We've prepared a little cute suprise for Your summer picnic:

Carving a Smile on a Watermelon

A watermelon basket, filled with various fresh melon balls, always brings a smile to those who see it. This watermelon is smiling right back at them. Watermelon is a healthy fruit and a welcome addition to any meal, dessert or snack.

Steps
1. Use a round watermelon and slice 1/2 inch (just over 1 cm) off the end to provide a stable base. Determine the desired height of your carving and, using a pencil, draw a line all the way around the watermelon.

2. Use the knife to remove the top portion of the watermelon to create the flowers with a flower cookie cutter.

3. Remove the flesh with a melon baller then make the fruit salad.

4. Draw a smile with a pencil, making adjustments in scale to your particular watermelon. Use a paring knife to carve out eyes and mouth.

5. Cut 1/4" (just over 1/2 cm) slices from the rind of the removed top portion, and cut with flower shaped cookie cutters.

6. Attach the flowers to the head with sturdy round toothpicks. 7. Attach decorative melon balls on top of flowers to form the buds.

8. Fill the carving with a salad of watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe balls. Place on the center of the table as a centerpiece.

Recipe - Flowers with bread basket

Materials:
- 3 stems orange spray roses
- 1 stem orange hypericum
- 2 stems rosemary
- 10 stems beargrass
- 1 bread basket with handle
- 8-inches twist-tie
- 1 yard decorative fall ribbon
- Floral clippers & scissors

Directions:
Step 1 - Cut the flowers and foliage. Remove the greens half-way down the ends of their stems.

Step 2 - If you are right handed, hold the flowers in your left hand (vice-versa, if you're left handed). Hold the flowers just under their blooms.

Step 3 - Each flower is added so that the blooms are at the same height. Try to make a round shaped bouquet.

Step 4 - Rubberband the bouquet together and then cut the stems to about 10 cm in length.

Step 5 - Twist-tie the bouquet onto the handle of the basket.

Step 6 - Cover the twist-tie with decorative ribbon and tie a bow over the handle of the basket.

Materials:
- Rimmed plate (A rim is important, as the cake plate is required to hold water.)
- 1 кed big candle
- 5-6 red roses
- 5-6 red snap dragons
- 5-6 leather fern
- Floral clippers and flower preservative

Directions:
Step 1 - Fill the cake plate half-full of water that has been treated with floral preservative.

Step 2 - Set the candle in the center of the cake plate.

Step 3 - Cut the flowers and foliage to about and circle them around the candle.

The Holiday's flowers gift

What do you need:
- Spice jars
- 2 stems of the following: red Gerbera, red roses, red standard carnations and holly with berries
- Floral clippers and flower food/preservative

Directions:
Step 1 - Empty the jars.

Step 2 - Fill the jars with water that has been treated with flower preservative and place them randomly throughout the rack.

Step 3 - Cut the flowers to the height of the jars - the flower bloom should sit on the rim of the jar. Now insert flowers into the jars.

Step 4 - Keep the jars filled with water, adding water/flower food solution as needed.

Resipe - Pleasure in a Bowl

Materials:
- Flowers and Foliage - 3 to 4 stems of the following, orange spray roses, orange carnations, rosemary and lemon leaf, bells of Ireland (use your team colors)
- 10-inch glass/acrylic bowl
- 4 to 6-inch diameter bowl
- 1/2 brick floral foam
Floral clippers, knife and floral food/preservative.

Directions:
Step 1 - Soak the foam in water that has been treated with floral preservative.

Step 2 - Fill the small bowl with floral foam. The foam should come 1-inch above the rim of the bowl. The trick to arranging in a round container is to think of the face of a clock. Starting with the greenery, insert the hour and minute hands into the center of an imaginary clock (the center of the container). Cut the greens to approximately 5 to 6-inches in length. Arrange additional greenery at the quarter hours. Now fill in the other hour marks with more foliage. Add the flowers by following the same procedures as the greenery. Cut flowers slightly longer than the greens. Fill in obvious spaces with more flowers and foliage.

Step 3 - Now fill the large bowl half-full with popcorn. Then set the flower-filled bowl inside the half-filled bowl. Add more popcorn, filling the entire large bowl.

Recipe "Rose's Bubble"

Materials:
- 8-inch bowl
- 21 roses, a combination of varied colour (like You want)
- 10 stems of gypsophila or other filler of your choice
- Bowl tape or regular scotch tape
- Floral clippers and floral food/preservative

Directions:
Step 1 - Fill the bowl full of water that has been treated with floral food/preservative.

Step 2 - To hold the flowers in place, make a grid over the top of the bubble bowl with bowl tape or scotch tape. The grid is created by placing 4 lines of tape over the top of the bowl, first in one direction and 4 lines of tape in the other direction.

Step 3 - Fill the Bowl with rose blooms by cutting them to approximately 8- to 9-inches in length. Insert the stems into the tape grid.

Step 4 - Now cut the gypsophila (or other filler) slightly shorter than the roses and rim the roses with this filler.
