I’m Thinking is a brand new episode that I just started on my site that is going to deal with various issues that is on my mind, thus, the name I’m Thinking.

In this first episode, I cover three specific subjects that are on my mind at the moment. The first is automatic customer service. I cannot stand this feature that all of the large companies are going to. I understand that it reduces their over all cost of to manage and provide customer service, but at the expense of the customers buying experience? Not sure the benefits are going to add up in the long run because I know people like me are fed up with that crap.

The second issue that I deal with are the bailouts and GM bankruptcy. This garbage has gone on too long bailing out companies that have had 80+ years of pure profit that are all of a sudden broke. I don’t buy it. The truth is that they don’t want to put those profits back in the game and are forcing us, the tax payers, to foot the bill. This madness has to stop.

Finally, I cover gay marriage and the nonsense of an issue that it is. We have people arguing, fighting, wasting time and tax payer money over something that is frankly none of their business. If two grown ass men want to get married, then let them. That has no effect on the marriage of my wife and I. As for the bible argument that marriage is between a man and a woman, the bible also says thou shall not kill and the military has no problem with that, nor does the people that support their efforts all over the world even though it is proven that thousands of innocent people die everyday as a result.

Get it together people and let’s have a conversation.

Welcome to the very first episode of 3B TV. It stands for Business, Branding, and Blogging with Freddie Taylor. I am very excited to introduce this segment of my site to you. I have been working on it for some time now and feel like it should add an interesting element to my line up.

Yes! I said it, property values will remain stagnant for the next 35 years or more. I know this is contradictory to everything you have been hearing in the news and according to the experts, but take a moment to watch the video and hear my argument.

The best part of the argument is that I will lay it out for you step by step so that there will not be any guessing. All of my sources can be referenced, but they are based on my understanding of supply and demand.

I don’t doubt that many people might not like to hear this opinion or see it come true, but I feel it is very important because if you move forward making financial decisions based on wrong information it can be very dangerous to your financial well being.

Welcome to my show, BALANCE, get some in yo life!

In today’s society, we often times play the victim in our lives and wonder why things are going differently than we desire. But today, I want you to realize that you are the master of  your fate and hold the keys to create what you want. You can be a wolf or a sheep.

You have a choice.

The Sheep:

Sheep are employees. Employees that are waiting around for someone to give them a better job, give them a chance, give them an opportunity, give them a stimulus check. Please understand there is nothing wrong with being an employee, but just realize that you don’t control your future that way. You will always be at the hands or mercy of the wolf.

The Wolf:

The wolf is the entrepreneur. The person that is willing to invest in themselves, take calculated risk, and create the environment they desire to produce the outcome they want. The wolf is in control of their future and dominates the sheep.

Dominate might be a strong term, but they manage the fear of the sheep and leverage their time, talents, techniques in order to create the empire the wolf desires. Understand, the sheep just want a cozy, comforting, environment that leads to a paycheck. And the wolf nurtures this environment and fear to give them just what they want to create what the wolf really desires.

Granted, everyone in life is not cut out to be a wolf, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t right for you. Only you can make that choice.

Tough Economic Times

I realize these tough economic times can cause some hesitation, even frustration, but realize that it is these times historically that most millionaires have been made. Do you have what it takes to be the next millionaire…or billionaire?

I don’t know, but there is one thing that I can promise. If you don’t get off the sidelines and allow the wolf inside you to run wild, you will never know if you have what it takes.

Take this time to ask yourself the question….Are you a wolf or a sheep?

Another week has come and gone. This time it has found me ready for it and aiming for the stars. I am fired up. As you will see over the next few weeks I have some very special material planned for this blog and am very excited about it.

It dawned on my not long ago that I wanted to own a media empire and have the influence and reach that many of the power stations had. This realization made me began to look at this blog and my other ones a little bit differently. Blogs and the Internet has given ordinary people like myself without hundreds of billions of dollars the power and access to reach millions if we have the ability or chops to make it happen. Well, I am going to find out because I love to get in front of the camera and share what I know. The wild thing is that I know many other people that feel the same, so as little organization and effort can make all of this a reality.

Last Week Goals

1. Video Blog at FreddieTaylor.com - I was successful in getting back on the video wagon here at FreddieTaylor.com with the launch of my weekly series, Balance. That was a lot of fun and it is replacing my Monday Motivational Moments that was a feature on this site.

The reason I changed the name is because I wanted to motivate, but there are some other subjects I want to get into as well and Balance will allow me to do so. As entrepreneurs, we cannot be so one sided and focused on money and the bottom line, there is just way too much more to life than that. Balance is my effort to discuss many of these issues as well.

2. Study New Business - I was able to study my new business model and am very excited about it. There is a little bit more understanding to go, but I will have to learn that on the fly. Now is the time to get out and get it going, so I will.

