I wanted to take the opportunity to share some of my published editorial photography from the past 18-years. As a photojournalist I have completed editorial photography assignments in more than a dozen US states and half-a-dozen countries around the world for some of the largest publications on the planet. My clients have included The Associated Press, Newsweek, USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Army Times, Der Spiegel, Science et Vie, Dealernews. Additionally, my work has been broadcast and published online and in print by National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Time, People, ESPN, CNN, The Weather Channel and countless other local and regional media outlets.

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to spend a day flying above and walking around the base at Pearl Harbor, to see what those words and the sacrifice associated with them truly meant. I still cannot explain the type of catharsis that occurs when you visit a place that you have studied for most of your most of your life. For me it was truly profound. I found myself feeling some pretty raw emotions about an event in time that I had always chalked up to being terribly tragic, but something that I ultimately couldn’t relate to.  As I stood on the deck of the USS Arizona memorial and watched drops of the Bunker-C oil float to the surface every few seconds from the ship below my imagination took over. With each drop that would spread out into a dizzying rainbow that lasted only a few moments before it became part of the harbor and disappeared I could feel the same breezes coming from the mountains to the west that they did on that morning, I could smell the odor of the fuel oil released oil that they did, and I could feel the same rays of sunshine on my face. In that moment the gravity, and magnitude of what happened came over me in a wave. I had never felt this way visiting a historic site before, and I’m not sure I ever will again, but for on brief moment I’m thankful to have fully appreciated what those Sailors, Marines, and civilians gave up that morning 75-years ago.

It was great getting to know Jordan over the past week, I can assure you that we will be working together several more times before this year is over. If you don’t follow the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Jordan is the best reason I can think of to start. Without a doubt he is one of the hardest working, most dedicated and deserving people I have met through my work in the past few years.

Product Photography Interceptor 5.56 and 7.62 Silencers

Today, lets take a look at their new INTERCEPTOR line of Quick Attach suppressors that are available for both 5.56 and 7.62.

We have had a chance to see the development of these silencers progress through several iterations during other projects with Innovative Arms over the past few years, so it was an honor to be able to photograph these products for their official release to the public. Looking forward to photographing  and filming these in action as soon as they make their way back to South Carolina following SHOT Show. Here is a quick excerpt from their product information.

The INTERCEPTOR gives excellent sound suppression, recoil reduction and precision accuracy in a compact package. The patented one piece core is machined from billet bar stock and has no internal welds. Each comes with one quick attach flash hider mount and attaches/removes from the barrel in seconds. They are full auto rated on barrels down to 10″ with the INTERCEPTOR 7.62 being rated for a barrel length down to 7.5″ when using .300blk ammunition. All INTERCEPTOR models are available with or without the Exoskeleton Shroud and in the following colors: Black, OD Green, Flat Dark Earth or Brushed Stainless. 

The INTERCEPTOR 7.62 is rated for multiple calibers and almost every rifle application, including 7.62×39, 7.62×51/.308 WIN, .300blk, .243, .260, .260, 6mm, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.8, 5.56/.223 on down. The Exoskeleton Shroud is required for use with 300WM.
