Archiving of the Old Lodestone (12/02/2013)

As previously announced, archiving of data from the old Lodestone is scheduled for the near future. As part of this process, the old Lodestone will be closed on January 6, 2014 at 12:00 a.m. (PST), after which time users will no longer be able to log in to edit or delete their data.

Data to be archived includes user-generated content such as character biographies, past blog entries, linkshell profiles, and linkshell forums. Please be advised that archived blog entries and linkshell forum posts will only be viewable—even by the original author—if their status is set to "Public" in advance.

Announcing the Starting Time of Early Access! (08/22/2013)

We are pleased to announce that Early Access for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will begin on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT)!

* Participants of Early Access are eligible to play straight into official service, which will begin on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
* Those who have either registered a pre-order code or fulfilled the requirements for Legacy status are eligible to participate in Early Access.
* The game client from Beta Test phase 4 (open beta test) can also be used as the game client for Early Access. You do not need to uninstall the Beta Test phase 4 client and install anything else.

Regarding an Issue with a Recent Windows Update : Follow Up (08/16/2013)

In regards to the Windows® Vista and Windows® XP issue that has been mentioned, if the Windows update that took place on Jul. 11, 2013 was done, we are announcing the workaround for the opening cut scene of the Windows® version not playing properly below. We please ask you to take time to read them.

For those who have the corresponding update , please follow the directions on the page above, and go through the uninstall procedure for the update.

*After uninstalling the security update, and to prevent from any security issues, please update your anti-virus software to the most recent version. Please be aware.

For the security updates that have the Windows® Vista and Windows® XP issue resolved, Microsoft is currently preparing for the release. We will notify once it has been released, so please be patient until then.
