Many of our most memorable experiences come from this carefree moment in our lives. And as each student prepare for this time of their lives, they also discover the joy of meeting the opposite sex. Teenage boys for one will do most anything to create a good impression and one of them is having a well chiseled body. This is when most teenage boys would think about working out and lifting weights.</p>
<p>Remember your own teenage years? Do you continually compare muscle gain with some of your friends? It was that then and it is still that way now. In fact, it is more prevalent today as more teenage boys are becoming more conscious of their bodies. There is simply no denying it; gaining muscle is the in thing.</p>
<p>As a parent, it is wise to support this mentality, not only will your teenage son be able have a healthier body, they will also develop self confidence. The problem is, some boys would go take the easier route. They would take steroids or whatever to help facilitate the fastest way in gaining muscle; this will not help them at all, especially in the determination and motivation department. As a parent it is their duty to show them the proper way to grow muscles.</p>
<p>The best way to gain muscles would always be the tried and tested means, the proper diet and a rigorous and painstaking weight lifting workout regimen. A proper diet will be determined if your son is overweight or underweight. In the first scenario, your kid should lose weight first and eliminate body fat. Muscle building will follow suit after at least a significant weight loss is experienced.</p>
<p>This diet would mean eliminating fats and calories; just enough should remain for fueling muscle growth. In the latter, it is the opposite, a skinny kid should eat more but should have the proper intake so that body fat is not created, rigorous strength training should be done simultaneously to build up bulk, mostly of muscles.</p>
<p>It is not advisable to immediately push a teenage boy into a full intense workout as their body is still developing. They should be gradually introduced in the program to allow their body to adjust. Make sure also that they have sufficient rest as teenage boys are a bundle of energy. Redirecting this energy in a well planned workout program will allow them to maximize the use of their energy.</p>
<p>Most importantly though it is the attitude that should be set first before embarking on a gaining muscle journey. Teenage boys are easily distracted and they can easily forget that they are working on a goal. They must be determined to finish what they will be starting. With full commitment, they will be able to achieve success in gaining muscle in no time at all.</p>
<p>These are just some of the things one must consider when starting a program of gaining muscle. There are lots more, but most importantly, it is all about discipline. Having a healthy and great looking body works wonders to a person, especially to a teenage boy. There is nothing quite like the present to start on this fruitful journey. So there you go.</p>

A lesser segment of these women train intensively, seeking to progress performance. For the majority healthy women with a simple pregnancy who keep in a moderate level of physical activity, health can be maintained throughout pregnancy and in the postpartum period. Women who have reached cardiovascular fitness prior to pregnancy must be able to safely maintain that level through pregnancy. The aim of exercise must be to keep a sense of happiness and fitness, not to curb weight gain or competitively train. Those women who are involved in maintaining performance need closer follow-up with their healthcare providers.</p>
<p>Safety measures:<br />
The physiologic and emotionless changes of pregnancy will reduce the individual workload and maximum exercise performance .A woman should not seek to boost her level of fitness or start a new, exact exercise program when pregnant. Women can carry on in most programs that were started previous to pregnancy. As when not pregnant, pay attention to the body. It will tell when enough is enough. A woman can persist in either weight bearing or non-weight-bearing aerobics. Non-weight-bearing training will diminish the risk of injury and may promise the persistence of exercise during pregnancy. Studies have exposed that women who contribute in non-weight-bearing exercise were extra likely to carry on with the similar level of approval during their pregnancy as compared to weight-bearing exercisers.</p>
<p>Precautions for pregnant woman when exercising:<br />
1. There are many complications of pregnancy that benefit from a sitting lifestyle and a woman should ask her doctor to make sure work out is safe for her. Some of those complications are like</p>
<p>2. Ruptured membranes mean water breaking.</p>
<p>3. Premature labor means going into labor earlier than anticipated.</p>
<p>4. Incompetent cervix begins to dilate very early in pregnancy without any contractions. Unexplained bleeding</p>
<p>5. Placenta previa is attached low on the uterine wall near the internal. The placenta can start to drag away from the wall of the uterus and cause unexplained and painless, bleeding-usually in the third trimester.</p>
<p>6. Multiple pregnancy like expecting twins or more.</p>