3. Prepare for my Picking Comps presentation - This past weekend, my partners and I held a 3 day event called the Ultimate Foreclosure Workshop. You can view it at UltimateForeclosureWorkshop.com. It was a stunning success. We had 17 paid participants, so there was some margin made and most importantly, the participants were excited about the information they received and pleased with their purchase. In short, we delivered, which is what you want when you are taking people’s money. Our thought is to under promise and over deliver….that we did.

As for my presentation, I thought it could have went better, but not a bad job. Like most entrepreneurs, I am pretty critical of myself and always expect better. Next presentation, I will do better.

This Week

Now is the time to roar into the next week and get it crackin! Here are my major goals for the week.

1. Plan - It is official in my mind that this is my last year in the appraisal business. I have to cut the cord and get out now. The question is what exactly will I do in the future, so I want to lay out a detailed plan to ensure that I am making solid progress everyday. This may take a week or so as I have several projects in the works, but need to tie them together in a cohesive way to capitalize on their synergies.

2. Complete Landing Page - One of my new ventures requires that I complete a video for this landing page I am creating. This has to get done and the sooner the better. So, I will be all over that early in the week and hopefully able to make it happen.

3. Full Week @ FT.com - I want to follow up my last week with another solid week here on this site. You will see a few more post as I back away from appraisal business and get more into my online work. I am very excited, but like any transition there is always some anxiety…However, I am ready to strike!

Let’s go get’em!

Now is our time to shine. I have defined my week and plan on being all over it. Will you do the same? If you don’t make the goals public, that is cool. Write them on your board, look at them, intimidate them, and get them done!

That’s right! I am back into video blogging and planning on doing it big. It is my honor to introduce to you the first of my recent brain child’s, Balance. Balance, get some in your life, is a show I will be doing that focuses on motivation, inspiration, quotes, and personal development for entrepreneurs and bloggers. We all need and must have balance.

Ready to Strike!

These economic times are raining down around us and many people are scared because they cannot predict the future. I feel and understand where they are coming from, but entrepreneurs must stay in the pocket, poised and ready to strike. It is these times that the world needs entrepreneurs to step up, so I want to share three keys with you to help you in this journey.

Yes! It has been a while since I have actually done a blog post and it feels good to be back. The other week, I went on vacation to Tampa Bay, Florida for days of rest, relaxation, and great times.

The picture feature here is the view I woke up to every morning as I ventured out on the terrace to clear my head from the night before and get ready for the day ahead.

The reason this post took so long in the making is that I was waiting on the pictures from my friends that went on the trip with me. I had my camera, but managed to take no pictures during the trip, buy my friends did and they haven’t made the pictures available yet.

The House

I will try to give you a visual of the house, rather mansion, we rented for the trip. It was larger than most anything that I have seen. And as an appraiser, I have seen some wonderful homes, but this one was incredible. It rocks my world to think that people live like this everyday, but they do. Anyway, my favorite feature of this home was the double deck terrace that wrapped the sides and back of the home which led to the views in the picture. It was simply amazing. And every morning I began my day there on that terrace enjoying the sunshine, breeze, and happy feelings.

That break was much deserved and I had a wonderful time, but I am really excited to be back in the Command Center ready to build my Internet empire. Are you ready?

My Plans

While I was on vacation and during the past week, I have been pouring over my plans for the immediate future and they are exciting. I am so fired up to get into this week it doesn’t make sense. I have decided that I am going to build FreddieTaylor.com into the media outlet I have desired for so long. While on vacation, I realized that they Internet and the skills that I have been developing for the past few months have really given me all that I need to make my dreams a reality and now is the time to start creating them.

Therefore, you will see a few new features coming to FreddieTaylor.com starting this week. I don’t want to bore you with the details, but rather just jump in a get them started. This post was actually suppose to happen on Sunday, but we had a dinner party that ran a little longer than antipated and I had to too much wine. (Just keeping it real and telling you the truth, Blog Family.)

Anyway, it is on! Also, I have decided to be accountable for a few more goals on a weekly basis. I find that you keep me honest and if I share them with you, I will get them done more-so on a regular basis.

This Weeks Goals:

I mentioned above my aspirations for FreddieTaylor.com, so this is the plan….to get started. Getting started consist of two more post this week. And I will leave it there. ((((clap clap)))) Let’s go get’em!

2. Study new business

I started a new business that helps small businesses reconnect with their communities. It is phenomenal and I will be talking about it soon, but I need to study the business to be able to present it concisely. The fact is right now I don’t fully understanding the business. This week it needs to change. Then I will review it for you.

3. Prepare Training on Picking Comps

I am part of af team of people that are producing The Ultimate Foreclosure Workshop and of my contributions is a presentation on How appraisers Pick Comps, which should be about an hour. I need to prepare and practice that presentation.

