When shopping for an elliptical cardio machines, you come across a vast selection of machines ranging from $300 to over $5000. Contrary to popular belief, if you spend more money, you’re not paying for the “bells and whistles” programming, you are actually buying a more durable, stable, smoother machine. With all of these huge sales on all the time like 50% off a $2000 machine, it’s easy to lose sight of what to really look for when making the right buying decision. Here is a simple checklist of what to look for when buying an elliptical machine.

John Donne once wrote “No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent.” There is a lot of wisdom in this quote. First, I believe he means that we are all connected, and two, that we cannot live our lives alone. We need other people to connect with, to laugh with, and to count on. To achieve any goal we need all kinds of resources and people are some of the most important resources we could have.

Do you think you would get everything done even if that wish came true? Chances are you would still feel like you’re rundown and never have any time for fun even if there were more time.
I just came across this article on the Globe and Mail and think it's a fantastic idea. Most people make new year's resolutions to get fit, but most people fall short of their goals just a few weeks in. Some of us lack motivation or are self-motivated, or have accountability partners to make sure they get their butt to the gym. This new app charges you every time you miss a workout. What do you think?

We may even get stressed out a bit now and again. The [...]

Story time, grab a chair. I did a program with my buddy David 3 years ago called Mechanical Drop Sets. David put on 30+lbs of solid bodyweight and I put on 20lbs+ in 12 weeks (a little pudge but mostly clean mass). It was insane. So were the workouts. On the high week it was upwards of 500 reps total per workout and there were 4 workouts per week. Ugh. Add it to the list of programs I’ll venture to use again on myself.
