Morrison broke the news of her exit early Monday on Instagram (see below), while also noting that she has agreed to return for one Season 7 episode (in the event the show is renewed). Morrison had been one of four cast members invited to renew their expiring contract, along with Lana Parrilla, Robert Carlyle and Colin O’Donoghue.

The development comes just days before Once airs its two-hour Season 6 finale, on Sunday, May 14 at 8/7c.

In a statement, series co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis said,

“The past six years of collaborating with Jennifer as Emma Swan have been truly magical. Watching her breathe life into Emma, she accomplished more than we could have dreamed possible – she gave life to a brand-new Disney Princess, filled with strength and intelligence and an incredible closet full of red leather jackets.

“We’ll miss seeing her every day, but her imprint upon Once Upon a Time is indelible. She will always be a part of the show and its heart and soul.”

With original cast members’ contracts expiring at season’s end, and with two new characters being introduced in the finale as part of a narrative “reset,” the Once creators told TVLine the end of this chapter in the series was designed to account for any exits, even those that may appear to be up in the air.

“Any changes that we have to accommodate have been accommodated,”

Kitsis said in mid-April.

“We planned this finale from the beginning of the year, so whoever stays and whoever goes… all those questions have already been dealt with. The audience does not have to fear [anything feeling] incomplete.”

In the event that Once Upon a Time earns a Season 7 — it currently ranks fifth in the demo among ABC dramas (behind Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Designated Survivor and HTGAWM), and eighth in total audience — the door is open for Morrison to reprise her role as needed, for that one promised episode.

“[J]ust because Jennifer won’t be back every week doesn’t mean we won’t see our Savior again,”

Horowitz and Kitsis said in their statement.

While talking to the Toronto Sun, writer and director James Gunn said that if Marvel did move forward on a Vol. 4, it would feature a different team. He says:

“I think the first three movies tell a single story and that story is pretty simple. I think that there could be a Guardians Vol. 4, but it would not be the same. It would not be the same group… basically the story of this group ends with Vol. 3.”
As of right now, we can only speculate as to who the new Guardians team might consist of, but Nova, Quasar, and even Adam Warlock are just a few characters that could make the cut. There are even some characters introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 like Sly Stallone’s Stakar that could play a role in the fourth film.

Gunn went on to say that he is helping Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige develop a plan for the next decade of Marvel films.

“I will be helping to plant the seeds that will lead to the next decade. I’m helping to decide what projects we’ll be pursuing outside of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3… and what the next cosmic characters we will focus on.”

The future of Marvel after Avengers: Infinity War is certainly going to be interesting.There are some films scheduled to come out after Infinity War including Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, and Avengers 4, but beyond that the future of Marvel films is largely unknown. It’s possible that it could be the end of the golden age of comic book movies as we know it. It is more likely however that the braintrust that has brought us such amazing films over the last decade will continue to deliver. Since Iron Man debuted in 2008 Marvel has had one success after another with very few exceptions.

What do you think about the future of comic book movies post Infinity Wars?

The studio hired writers Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger to draft a script for the new film. These are the writers behind films such as Sorority Row and Piranha 3D.

The production details were discovered on a listing at IATSE873, which is a site that supports a union of stage, theater, and movie employees/operators. It reveals that the film will be shot in Toronto. James Wan, Leigh Whannell, Dan Heffner, and Oren Koules are all original producers on the film, and they have all come back for this next installment.

While he didn’t specifically drop names in his rant TMZ (who have a reliable track record) have name diesel saying:

‘We’re told The Rock has butted heads with Vin during the production, in part because V.D. is a producer and has made decisions that didn’t sit well with the former wrestling champ,’ it reported last night.

The site claims sources told it that the pair had a crisis meeting on the Atlanta set on Tuesday, because tensions were running so high it was affecting production.

TMZ also reported that many Fast 8 cast members are angry at The Rock for his comments.

“When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.”

The theme of the movie has always been that Diesel as “Dominic Toretto” has always said that he doesn’t “have friends, he has family”. Anybody with family knows that sometimes you fight, sometimes you fight hard, but in the end you pull together when it counts because you’re family. Let’s hope that runs true for this Hollywood family because there is still alot of “Furious” franchise to go with Universal having not only committed to two more Fast and Furious films with Diesel, but there have also been talks about an expanded universe of prequels and spin-offs — one that could even star Johnson’s special agent Hobbs.

The identity of the actor playing Slade Wilson/Deathstroke is still a mystery for now but speculation is, and The Wrap is reporting, that this Deathstroke video is test footage from the Batman Solo movie that Affleck is directing.

The DCEU has shown that they’re willing to drop their characters into other movies to give the cinematic universe a feeling of connectedness ala Marvel (ie. The Flash and Batman in Suicide Squad). Whether Deathstroke will be making his DCEU debut by showing up in the Justice League film before taking on the Dark Knight as the main Antagonist remains to be seen.

Wilder’s nephew, Jordan Walker-Pearlman, confirmed that the stage and screen icon had died at his home in Stamford, Connecticut on Monday, August 29. Wilder had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma back in 1989. That is all the details available at this time.

In addition to landing his defining role as the title character in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Gene Wilder stared in many classic films such as Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Producers, Silver Streak, and See No Evil, Here No Evil among many of his other works.

Wilder’s legacy is perhaps best surmised by his nephew, Jordan Walker-Pearlman:

“We understand for all the emotional and physical challenges this situation presented we have been among the lucky ones — this illness-pirate, unlike in so many cases, never stole his ability to recognize those that were closest to him, nor took command of his central-gentle-life affirming core personality. The decision to wait until this time to disclose his condition wasn’t vanity, but more so that the countless young children that would smile or call out to him ‘there’s Willy Wonka,’ would not have to be then exposed to an adult referencing illness or trouble and causing delight to travel to worry, disappointment or confusion. He simply couldn’t bear the idea of one less smile in the world.”

To Gene Wilder – the often imitated, but never duplicated, thanks for the laughs, you will be missed.
