Surprise, surprise--the super-sexy Megan Fox has a troubled past. A snitch tells Now magazine that the sultry Transfomers: Revenge of the Fallen star was scarred by her parents' divorce and when her mother remarried, Fox sought refuge from her strict stepfather in music and movies.

In addition, Megan idolized Marilyn Monroe growing up, which you probably already guessed from the prominent image tattoed of the fallen Hollywood star on Fox's arm. The source reveals, "Even when she was a baby, if she saw her on TV, she'd go into a trance. She feels like they're kindred spirits." Join the club, sweetie.

Additionally, the insider claims that Megan and her co-star Shia LaBeouf share an "open relationship" and added, "I wouldn't be surprised if she invited other girls into their bed for threesomes. She's focused on being with Shia in the near and long-term."

Well, if that is true, it's not exactly clear where that leaves Megan's ex-fiance, Brian Austin Green. But for those of you ladies with your sights set on Shia, if you play your cards right, you might just end up in bed with some action heroes.

Action Movie Sequel Time: The Expendables 2, And More Inglorious Basterds Prequel Talk486

Sylvester Stallone’s new movie The Expendables is big. Really, really big. At least that’s what a fawning writeup from New Orleans site nola.com would lead you to believe. So big, really, that there is easily room for a sequel. Or two. When asked about further films, producer Avi Lerner said, “definitely. We already have got some ideas about Expendables No. 2, No. 3. Definitely, it’s a franchise movie.” Granted, as The Playlist pointed out when they dug up this story in the first place, Lerner likes sequels, and at this point that’s just the sort of thing you say about a testosterone-filled movie like The Expendables.

Meanwhlie, Quentin Tarantino has spoken up about the possible Inglourious Basterds prequel. That’s after the jump.

So Tarantino had told the New York Times not too long ago that he had a prequel in mind for Basterds that involved a bunch of the core characters and a subplot, cut from the film, about an African-American unit of troops in WWII. Then Harvey Weinstein buffed up the idea that the prequel might happen. Now in an interview with Variety QT says he’s enthusiastic about the prequel, even as he admits, based on past experience that said enthusiasm might not mean much.

“Oh, yeah, I definitely do [have enough enthusiasm for the prequel]. I’ve written the first half already. I’d have to finish it, get the Basterds back together, and insert a whole other group of characters, these black troops that come across the Basterds.” The cast is evidently into it, too. “All through the movie, Brad Pitt and Eli Roth just kept saying, “Prequel. Prequel.” Brad would say, “Let’s talk him into doing a prequel.” The guys love the idea. I’ve got the storyline. Then again, I was going to do all these animated prequels to Kill Bill. I didn’t end up doing any of those.”

And finally, the rumor of Tarantino cutting a whopping chunk of film for the US release cut has been proven entirely false by QT, who says the locked final version of the film is…longer than the Cannes cut. By one minute. “I’ve heard these rumors that the studios told me to cut out 40 minutes. These are complete lies. The movie is actually a minute longer, in running time, than it was in Cannes. It was 2:28, without end credits, and now it’s 2:29, or 2:32 with end credits.”

Oh, one more thing: if you liked the Basterds soundtrack listing, you’ll probably like it more now, as QT has added a couple of new cues.

Eli Roth has been doing some phone interviews over the last couple days to promote Inglorious Basterds, and Shock Till You Drop got a lot of info out of the director about various upcoming projects. Most notably, he says that he’s learned that he really only wants to direct original stories that he writes. And while the idea of doing sequels hasn’t been ruled out, Roth has nothing to do with Hostel III, of which he says “If I started something and other people want to continue it, go for it. I’m just not involved in any way.” So what is Roth doing?

Despite a lot of talk about Trailer Trash over the last couple years, which was pitched as a Grindhouse-esque collection of faux movie trailers, it seems like Endangered Species could still be next. That’s the film that Roth teased in an interview at Cannes, which he’d now like to cast in the fall and shoot hopefully this year, or at latest next spring. Will he still use some of that budget to make the full version of his Grindhouse trailer Thanksgiving, as he also said at Cannes? Let’s hope so, as Thanksgiving remains the most entertaining thing he’s done to date. (Really, after Grindhouse failed to make money, was anyone really dying to finance Trailer Trash? Probably not, even though he’s described it as a Monty Python and the Holy Grail or Amazon Women on the Moon style comedy more than a horror film.)

Roth also confirms that his adaptation of Stephen King’s Cell is dead, though the Weinsteins could well make it with someone else. “I walked off Cell kind of quietly,” Roth says. “There was just sort of a difference in opinion on how to make to film and what the story should be, and there’s a different direction the studio wants to go with it.” He’s still producing the RZA film The Man With the Iron Fist, though, as well as the remake of Tobe Hooper’s Funhouse and the exorcism film Cotton, which is now in post-production.
