It's also boring as hell when you've been cooking it the same three ways since you started college and had to fend for yourself. It's chicken — and it's probably time you expanded your range. Learn how to make Indonesian chicken with green beans, tortilla-pecan-crusted chicken (with a hidden cheesy filling), and chicken with mango-cherry salsa. Bonus round: a tutorial on steaming grains to soak up all that finger-lickin' goodness.

Only Germany still excavates new angles worth exploring cinematically; fortunately, its latest import on the subject proves no exception. It's the true story of Salomon "Sally" Sorowitsch, a Russian Jewish immigrant who was a major player in the German crime underground before he was sent to the camps and selected to counterfeit the US dollar. With a quiet insistence and a terrific, swelling tension, The Counterfeiters raises the rarely posed question: Just how morally accountable were those in the camps?
