As in, (in response to calling teabaggers “ignorant bullying blowhards“):

Those “ignorant bullying blowhards” are the same people who Founded this country. If you read Madison’s notes on the Constitution as well as the debates on Independence, the Revolutionaries didn’t get along or like each other a lot either. But they still founded this country to the values that made as the Greatest Nation the world has ever seen..as these ReFounders will do again.

It’s a noun! As in :

I, a ReFounder, will refind and reestablish the principles that, I have on good authority from some guy I saw on TV, can be found in the Constitution and which, once they have been refounded-ed, will save America from that black Kenyan guy. Amen.

Who could have predicted that the Teabaggers would start going Lord of the Flies on each other:

In Texas, a handful of thriving tea party groups severed their ties from the national Tea Party Patriots group after it ousted, then sued a founding board member who had affiliated with a rival group called the Tea Party Express.

Or Shouty Stupid People because that would be cheaper to embroider on hats and fanny packs.

The 2,074-page Senate health care bill would take 34 hours to read cover to cover — and that’s just what Sen. Tom Coburn wants done on the Senate floor.

The Oklahoma Republican has threatened to invoke parliamentary rules to force the Senate clerk (or more likely, a team of clerks) to read the massive bill before the full Senate begins formal debate on the legislation.

What’s even more interesting is that Senate Rule XIV (paragraph 2) states that every bill and joint resolution “shall receive three readings prior to its passage.”

That is, like, almost five whole days (with pee breaks included), which is fine with Tom Coburn since he has a lot of time on his hands these days not having to spend his evenings with John Ensign in the combination Confessional/Totally Kickass Foosball Room located at the C Street Spermatorium , counseling Ensign about how Jesus hates it when you covet your senior aide’s wife and then, you know, sex her up.

Also. My next door neighbor woke up at 4am recently and spent $150 buying the entire Time/Life Flower Power collection (in the Collector box!). He is going to loan it to me to load onto my iPod.

As Steve pointed out yesterday, Sarah must get a kibble every time she uses the phrase that pays: commonsense conservative [something something].

In an interview published today with her Number One fapboy, Rich Lowry, she was at it again:

She continues, “A lot of Americans are moving toward more independent but commonsense conservatism….”

“As for Lindsey, individually, I really like him,” she says. “His constituents may want to send him a message to say ‘shore it up’ and come back to some more commonsense, conservative ideals.”

New York Times columnist David Brooks has hardly been an anonymous critic. “Whatever,” laughs Palin about Brooks’s dismissal of her over the weekend as a “joke.” “I wish that guy would go back and look at my record and see my accomplishments and the commonsense, conservative principles that I applied as a city council member, a mayor, as a governor, as an oil regulator, etc….”

It will be called the Commonsense Conservative party and she will be their queen.

She already has the tiara.

Sooooo…I’m in the market for a replacement but, since I really only use it for blogging, I’m thinking about getting a netbook because of the cost. My preference would be to get a Mac but since they don’t really make a netbook, I’ll have to grudgingly find something Windows based. I’ve been looking at a Toshiba Mini NB205, but I am open to suggestions, advice, risque bon mots, whatever. My biggest question is whether netbooks can handle applications such as Photoshop or are they internets only.

It would just be nice to be able to blog from somewhere else in the house besides my desk allowing me to bask in the presence of mrs TBogg’s beauty while calling people assholes and such and such.

I’m such a romantic.

Predictably, Palin complained that Newsweek’s use of the image was sexist. Yes, the image was plucked from its original context. The whole point was that the picture was appalling it its original context. Newsweek is holding this picture up to the world and asking: Who does this?
The bottom line is that Palin’s a clown. She doesn’t get a pass because her chosen clown persona is stereotypically feminine.

She caricatures herself. Day in and day out. Good for Newsweek for pointing and laughing.

Back when the original Runner’s World photos came out the one thing I noticed was the dearth of pictures of Sarah Palin actually running. For someone who spent the RW interview extolling the virtues of running

I feel so crappy if I go more than a few days without running. I have to run. No matter how rotten I feel before or during a run, it’s always worth it to me afterwards. Sweat is my sanity. A great frustration I had during the campaign was when the McCain staff wouldn’t carve out time for me to go for a run. The days never went as well if I couldn’t get out there and sweat.

…there is a distinct lack of action photography. No sweat. No blotchy skin.  No visual evidence of a endorphin epiphany. What there is, besides the all-important reminder that she is the mother of BABY TRIG, GOD’S VERY OWN SPECIAL ANGEL YES HE IS – YES HE IS!, is a series of modelish poses of the type you might find accompanying a “Run for Your Life!” article in Marie Claire. Don’t believe me? Try this. Or this. Or this.

The photo on the Newsweek cover is instructive. Bare legs with no warm-up pants (sexy!). Shot in her office (executive!). American flag (patriotic!). Blackberry in hand (connected!). Blue Star flag (patriotic again!). Normally upswept hair now down and pulled forward, looking  suspiciously  like girlish pigtails ( young! vital!).  The point being that  Sarah Palin can’t control her inner beauty pageant contestant.

Let’s flip it back to Lindsay:

Newsweek’s question is why she’s bad for the GOP. The answer is that she’s dragging down her party because it’s impossible for adults to take her seriously. Not because she’s beautiful or maternal or fit, but rather because she has no decorum, no dignity, and no common sense. I mean look at her, she’s working the goofy MILF persona like that’s a perfectly normal thing for a governor with presidential aspirations to be doing.

If Sarah Palin wants to be accepted as a Very Serious Person with Very Serious Positions, she needs to have the good judgment to not  turn into Suzy Cheesecake every time a camera is around.
