May 6, 2012

To Adam & the Fitness Rangers Team,

This letter of appreciation goes out to you and your team at Fitness Rangers for all you have done in the transformation of my health, in part, to your extraordinary approach to exercise. I was a physical wreck at the end of 2011 from years of neglect. The first of the year my weight was 248 pounds and climbing. Some 65 plus pounds overweight for my 5′ 11″ frame. Over the years most men my age (62) have been too busy chasing wealth rather than health and simply put business in front of well-being. Along the way because of this cavalier attitude health issues began creeping into my life due to being overweight. For instance, conditions such as sleep apnea, acid reflux, fatigue, anxiety all attributing to my poor health. My doctor said to deal with my apnea it was either; sleep with a mask, snorkel and pump the rest of your life or simply lose weight and as you know, I chose the latter.

You might recall my daughter Ashley first introduced us when your facility was being constructed. She was about to start work for Fitness Rangers as your massage therapist. The introduction that night resonated in me so much it got me thinking seriously about my personal health and doing something about it.

Losing weight is my challenge today, building muscle next and the greatest challenge will be maintaining. I have lost 34 pounds to date with my goal of reaching 198 pounds by my August birthday. What has been astonishing has been the new profound energy level, solid and restful sleep with virtually no snorting plus what seems to be a clearer thought process. I actually feel years younger and proud to say with an increase in my libido, Hoorah!

I must admit not all has been attributed to boot camp. What also was has been added to this turn-around has been a new diet for me. Adam, I also want to thank you and your team for helping in suggesting a nutritionist and weight plan which has lead to not only the weight loss but almost an elimination of the terrible acid reflux problem I had.

I can’t stress enough what exercise and proper diet can do for a person my age. I am only four plus months into a life changing program which I hope with work and tenacity will continue.

You shared with me about your wanting to develop a program targeting the “baby boomer” generation (seniors), I couldn’t agree with you more. Some, like myself, need to seriously look within to see where they are at physically in their lives and to question the quality of health and well-being they will want in the waning years. The younger generation may not understand what I am trying to covey but I do know most seniors certainly do.

You just can’t beat youth and I am encouraged by most in class motivating me, but you also can’t beat the wisdom of “us old fogies”. My hope is that some of the old fogies reading this are wise enough to heed what I am saying and join me in working together for a common cause, our health.

I want to thank you and your team immensely for the help and encouragement along this journey. Hoorah! - Mickey O.

As I bear crawled through the frost-covered grass at Mckinley park that morning, Fitness Rangers was forged.

From Bear Crawls to Burpees to Wind Sprints and then back to Bear Crawls, the few brave and determined participants by my side became our inaugural class. For me, the driving goal for bringing this group together was simple: get in the best possible shape in the shortest amount of time, using the most unconventional methods possible. We wanted to provide a product and program that was results driven, affordable and downright different…as well as supportive and welcoming to recruits of all levels.

Now, fast forward six years. Our goal remains the same, but we are revolutionizing our program. We’re

launching a state-of-the-art fitness facility centered around our core bootcamp program. And, I’m happy to announce, Fitness Rangers Gym is now open!

With a team consisting of the most educated, inspiring and dedicated people in the industry, we continue to strive to create a fitness experience unlike any other with unparalleled results.

From the frost bitten grass of East Sac to a 5,000 square foot Fitness Rangers facility, we’ve come a long way. We hope our recruits love their new workout options…and new challenging workouts!

Hoorah!
