CAV Training – Aug 28, 2010, 9am-4pm, John Darling Lodge, Tampa

FYI: For those of you that indicated an interested in working with the current Jobies in FL there is a training program that you must go through in order to work with the daughters. The next CAV (Certified Adult Volunteer) training is taking place at John Darling Lodge in Tampa, Sat. Aug 28 from 9am to 4pm. You must be on time. Anyone arriving after the 9am start will be turned away. Please see the iojd.org website for more info on the CAV program. Let Mom Jan or Dad Thomas know if you are interested in attending ASAP.

SUPREME SESSION 2010 – COLORADO SPRINGS

Supreme Session 2010 was held in Colorado Springs, CO, Aug 4-8. Ariel H is now the Supreme Bethel Junior Custodian and Reba B is Supreme Representative to North Carolina. Congratulations to these members of Bethel No. 9, St Petersburg. Ariel represented the Jurisdiction of FL as Miss Florida Job’s Daughter and made the Job’s Daughters of Florida proud.

Courtney Painter, of Delaware, is the Supreme Bethel Honored Queen and Alinda Busnardo of Goias, Brazil, is Miss International Job’s Daughter. Alinda becoming MIJD has made history for the Order as she is the first from outside the US and Canada. Our new Supreme Guardian, Toni Underwood is from Missouri and the Associate Supreme Guardian is Rick Holloway from Idaho. Supreme Visit will be in Florida Dec. 15-18, 2010. Details will be posted once they are finalized.

REUNION MEAL & REGISTRATION UPDATE

After serious consideration a decision has been made to include a category for youth, relative to the banquet and registration.

MEALS Adult – $30 Chicken or Grouper Youth over 12 – $10 Possibly pasta or a hamburger TBA - Plz send the reservations in. As soon as we know what the choices are we will advise you. Child 12 & under – $7.67 Child Pizza, Hot Dog, Child Chicken Tenders

REGISTRATION Adult – $10 Family of 3 or more – $25 Child/Youth – $5

Please weigh the costs of registration, i.e. if you are a family of two adults and two children/youth it may be more cost effective to pay the family fee.

Everyone attending the dance should be registered and may be called upon to show their registration tag.

Time is running out. Just a reminder about the FL JD Family Reunion. If you haven’t already made plans to attend, we hope you will take the time to do so. The registration packet is on the right side of this page. We also hope that you will reserve this time to come renew aquaintances and we look forward to seeing you there.

2010-2011 Miss FL Job’s Daughter & Jr. Miss FL Job’s Daughter Chosen

Ariel from Bethel 9 was crowned Miss Florida Job’s Daughter for 2010-2011 and Reba also from Bethel 9 was crowned Junior Miss Florida Job’s Daughter 2010-2011.

These young ladies will be representing Job’s Daughters in FL. Won’t you join us in wishing them all the best during their reign.

Congratulations, as well as, to all the daughters from Bethel 9 and Bethel 13 who participated in Ritual Competition and Pageant. You all did an excellent job!

Ritual Competition and Miss & Jr Miss FL JD Pageant

Ritual Competition and Miss and Jr Miss Florida Job’s Daughters Pageant is quickly approaching. Saturday, May 1, 2010 beginning with Ritual Competition at 9 am – lunch at noon – Pageant at 1 pm. This is taking place at the Florida Masonic Home and Northside Lodge in St Petersburg.Trophies and ribbons for Ritual Competition will be awarded during the afternoon session and just before the Miss & Jr Miss competitors are given their final question.

The Daughters are polishing up their memory work and preparing for Competition and Pageant. You are all invited to attend and show your support for these Young Ladies.
