The Red Band trailer for S-VHS is here!

I have to say...this thing looks great! We've been hearing really good things about this sequel and we seriously cannot wait until we see it for ourselves! In the meantime, the Red Band trailer has been unleashed unto the masses earlier today. So far, I see aliens, zombies, mass suicides, more zombies, spontaneous combustions and boobies. Are you ready to back to where the monsters live? We may finally get the chance to do so!

Nightbreed is one of those films that really should have been much bigger than it ultimately was. The film lends itself perfectly to action figures, movie artwork and other merchandising memorabilia...so, it positively perplexes the mind as to why this film never really took off. The film boasts a thick and tangible amount of style, calling back to old-school horror films from the past. With nearly 100 film festival admissions to its name, Comatose has been wildly

DEVIANT SHORT FILM WEEK: The Daywalt Top 10

Rob Zombie is back with The Lords of Salem. Well...actually...I wouldn't really say "back"...like he's BACK. More like Rob Zombie has a new movie out called The Lords of Salem. Because...that's what this really is...just another movie by Rob Zombie with satanic priests jerkin' their collective prosthetic penises to the image of Sheri Moon Zombie riding a goat.

There's something to be said for excellent television. Especially in an environment filled with "reality" entertainment and melodramatic tween romancing. So, when you come across something as elegant and rousing as Hannibal...your eyes and ears are met with sweet malevolent pleasure.

Since we deal mostly in films, I'll try to be brief with this one.

I adore this kind of TV show.

WORDS FROM A DEVIANT: Gore In Horror

Today, we have a little treat for you. Zach Lorkiewicz loves horror films. He is currently in film school looking to become the next great horror film director. However, in the meantime, he enjoys writing about horror and we're lucky to host some of his thoughts here at Film Deviant. Please give Zach a warm welcome by checking out his latest piece where he talks about Gore in Horror!

The most terrifying film you will ever experience? Not really. I've seen much scarier. But, this new incarnation of one of the most beloved genre films of all time is much better than what we expected and it might very well be one of the most significant American horror films of the year. Here...let us discuss...shall we?

Oh, wait...that's right...Kim Ji-Woon's I Saw the Devil back in 2010. While Stoker doesn't pack quite the punch that Ji-Woon's masterpiece did, it is

FILM REVIEW: The Last Exorcism 2 (2013)

Once again...filmmakers try to limit the devil to a PG-13 rating. And once again...the scares are delivered in a tediously tame manner.

Before we begin our journey into weak supernatural horror, let us first recognize how smart the first The Last Exorcism was. Hah...the first The Last Exorcism. We'll explore the hilarious title for the new film in a moment. February usually sucks for horror. That's why we've been so slow this month. Usually, January starts off with the very first horror film of the year...so, that month isn't too bad. And there's also the whole Best Of and Worst of lists that keep traffic flowing nicely. Then we hit February and everything slows down to a freakin' crawl. These days...the only cool thing about February is that we

FILM REVIEW: Dark Skies (2013)

Drew Daywalt is directing a big feature! You read that correctly, DEVIANTS! He's currently putting the finishing touches on The Passengers, which should be coming out soon, however...he just signed a deal to get his original script (The Hurting Man) into theaters!

There's a documentary about New England horror that needs your help!

Not many people know this...but, I'm originally from Boston. Lived there my whole life until I picked up and moved to Chicago in search of fame and fortune. Of course I've lived in other places (including a few years in New York) but, when I sit down and think about it...there's really no place like New England. I am in love with American Mary.

To say that the Twisted Twins latest film is one of the most anticipated horror films of the past year would be an amazing understatement. I myself couldn't wait to get a hold of the film in some form. It wasn't until the recent UK release that I was happily satiated with the exploits of Mary and her surgical saws.
