“I’m not a creature of your government, Manila.” – Lady Gaga

The very controversial Monster Ball concert still pushed through despite protests.  I am one of those who went to watch the spectacular production that Lady Gaga and the crew has prepared.  IT DID NOT DISSAPOINT! 

Lady Gaga was quite emotional for the duration of the concert.  After singing the first few parts of the controversial “Judas”, the crowd cheered and danced and she said “Oh, you like this song huh…”  The song “Judas” is one of the songs people are protesting to saying it’s blasphemous etc. But Gaga explained that this song is just a metaphor of loving someone despite them betraying you.  And hasn’t this really happened to some of us in real life? 

There were threats from protesters saying they would sue Gaga if there were any acts of indecency and any form of actions that are unnaccpetable to the Christian community.

I was bracing myself the entire night for something weirder than life GAGA acts but hey – I’m not worried about GAGA, I’m more worried about other pressing matters our country is facing and the criminals on loose and not to mention, the very corrupt government.

I think all these protests just gained Gaga more noise, more spotlight to showcase her “REAL SELF” and she says (here we go, Lady Gaga Quotes from Monster Ball tour Manila 2012)

Also on the bill is Moscow-based trance master Bobina, whom Ferry Corsten has called “one of the most talented music producers ever to come out of Russia”. U.S. Embassy Manila and the Cultural Center of the Philippines just the visit of an American contemporary ballet company, Trey McIntyre Project, to the Philippines. The group will work collaboratively with the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Dance Group and conduct master classes in ballet, modern dance and technical direction in Manila and Iloilo City during a ten-day visit to the Philippines.

Trey McIntyre is one of the most sought-after choreographers working today. He has created a body of more than 90 works for companies such as American Ballet Theatre, Stuttgart Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, New York City Ballet and Ballet Santiago (Chile). He formed his acclaimed Trey McIntyre Project in 2008, based in Boise, Idaho and has since focused on creating works that explore the human experience in transformative and captivating ways.

Trey McIntyre Project’s visit to the Philippines includes two showcase performances:

· May 10, at 5:30 p.m., Central Philippine University, Rose Memorial Auditorium,

Iloilo.

· May 12, at 6:00 p.m., Market! Market! Mall Activity Center, Taguig City.

I have been receiving Google Adsense payouts monthly and I opted to cash out using Western Union.  I’ve been doing this for 4 years and I’ve been waiting for a more convenient way to cash out my earnings.

Here’s one I just recently discovered.

Here in The Fort BGC, the only Western Union closest to my work area is the one by Robinson’s bank near Burgos Circle.  It’s the bank beside Starbucks.

Since I worked in BGC, I’ve been encashing my Western Union payouts through Robinsons Bank.  Then they offered me this new product they have, the Robinsons Bank TXT Remit.

This applies for every Western Union Remittance.  So if you receive a remittance, regularly (monthly, weekly etc) then this card is perfect for you.

You don’t need to go out and walk to any Western Union branch, all you have to do is enroll for a card and once your Google Adsense screams “payment issued” then you text the code and it will automatically transfer your Western Union Remittance to the Robinsons Bank ATM Card.

It was pretty simple actually.  I got my card right after I applied – instantly! 

Steps to Withdraw Google Adsense Payment via Robinsons Bank ATM Card

1.  Go to Robinsons Bank and register for the ATM Cash card.  Ask for the one you can link your Western Union account to.

2.  Fill-up forms.  Be sure to have at least 1 valid government ID.

3.  Wait for you card, they released mine instantly after I filled up their forms.

4.  Once you get your card, be sure to change PIN first.

5.  To transfer your Western Union remittances, or specifically your Google Adsense Payment via Western Union to Robinsons Bank ATM Card:

Text this and send to 0922-6372273

HANDOG <space> RCV <space> CARD# <space> REF# or MCTN <SPACE> SENDER’S FULL NAME <space> SOURCE COUNTRY or CITY <SPACE> AMOUNT

- P2 for Balance Inquiry on their ATM (solution to this: is to check your balance online.  Register your ATM card at https://online.robinsonsbank.com.ph/)

- P11 for every ATM withdrawal

**I’m not sure if these amounts are really being implemented, but this is just my experience today.  Just putting it here so you are aware.

– In my case, I’d rather pay a little fee (P1, P11) rather than find a Western Union branch nearby and fall in line)

– so, it’s up to you ^_^

Blogging from WordPress app! Using my HTC Cha Cha. 

Sometimes I have thoughts I want to put in writing and this is one of them.  I’m a bit sick as of the moment and can’t get out of bed… But I can still hold my phone and blog. Yaye!

Anyway, I just realized something.  People are dependent on each other, no man is an island.  But one thing I always try to pursue is to be independent of all my needs from other people.  Meaning, to stand alone… Have buffers, plan A and plan Bs… Not needing help as much as possible.  Nobody can achieve that state, definitely… But as much as I can, I try to be.

One thing I can’t stand though is being disconnected from people.  Talking to myself! It’s one horrible lonely feeling. 

So yeah, I may not need a lot of help from people, but I do need that connection…

I’m a very lonely person and I think without Twitter, Facebook, Plurk, Tumblr etc, I’d be sitting in front of a psychiatrist now.  Social Media makes me alive, keeps me from being lonely, connects me to people… To friends far away.  To meet interesting people on the web and so much more!  Maybe that’s why they call me the Social Media princess… It’s not only me, I think everyone needs to connect…

So to all networks, telcos and mobile companies out there who compete for subscribers and users – this is what I say… People need to connect.  The more effecient and effective it is, the better.

Get creative.