Greetings Blog Family,

Yes! I am finally getting around to being accountable for my actions of the last week. First off, I hope everything is good with you and yours. Let’s be sure to get into a profitable week ahead.

Why is the accountability report late?

That is a fair question and I will give you the truth. I was tired on Sunday. I know that sounds weak, but it is just the truth. I stayed up late with some friends and family on Saturday, lost an hour on the time adjustment, and sat at my son’s black belt test all day on Sunday. Yes, my big 9 year old is officially a black belt in Tae Kwon Doe. 

He is the man, but that testing was all day long. Geeze! By the time we got home, the wife and I took a long nap, fed the little ones, played with them a little, and it was time for bed. Thus, I didn’t get my post up in time, so that is why I am here on Monday getting this done.

Last Week

Ok, last weeks goal was to write 50 articles and I completely sucked it up. Yes, I did not write 50 articles. In fact, I only completed 12 articles last week. And I know what your thinking, geeze Freddie, that really sucks. Well, maybe, but I still added 12 articles to my niche collection of sites and articles and am moving forward. The goal, however, was not met.

So, what happened?

To be honest, towards the early middle of the week I realized that I didn’t really want to write 50 articles, I wanted to work on another opportunity that came into my life over the weekend. At first glance, it didn’t look as juicy as it does now, so I didn’t work that into my plans, but as the week went on and I got to understand this opportunity I became overly excited about it and turned my focus there.

What is this opportunity?

Can’t tell you yet. I know, I am such a tease, right? It’s all good because I plan on doing a post/review about this so you can not only see it, but maybe even considered getting involved. Let me just say that I have never seen anything like this and think this is going to be huge as I got on the bandwagon quick. Look for a post on Tuesday or Wednesday about it.

This Week’s Goal: RELAXATION!

That is right. Relaxation is my goal. Why? Because I am going to Tampa, Florida on Thursday and will not return until Sunday. So, as you can imagine, my focus is already shot for the week as the vacation is here. This is going to be an awesome time. A group of 16 of my friends and I are headed to Tampa to enjoy our 10 year anniversary of being in our Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Yes, for those of you that didn’t know, I am a frat boy. It is going to be an awesome time as I have not had a chance to hang out with all of my friends in a long time. Much deserved and much anticipated vacation.

So that is it for this week. It is important to remember to enjoy yourself from time to time. After all, if you don’t enjoy yourself, what is the point of working so hard. You have to take time to smell the roses and live life. That is my plan for the week.

It has been a little while since I have done the Quote of the Week around here at FreddieTaylor.com and I feel it is time to bring it back. I was going to do a video on this, but really need to shave and don’t want to get that done right now, so I figured I would type you out a quick message.

The Quote of the Week

Do it trembling if you must, but do it !   - Unknown

My Reaction

When I hear this quote it just moves something deep inside of me because I know how true of a statement it is. We all have this deep desire to succeed, accomplish, and maximize the potential that lies with in us, but there is something that holds us back. That something is deep rooted in a our childhoods, relationships, friendships, phobias, misconceptions, and more. 

What am I talking about? Fear! It’s ok to admit that you are fearful of somethings. You are amongst friends here. We are all trying to get these demons out of us, on the table, deal with them, and move on. But there is something in us that holds us back from doing the things that we know are necessary to succeed and achieve all that we desire. I call this thing that holds us back, fear.

The quote says that if you must tremble while doing the thing you must, then do it! You might need to make some sales calls, but you hate to cold call people in your business. Tremble as you dial that phone number. Tremble as you ask to speak with the Procurement Manager. Tremble while you make your pitch or request for a face to face meeting, but make the call and ask for the meeting. You never know, the person on the other end of the phone might remember when they first started out in the business and was nervous as all get out to make cold calls, relate to you, and comply with your request. How would you ever know this to be the case if you didn’t try at all? That’s right, you wouldn’t.

I can promise you this. If you are able to make that call, go to that meeting, or meet head on whatever you fear as to be while trembling, you won’t tremble for long. After a while, you will get used to the feeling, the task, the deed, and complete it without fear. In fact, after you have some success doing this thing, you will gain confidence and do it with pride and honor knowing that you overcame something big to you in order to make it happen. This will become a stepping stone that you use to climb over and through your next challenges. Soon, you will have so many of them that everytime you feel that fear creeping up inside of you you will beat it down with ACTION!

Just understand that the thing that is holding you back in your profession, business, dream is you. No one else can hold you back if you don’t allow them. You cannot be a hostage to your fear if you don’t allow yourself to be. It is up to you to make it happen, so if you have to shake and tremble while doing the thing, then by all means do it. We don’t have time any more to stand around and pontificate about how things might be, could be, or should be. We only have time for action. So if you have shake and rattle, just be sure to roll and get it done.

Tremble if you must, but get it done!
