OUTSMART final review in Santander

Time: June 6 and 7, 2013
Place: Santander, Spain The OUTSMART final review will take place in Santander this June. The project will present its results and contributions to the FI-PPP to the commission and several independent reviewers.

This will include a demonstration of the Santander cluster as well as demonstrations of the Birmingham, Berlin, Trento and Aarhus clusters, as well as all the other fantastic project results.

OUTSMART annual report 2013

OUTSMART has released its annual report 2013, which describes the vision about Smart Cities realised through the Future Internet. The five clusters have been engaged in:

Contributing to improving the infrastructure of European cities.
Developing collaborations across private and public organisations
Developing business models for public-private partnership

OUTSMART, FINSENY and FINESCE meeting

Time: 10th April, 2013, 0900-1200
Place: Telefunken Hochhaus, Berlin, Germany The workshop aims at handing over knowledge, experiences as well as stakeholders form the first phase to the second phase.

Specifically the OUTSMART project and the FINSENY project identified a number of synergies and possible collaborations in the next phases of the FI-PPP. This event will be used to explore these further.

FI-PPP event

08004 Barcelona, Spain As the phase 1 of Future Internet Public-Private Partnership is drawing to a close, we are gearing towards the initiation of it second phase, and also mobilizing stakeholders all over Europe for phase 3 preparations, this is the right moment to engage and share the overall vision, objectives and outcomes of this strategic European programme.

It is time now for European stakeholders – SMEs, developers, cities, regions, industry and end-users to engage in the phase 2 and phase 3 of the FI-PPP programme and benefit from it.

Through the results achieved in phase 1 projects shared in presentations, videos, conceptual and real and interactive demos and collaborative workshops, we will highlight the value proposition of engaging in such an ecosystem based on open interfaces to enable third party services and applications to emerge and develop into new markets enhancing the future competitiveness of Europe’s scientific and technology base on ICT.

2nd Stakeholder Group Meeting

2nd stakeholder group meeting to present solutions from OUTSMART.

Meeting attendees will get direct access to the people working on the different solutions developed in the project and see presentations of the solutions that are under development. Thematic presentations will focus on the technologies, business models and evaluation methodologies.

Each thematic presentation will be followed up with small group workshops providing guidance on using the tools for business modelling and evaluation to get an even better understanding of OUTSMART. Thus you will also have the opportunity to shape the project.

2nd OUTSMART Stakeholder Group Meeting

Objective of the Meeting
At the meeting you will get direct access to the people working on the different solutions developed in the project. Presentations will give you a broad picture of the solutions that are under development. Thematic presentations will focus on the technologies, business models and evaluation methodologies.

Each thematic presentation will be followed up with small group workshops providing guidance on using the tools for business modelling and evaluation to get an even better understanding of OUTSMART. Thus you will also have the opportunity to shape the project. Furthermore, we would like to encourage you to forward this invitation to your peers at twin cities of yours to ensure that we reach out and involve a broad range of cities.

The day before the meeting in the evening of 21st November a reception is foreseen at the banqueting suite of the City Council where the City of Birmingham will welcome the attendees.
