Just an FYI: Step 3 is unnecessary. The Gear Differences “Snapshot Current Profile” feature is specific to computing Gear Differences, it is not used for anything else. It allows you to compare your gear to profile different than your armory. In general, any change you make to the paper doll, will be automatically reflected everywhere else in Catus.

For example, observe the various stats listed in “Cat Stats” as you change gear, enchants, gems, talents, buffs, and race.

Ugh, my mind’s stuck in Cataclysm thinking. Yeah, that’s right about Mangle, ignore what I said about the shred extension thing, just remember that it’s strong enough that it’s okay to use it to get Rip up faster.

I think that Mangle actually refreshes Rip just like Shred does now, so I guess you don’t even have to use it then. I find this quite silly that Mangle is better than Shred by any measure, it’s akin to Claw going out of date like it did (haha).

This is true. Mangle and Shred are roughly equal in damage now, so it’s slightly better to use Mangle to generate cps since you can get Rip up faster. (You still Shred 3x for every Rip, and when you need to dump energy during Bloodlust, and other times that I’m sure aggixx or Tinder will come in and reimind me.)

I read on a forum (thus the information is quite likely incorrect or spotty) that Mangle is the new combo-point generator if you’re using Soul of the Forest. As I’ve been extremely casual so far in Mists (often going weeks without logging in) I don’t really know if this is true or not. I suspect that it’s not, given the way that Feral has been for years now, but I figured I’d check here and see. Thanks.

Oh and you might want to mention that by default it will change your orange gems and your glove and cloak enchants to find the best possible solution, so if anyone is having any issues getting the results to match up in game, double check that your gems and enchants are what it wants them to be!

Thanks for the link to my youtube video. I added an annotation + link to this guide since it truly is the better way to do reforging with RoR.

Props to raffy for implementing such an amazing tool.