Reactions against the sedentary lifestyles Americans have lived for decades, a rash of type two diabetes with people engaging in fitness and exercise to improve their conditions, parents encouraging youngsters to get up and away from the television and work out, and the baby boomers, pursuing fitness and exercise as they age, to allow them to enjoy their advanced years. Regardless of the reasons, many Americans take fitness and exercise very seriously.</p>
<p>Ways, in which Americans engage in fitness and exercise activities are varied and show the diversity of both the population and their interests. Many people go to gyms or athletic clubs. Others participate in sports events that they enjoy. Fitness and exercise activities can include bowling, racquet sports like squash, golf, summer softball leagues, horseshoes, hiking, horseback riding, and many other fun things to do. Fitness and exercise activities in American have many faces.</p>
<p>One of the most popular fitness and exercise activities is simply walking. Many people of all ages enjoy taking a brisk walk every day. This simple fitness and exercise activity can be done by almost anyone. So many Americans are walking these days that magazines are published devoted to the activity. Generally Americans are not as organized as their European cousins when in comes to walking. In Germany, one of the most popular weekend fitness and exercise activities is the volksmarch, or people&#039;s march. When a volksmarch occurs, people of all ages gather together to take a day long, or half day long walk through a town or a country location, stopping to share a meal along the way. They combine fitness and exercise with social activity, and everyone has a great time.</p>
<p>Americans may not be ready for the volksmarch yet, but they find many other fitness and exercise options to their liking. Golf is more popular now than any time in history. Tennis is making a popularity comeback. Even martial arts are fitness and exercise choices for many. For Americans the important thing about fitness and exercise is to do something and make sure that the something you do is something you enjoy. Fitness and exercise will lead to a longer and healthier life, and give a great deal of fun to the participants along the way. </p>

Most people go on strict diets when developing their body. A lot of us dream of having a healthy and great looking body. Some spend countless hours in the gym, and spend thousands of dollars on equipment just to gain muscles. Some people even have medicine cabinets lined up and filled to the brim with gain muscle medications and supplements. The fact is, a lot of these people find the process too tedious and too slow.</p>
<p>Going back to eating more for gaining muscle, this may sound incredulous to some as popular notion would have people cutting back on their food intake so that body fat will be diminished allowing muscles to be more pronounced. As there are more body fat covering the muscles, they are not able to fully expose all the cuts and lines that give the body muscle definition.</p>
<p>But we have to remember that as we cut off our calorie intake, you are not giving your muscles the proper nutrition it needs to help make them grow bigger. What you need to do is to increase your calorie intake if you want to gain weight, but this pertains to gaining weight because of muscle development, and not body fat. Ingest proteins and fats to provide your body all the calories it requires to gain muscle but be wary in ingesting too much calories because then the result would be the development of body fat.</p>
<p>This is where having a good workout routine comes in. As you do your regular workout, targeting the muscles which you want to develop, you will be able to burn all the calories you have ingested allowing it to go to your muscles to help them develop, and at the same time, avoid them into turning into body fat.</p>
<p>For faster muscle gain and growth, do workouts that include heavy weights. Be very patient and persistent. Some people tend to give up as frequent lifting of heavy weights can literally be a pain. If you are not accustomed to lifting weights, then it&#039;s highly likely that you will feel soreness in your muscles. This is natural; in fact, this is one way your body is telling you that your muscles are growing, think of it as growing pains.</p>
<p>Weight lifting will promote muscle gain and as you eat more, the increased caloric intake will supply the boost your body will need to promote the growth of muscle tissues. When building muscle tissues, you will also be gaining strength. If you diet too much and not have the proper food intake while weight lifting, you will just lose muscle instead of your goal of building them. Doing free weight exercises in addition to lifting heavy weights will help in gaining muscle faster. Your body will be able to quickly respond in its process of building muscle.</p>
<p>So how much is eating more and yet not gaining body fat? That all depends on you, your body structure will determine this. A nutritionist will be able to determine how much calorie intake you will need in gaining muscle.</p>
<p>With a steady food intake specially developed for you and a proper workout, you will soon be able to develop the body you have always wanted and also gain the self confidence and pride that will make you feel a whole lot better about yourself.</p>

<p>The neck is a very delicate part of the body. It joins the rest of the body with the head. Like all the other body parts the neck if not exercised properly can lead to numerous problems. Some of the most common neck problems like neck pain and stiffness. Most of the times neck pain may fell like a kink that may spread to the shoulders, upper back, arms. Very often neck pain can also induce headache. Such a type of hazard can limit the movement of the neck and usually more to one side than on the other side. Typically neck problems are often caused by strain or spasm of the neck muscle or by inflammation of the neck joints. For example holding the head in a forward position while watching television is found to be one of the main causes of neck pain. Since the neck includes the bones and the joints of the cervical spine it is very essential to take proper care and precaution of the neck. This can only be possible by following proper care regime. Another best way to do this is to exercise the neck properly.</p>
<p>Types of neck exercises:</p>
<p>If done properly neck exercises can lengthen and stretch the neck muscles and helps in releasing the tightness due to poor posture. The first and foremost thing to remember is to keep the neck in a proper posture that is comfortable. There are numerous methods for exercising the neck. This can be done at home even while watching TV. Also prolonged keeping of the neck in the same position while watching television, is not at all good for the health. Thus light exercises can really be helpful while watching television.</p>
<p>How to exercise the neck:</p>
<p>One can position the shoulders relaxed and the chin towards the chest and then turning the chin to the right shoulder as far as is comfortable. This exercise is very effective. However it should be noted so as not to compress the back of the neck. One can feel the stretch on the opposite side. It is especially helpful in increasing the elasticity of the neck as well to relieve the stiffness.</p>

