You have to supply your body with nutrients from foods that will build muscle.</p>
<p>So what is involved in building a diet that will compliment your workout strategy? There are four main areas to focus on.</p>
<p>1. Total Calories. You should be aware of the total calories you are consuming everyday and where those calories are coming from. Don&#8217;t assume you know. Start keeping a journal of everything that you eat with a breakdown of the macronutrient content. This is the best way to determine exactly what your total calorie content is. You have to take in enough calories throughout your day to supply your body with a continuous amount of nutrients.</p>
<p>2. </p>
<p>Adequate Protein. Lean protein is the way to go. Lean sources of protein can be found in chicken and eggs. This is a must if you want to build quality, lean muscle. An adequate source of protein will help your body repair itself after a hard workout.</p>
<p>3. Carbohydrates. Carbs are the best source of fuel or energy for your body. If you cut your carbs significantly and for a prolonger period of time you will find yourself lacking energy and your workouts will suffer as a result. You need to supply your body with carbohydrates, specifically complex carbs to keep your body&#8217;s energy stores up. Good sources of complex carbs are oatmeal and wheat based products.</p>
<p>4. Drink plenty of water. This may sound too basic but it is an aspect of any muscle building diet plan that is grossly overlooked. </p>
<p>You should be consuming 1 ounce of water for every pound of bodyweight you have. So if you weigh 200lbs. you should be drinking 200 ounces of water everyday. Just about everything in your body needs water to function &#8211; so make sure you are drinking your fair share.</p>
<p>It is as important to spend as much time planning your diet as it is planning your workouts. A solid diet plan that will compliment your workouts will include knowing your total caloric intake per day, consuming an adequate amount of lean protein and complex carbohydrates in addition to drinking plenty of water.</p>

<p>How do you know if you can trust a nutrition study? So what can you do to protect yourself? You can protect yourself by applying common sense questions to any nutritional study that you read or hear about.</p>
<p>The first question you want to ask is if there are enough people in this study? If a researcher says that only a couple people have been studied, that is simply not enough. The study needs to include a variety of individuals and scientific numbers to be trustworthy. How many people should be included in a study? Several hundred to several thousand as there is always a possibility that an effect occurred by chance.</p>
<p>The next question you want to ask is if there is anything in the design or method of this study that could likely affect the outcome? There are testing methods and procedures that are more likely to lead to inaccurate or biased conclusions. </p>
<p>For instance, a prospective study is always more accurate than a retrospective study. That is because people tend to forget details over time and will answer a researcher&#8217;s questions wrong.</p>
<p>Finally, you should question the study&#8217;s conclusion and ask if it is reasonable? If a study produces a conclusion that you strongly feel is illogical than it most likely is. For instance, a study in the 90s showed that a high fat diet increased the risk of colon cancer. But what really happened is that the data only showed diets high in beef. There was no link to a diet say high in dairy fat. In short, you should always take a second look at a study to confirm or deny its results.</p>

Imagine waking up in the morning, you will need to prepare the breakfast and lunch altogether. And you only have like 30 to 40 minutes at most. When the children are awake, you need to make sure they brush their teeth, dress up and take their breakfast before they go to school. </p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Since we are in a rush, maybe the instant food can replace a proper meal? In our daily life now, instant food or processed foods have become a norm or necessity. But in fact the processed food hardly contains all nutrients that you need as the natural food. There are so much additional chemical to make the flavor of the food rather than using the natural ingredients for lower cost. Take an example, fruit juice in the market are made of chemical, coloring and artificial sweetener and maybe a little bit of genuine fruit juice. How much nutrients can we expect from such combination? A glass of home made fresh squeeze orange juice is definitely better than a bottled orange juice.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">So, how to squeeze in the time for cooking in our busy schedule? Here are some tips.</p>
<p>Sauce for spaghetti can be prepared during the weekend and keep in the fridge for about a week. When you need it, just cook the spaghetti and heat up the sauce, simple and easy.  <br />
Use chicken breast meat to replace hot dogs and processed meats. If you like to bake, marinate it the night before or whenever you are free and keep it in the fridge. When you need it, just take it out, defrost and bake.<br />
Homemade meatball can be prepared during the weekend and keep in fridge for later. We can add in vegetables like cabbage or carrots in it.<br />
Vegetable like tomato, capsicum can be wash and keep. Once you need it, just take out and cut.<br />
If you do not have time to wash or soak the vegetables, buy organic or plant your own.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Cooking your own meal can be easy and fast. If the ingredients are prepared during the weekend and kept in fridge, cooking won’t take up much time.
