      Whimsical, indeed! The Improbable Adventure begins: Probably. Probably at the most beautiful school in the nation, Ullens, the place where I am hanging my hat and little else, opened for the school year 2065-2066 today! I was asked to give a rousing speech to inspire the crowd ( 300 K-10 students and their adoring parents and equally adorable teachers and staff). Using every trick in the book from my noted pep talk handbook, I had them screaming in unison answering my calls for noise, cupping my hand around my califlower ear as though I could not hear them while in actuality my......

      Today we have celebrated Nepali New Years by traveling to various temples, stupas, and monasteries throughout the valley. It is the year 2065. Boy, time does fly. Narrow roads filled will families walking together in their finest dress along with cavalcades of buses and motorcycles filled top to bottom with revelers of the victorious Maoists and especially their young hotshot offspring, the YCL ( the Young Communist League). Tooting and waving and screaming and drinking and happy as all get out for disposing 240 years of the King and feudalism!Mike Lilly2065, the new year celebrating at Daksinkali Temple Up we go!...

      His High Holiness The Dalai LamaThe Dalai Lama as of today is still planning to come to Ann Arbor to lecture and meet all. Please show your positive activism and concerns with the events in Tibet. If you feel there is a strong enough reason in your heart that the Olympics not go on then you should share this with your congressmen or letters/emails to appropriate sources....

      Yesterday, noted British Botanist, Dr. Anne Pickering, and I went on an excursion and ended up at the Tibetan Refugee Center. It was set up by the Nepali Government to house and protect those who left and are still leaving their beloved homeland of Tibet....

      So yesterday about 6am in a gentle rain barefoot in the village I was sitting on one of those small thatched stools shucking corn with Indra and Kyamess all the while teaching them English....

      I have been teaching homeless children English in the morning before I go off to assist at the school and in the evening. I am taking them to the book store to pick out books to read for pleasure and some for study then we will go for pizza tomorrow which they have never had....