Being fit not only improves the health but helps to make body supple, lean and attractive. It is important to couple a fitness program with a balanced nutritional program to make the body best it can be.</p>
<p>If someone likes to working out at the gym, modern equipment and techniques are great. If someone finds a good gym, one can anticipate computerized machines, air conditioning and a gym instructor eager to draw a program up after ascertaining the fitness goals. Do you crave to have the Hollywood hunk abs and biceps? Most of us do, but the entire process of getting muscles is simply strenuous. Hollywood actors have all the time in the world to bulk up and have an army of trainers and experts to help them, and this could cost an arm and a leg. But even with those aspects gaining muscle is not going to happen if there is no determination.</p>
<p>For one thing, it&#039;s undeniably extremely hard to gain muscles; there is no doubt about it. You have to invest a lot of time and patience. You must have full commitment to meet your goal. But aside from just going under a rigorous training program, there are certainly numerous aspects one must consider. All of these aspects together can help make a program effective and let you achieve your goal at the fastest time possible.</p>
<p>Here are the three essential steps in those aspects which can greatly determine the success a person will have in gaining muscles.</p>
<p>A) Have the proper diet - A lot of people misconstrue the word &#034;diet.&#034; A lot of them think that diet equates to starving one&#039;s self. A diet means that a person, depending on his goal, has the proper and correct food intake. If you are thinking of gaining muscle and weight, then eating more calories than what you would be expecting to burn when you have an extensive workout would be necessary to fuel the growth of muscles. You will need to have a balanced intake of protein, soy and fats. A nutritionist or dietician will be able to help you know what is good for you.</p>
<p>B) Develop a strength training program - Muscles are built when they are regularly pushed to the limit. Perpetual couch potatoes don&#039;t build muscles, they grow guts. You must develop a strength training program which would make you lift weights that you won&#039;t be able to easily lift. This should go on until you progress to heavier weights. Your muscle will react to the heavy lifting and will grow to compensate for the needed strength to lift the heavy weights. As you move on to heavier weights, the muscle will continually grow for strength compensation.</p>
<p>C) Have sufficient rest - Contrary to popular belief, your muscles don&#039;t grow while your lifting weights, they grow when they are resting. As you work out, your muscles are strained and flexed to their limit, especially if you lift the proper weights. When you go to sleep, the damage done to the muscles will be repaired and this is when they grow. 8 hours of sleep daily is the minimum requirement for proper muscle growth.</p>
<p>Some people add supplements and medications which can also help in growth promotion of muscles. There are now many of them available in the market, make sure though that they are legal and safe for you.</p>
<p>So there it is the three basic essentials one would need to follow in gaining muscle. Commit to these basics and you will see that all your efforts will not go to waste. Now get off that couch and start pumping iron.</p>

<p>Chivalry refers to the medieval institution of knighthood and, most especially, the ideals that were associated with it. It is usually, for example, associated with ideals of knightly virtues, honor and courtly love. The word comes from the French word chevalier which means knight. The English word cavalier comes from the same root. The fighting arts that were practiced by these knights were known as chivalry arts.</p>
<p>Art of archery, swords etc. are called as chivalry arts. These arts involve a lot of physical exercise. Also these arts involve particular type of body movements. Therefore when we practice these arts each and every part of our body is being worked out. Some of these arts also include jumping and running. Therefore we can say that it will give a complete workout to our body. Also it will help in burning the fats and the extra calories which we have gained. As it includes a lot of body movement, it will lead to mobility and stability of the joints thereby increasing your balance.</p>

Fitness and exercise seem like a small price to pay for such great rewards.</p>
<p>The first step in a fitness and exercise program is in deciding what type of exercise you enjoy. Fitness and exercise needs to become a lifestyle and that are more likely to happen if you engage in activities you consider fun. Do you enjoy swimming, hiking, walking, running, racquetball, tennis, golf, or any other sports? Are you the type of person who enjoys lifting weights, or using the Stairmaster machine at the local gym? Everyone has different tastes when it comes to fitness and exercise. Deciding on the activity that is right for you is the first step.</p>
<p>Next, make sure that you don&#039;t overdue it. Many people rush into a fitness and exercise program and over due it the first day, leading to sore muscles and aching backs. When that happens, they are much less likely to continue their fitness and exercise program. Moderation is important in a fitness and exercise program. Also, if you are extremely out of shape when you begin your activity, you need to start out at a slower place than you would if you were moderately in shape. If possible, get advice from your doctor or another healthcare professional or physical fitness instructor before beginning your fitness and exercise program, and find out what is right for you. For many people ten minutes of brisk walking every other day is enough to get started. This can gradually be advanced to fifteen minutes, and then twenty. The important thing with fitness and exercise is to stay with it. The more you do, over time, the more &#034;in shape&#034; you will become and the more you&#039;ll be able to do. Right now six months seems like a long time, but if you begin a fitness and exercise program now, six months will come and go quickly and you&#039;ll see a noticeable difference in your fitness level, your stamina and the way you feel.</p>

