Katie Rausch | The Flint JournalLinette Soto of Grand Blanc Township was distraught when daughter Aniza, 2 1/2, was diagnosed with a rare condition called Mosaic Down Syndrome, but became increasingly frustrated as she struggled to find information about it. Learn more Information about Mosaic Down syndrome is available from the International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association, www.imdsa.com. Linette Soto, the association's national vice president, can be reached at (810) 603-0776. With her sparkling brown eyes and endearing smile, Aniza Soto looks like any other cute 2 1/2-year-old girl. But anyone who spends time with her will notice that her left eye jitters and her head bobbles occasionally. "At first we thought that our older kids (ages 9, 13 and 14) had taught her (to bobble her head) just for fun," her mother, Linette of Grand Blanc Township, recalled. "But it didn't stop." A year ago, Aniza's parents discovered their daughter is among a small percentage of children nationwide with Mosaic Down Syndrome, which can cause developmental delays and result in potential health issues ranging from heart to gastrointestinal problems....
