When I was cleaning my Fauna figure, I had to take her off her base. But when I tried to put her back afterwards, the plastic peg snapped off. Looking at how small it is, I'm kinda surprised it didn't happen earlier, but that of course doesn't matter now.

So, I already undertook 2 attempts to glue the peg back to the base using strong glue, but it failed both times. I think it is practically impossible to do it anyways, since the peg is only like 2.5 mm in diameter so even if it does stick, there's no way it will take all of Fauna's weight again.

Now I'm thinking I'll just have to make my own base for her, using a small bolt or screw to hold her up. The problem is, that I can't seem to find a bolt that fits exactly, mainly because the peg hole widens up at the bottom. So even if I get it squeezed in moderately good at the top, Fauna starts wobbling again because the bottom is wider. The fact that the peg hole is only like 4 mm deep doesn't help either: the entire weight has to be carried by a very small support.

Now, I basically see a number of options

1. Use the best fitting little bolt, affix that to a new wooden base and just accept the little wobble and try not to touch her.
   
2. Take the smallest drill I have (2 mm) and make the peg hole slightly deeper so that the bolt can fit in further, hopefully eliminating the wobble and giving her extra support as well
   
3. Find a very thin screw and (gently) force that in an fix to the new base
   
4. Use a thin and long nail and hammer that into her leg and the new base

Personally, I don't like option 1 because that way there will always be a bending moment trying to topple her over, and therefore there will be a lot of sideway force near her ankle. I fear that eventually, the PVC there will just give way and her entire foot will tear.
Obviously I'm really scared about starting to drill in her leg, because it will be very hard to go straight. I might end up coming out the side o~o
With the screws I don't know how wel the pvc will behave; will it move aside like wood or just simply break? I'm thinking the latter.
And finally I don't know how well a nail will hold her up, nor how I can hammer it in 'gently', not to mention going straight.

So if anyone has any tips on how to fix her, I'd be eternally grateful. Otherwise I don't see any way of restoring her, but I don't want to box her up forever or, *blashemy* bin her. Thanks a lot!

After attending Mr. Mamoru Hosoda's Summer Wars Q & A Session, I went out to the AFA Booth to grab a copy of the movie book and was lucky enough to get my hands on the last copy at 12.12pm. Then the lady at the booth told me to rush to booth A07 for Mr. Mamoru Hosoda's autograph session which will start at 12.15pm and only the first 15 fans will get it.

I rush there as quickly as I could and started queuing at 12.16pm. And guess what, I manage to be the 15th fan to get his autograph xD Later I got a little chat with him in person. Of course, with the help of his translator as my Japanese is still a long way to understand what Mr. Mamoru Hosoda was saying but I can understand a little though^^ I also got to take a photo with him^^ (Not showing xP)

Can't wait to watch his upcoming movie. I really hope it will be aired in Singapore >.<

Mirai is cosplayed the lovely Alodia from the Philippines which most of you should be quite familiar with. Haruka is cosplayed by Alodia's imouto. Equally lovely. ^^;

making the Z portion of the sword. adjusting the angles was a nightmare, so i ended up using glue gun to join them to the hilt as best as possible

wrapping the Z parts in paper so i can paint it over

using spray paint on a piece of mahjong paper to make the fading purple colour. i busted 2 other bottles of spary paint, some Maruba brand, which was super expensive, but they all all fail. ended up using gd'old Anchor, which is more, cheaper and actually works

adjusting position of the paper. i wrap it around the blade part since spraying directly on the foam will melt it. around this time i fixed the handle with a grey foam.

my parents were worried for the safety of the sword, so they made this scabbard for me. was pretty touched.

so my dad found another piece of some ultra hard paper-ish thing, that's very hard to cut. ..

and ended up hurting myself again. a piece of the cutter embedded into my thumbnail

and the worse part is another deep cut on my little finger. blood is dripping down pretty fast

I guess I'll just wait till the rain is settle down for a few days more I hope :(

This is probably the hardest way to pose my Figma and Nendoroid with my name card.

Why? Because every time I'm ready to take the shot, wind always blew away the cards and make me goes wacky.
I even ask my friend to sit near the figures to blocking the wind blow :D
After over than 1/2 hour, finally I can get the shot ^^;

Alter's 1/8 Mikuru Meido Version. It's a nice figure, but she doesn't fit into the pegs on the stand. Luckily, she can pretty much stand by herself.

The background comes from the Koizumi figma - but something about it bothers me...