A child who is active will have stronger muscles and bones, leaner body since exercise helps control body fat, less likely to develop into overweight, decrease the risk of developing diabetes. It also helps to keep lower blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels and have an enhanced outlook on life. In addition to the health benefits of usual exercise, kids who are actually fit sleep better and are better able to feel the physical and emotional challenges that a typical day presents.</p>
<p>Elements of fitness:<br />
Stamina is developed when somebody regularly engages in aerobic activity. During aerobic exercise, the heart beats faster and a child breathes harder. When done regularly and for nonstop periods of time, aerobic activity strengthens the heart and progress the body&#039;s ability to carry oxygen to all its cells. Aerobic exercise may be fun for both adults and children. Some examples of aerobic activities are:</p>

2. bicycling<br />
3. ice-skating<br />
4. in-line skating<br />
5. soccer<br />
6. swimming<br />
7. tennis<br />
8. walking<br />
9. jogging<br />
10. running</p>
<p>Improving muscle does not have to mean lifting weights. Although some children help from lifting weights, it must be done under the direction of an experienced adult who works with children. But most kids do not need a formal weight-training program to be strong. Push-ups, stomach crunches, pull-ups and other workout help tone and strengthen muscles. Children also slot in strength activities in their play when they climb, do a handstand or wrestle. Stretching exercises assist to improve flexibility, allowing muscles and joints to bend and go easily through their full range of motion. Kids look for chance every day to stretch when they try to get a toy just out of reach, practice a split or flip over the couch.</p>
<p>How much exercise is enough?<br />
The percentage of children who are plump has doubled. Although lots of factors are contributing to this epidemic, kids are becoming more inactive. Combining normal physical activity with a healthy diet is the key to a strong lifestyle. By considering the importance of being physically active, one can instill fun and healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Help the child participate in a variety of activities that are correct for his or her age. Establish a usual schedule for physical activity. Slot in activity into daily routines, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Keep it fun, to count on the child to come back for more</p>

<p>Pilates Equipment</p>

Exercise is performed either sitting or standing by pushing at the bar. The resistance thus created improves muscle strength of the spine.</p>
<p>Reformer is another pilates equipment used for providing healthy spine alignment. This equipment consists of a sliding platform attached with springs at one end of the frame. Pulling at the ropes or pushing the stationary bar creates balance and resistance. This slow motion of each movement helps in yielding a strong back.</p>
<p>The third equipment is the cadillac. This has a padded platform with a cage-like frame above it, along with various bars and straps attached with springs. Attaching these straps to the feet or hands and working out tones the hips, back, and abdominal muscles. Improving strength, balance, and flexibility of the back and the complete body is strategically done with the help of this pilates equipment and exercises.</p>

<p>Aerobic exercise will help to maintain a higher heart rate and the oxygen is used to burn the fats and glucose to produce adenosine triphosphate, which is the carrier of basic energy for each and every cell. At the beginning of aerobic exercises, glycogen gets broken down in order to produce glucose but if there is no glucose present, it would result in fat beginning to decompose. The decomposition of fat is a process that takes its time and also result in performance levels going down. When the body starts to use fat as a fuel, it causes what marathon runners call hitting the wall.</p>
<p>There are a number of different types of aerobic exercises and the typical aerobic exercises are ones that are performed at levels of intensity that may be termed high and for quite some time. In the case of a person running a long distance at a reasonable pace, it is treated as being similar to an aerobic exercise, while sprinting is not considered to be aerobic exercising. In fact, any physical activity that is continuous motion will be termed as being aerobic exercise, though activities that have frequent breaks are not thought of being as aerobic exercises.</p>
<p>Aerobic exercise is the method and term that was developed by Kenneth H. Cooper, who was an exercise physiologist working in the US Air Force. Being a person greatly enthused by exercising, he found it puzzling as to why some people performed better while others performed poorly. By measuring systematic performance of humans that used a bicycle ergometer, he began to measure performances that sustained it by using oxygen. In 1969, he took out the book called Aerobics that included exercise programs that scientifically were used for running, walking, swimming and bicycling. A major criticism of aerobics is that it is not suited for professional requirements such as those of athletes, combatants, and police and fire personnel. This may be because aerobic exercises do not provide muscular strength, especially in the upper body.</p>
