Matt Bach,Flint Journalcolumnist• Read more by him The post was short and sweet: "Matt is looking for a job, will work for money." It was supposed to be another funny post on Facebook (an online social network), but at the same time I was looking for something new professionally. Much to my surprise, I had a job offer -- within 48 hours. Hard to believe, but it's true....

Jeff Rauschert I truly enjoy most aspects of my position at The Flint Journal. I work with extremely talented people, I get to try the latest technology, including mobile phones, and I get to talk with some of you each day about our evolving effort online. But there's one thing I truly despise about my job: monitoring disparaging comments that people post in our blogs. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy seeing people interact online, carrying on conversations with complete strangers on a worthy topic. It's part of what journalism has become, it's here to stay, and I think it's great for the community. Most of it's usually good dialogue....
