I read this post with interest - mostly because while SEO has been given the 'dodgy salesman' title, social media is the place where a few real 'dodgy salesmen' are appearing with increasing regularity and largely for the same reasons.
I don't think SEO is all about that at all and unfortunately, like social media and the influx of so called 'experts' cropping up giving genuine providers a bad name, you have suffered with the same problem. Pollutants in SEO and now sadly the same in social media.

I think the problem is that some folks are willing to work for very little, provide a bad service as a result and then end up ruining it for the genuine providers.

Hi Allan,

Not sure if this is a viable option for you, but I started using javascript to embed videos when IE7 had the click to activate bug. I still use it so that if someone really wants to see a video I can also start tracking him using js based analytics.

It also make my life so much easier to add new videos (not only youtube ones) on the blog, and it validates too

Here's the code to place in your external js file:

Now to call videos on any blog post you can just use the following code :
Javascript required to watch the video.writeFlash('videoId',480,295);

Replace videoId with the a unique ID and you're off (it matches video1 and video2 from the js file.

The only way I can read your comment is to copy and paste... serious CSS screwage going on mate!

I used to work as an IT/network/server bod... setting up RPC over HTTPS so people can just use Outlook when they are travelling without using VPN, etc was a BITCH to set up, but worked, eventually. Only, however, due to the fact that OWA is a much nicer interface nowadays, and allows other applications (not just browsers) to connect through it. WebAccess has become the API for exchange in a way, if you ask me!

Thanks Andy, thanks two good articles there. Microsoft Exchange must be a propriatory protocol. Exchange has IMAP I think. Bloods Microsoft, I have a love hate relationship with them. Love most of their software, hate the licences and propritery nature of the software. Hate the compiled binaries

It seems Android is still having issues, there are a few work arounds out there. Both Android and iPhone use the OWA side of the server to access email, rather than a direct connection to the exchange server itself.
