator, confidante, friend, critic, and cheer leader, Her knowledge, forethought, and guidance were instrumental in our circuit’s formative years. She worked to establish financial guidelines and procedures that were key to our growth and stability. Her knowledge of computer systems and programming made her the problem solver. Everyone was more at ease when Susan was at a show. With all of that said, her skills did not even come close to her best attribute – her love of all of the performers in every guard. She had a smile and a kind word for everyone. It was truly a joy to watch her enjoy every performance, with a smile, applause, and on occasion tears. She was a gracious woman of incredible integrity and generosity. She was like a mom to all of us, a firm and gentle hand pushing us to success. Sadly, we lost Susan earlier this year but her influence will be with us forever. This circuit is so incredibly fortunate to have so many wonderful memories of this amazing human.
