Thanks for adding a comment and link on my site about the unecessary detentions of LEGAL immigrants in Australia. I never thought things could be worse somewhere other than America -- well, excluding real wacko places, which America may be becoming -- but it's an eye-opener to see that these things happen in Australia too.

Andy keep working at it.

A thought. I read through the site and my initial reaction, I admit very Australian, was can I trust these guys to really donate the money. A couple of ideas that might spur things along.
* Allow for Paypal donations, get yourselves registered and validated with them as this will help build some trust.
* Look for some industry group who could give you some "certification" to gain leverage.
* Provide more About Us info on the site, let us see who you are.
* Look to establish an oversight/advisory board and get a few high profile people to help you out.
* Blog more, daily, even multiple times a day! (This is hard work)
* Get yourself interviewed either by mainstream media or on a podcast, http://thepodcastnetwork.com have a couple of environment shows, if all else fails ask Cam Reilly to interview you himself.

If you have tried all this, good work and sorry my ideas will now seem like I am preaching to the choir! :-)

I did hear recently that a proposal to build another dam in Queensland was criticised because by the time it could be completed, it would be too late! Alarming

Hope the Government's new Target 140 campaign has an impact

This water crisis is really depressing. I think here in QLD we are in the same position as you guys down in VIC, but not as many people in the drought affected areas. Our damn is down to about 16% apparently and they've already closed one other because it is too low.

We are meant to be getting lots of rainfall this week, but other than alot of clouds, there has been nothing yet!

Bring on the rain!

Congratulations for writing the first cheque. $385 is a lot of money. Imagine what it will feel like to write a cheque for thousands of dollars (it will happen).

People - get on board. This is a great opportunity to help the drought cause.

Just had a squiz at your blog about child safety - seems like a must-read for young parents.

And those SAO biscuits are pretty dry, hey?

Andy waht an excellent idea. Well done to you for the fund raising.
The Salvo's do an excellent job so am sure the money will go where it's most needed.
Did you know that SAO biscuits were named as a result of the Salvation Army Officers who distributed them to Aussie soldiers?
Australia needs more water so we can wash the SAO's down. LOL
