So after finally settling in to my very first home away from home (off campus!), I have been given the responsibility of cooking for myself, eeek! To my greatest surprised, I have actually managed to whip up some pretty delicious meals. The trick here is to experiment: not once did I follow a recipe, I just started throwing things together! My favourite meal by far has got to be what I made last night, cajun honey mustard pork loins with mushrooms and tomatoes, with a side of rice!

Mmmmm. Now I just need to keep this up! Hopefully, this food porn will hold you over until I jump back to my blogging routine!

Hey ladies (and possibly gents!)

It's been a long few weeks (packing, moving into my house, leading frosh orientation, etc.), but I've finally have time to actually sit down and take an hour or two to do absolutely nothing! Club Monaco's latest collection to hit the stores is their amazing fall line - it's very chic and simple and not to painful on the wallets (what am I saying - I can't afford anything from CM on a college student's budget!) But I do have to say, it's a great way to build a wardrobe with a designer feel without the designer price tag! This line is very fresh and follows the essence of Club Monaco - clean cut, sharp, tailored, and flawless. If I could afford to, I'd definitely snatch up almost all of the items! ...literally. I thought we were going to roadtrip it with the family and friends to Sault Ste. Marie, but apparently not. And my parents say I'm unorganized...

With a mere 7 hours to go, the parentals are figuring out where we're heading to, with NO hotels or activities planned. It's pretty frustrating, and I'm trying to keep my cool. Regardless, I'm packed and ready to go anywhere but here! I need some away time from my room and computer anyways.

I wore this outfit yesterday to go hang out with a few friends from school that I haven't seen in ages! This jacket is one of my favourites, but it's a size too large (yay for sale section!), so I always roll up the sleeves to make it look more fitted. What do you think? Leave a comment! :)

Design blows me away - whether it's fashion based or concentrated on interior decoration. I love gorgeous houses - the architecture, the layouts, the beautifully thought out design! Considering I'm moving into my very first house off campus in a month for my second of year of university, I have a massive folder of bedroom inspiration! I have an incredibly tiny room (the life of a broke university student, I guess!) so I need to make the most of my space and maximize storage whilst still retaining my personal style. Clearly I'm not the same page as everyone else. I JUST found out that Americans don't have KETCHUP CHIPS! How is that even POSSIBLE?!

I had nooo idea it was an Canadian tradition until about 34 seconds ago. I was completely shocked that I googled it and lo and behold - it's true. I just had to share my disbelief with everyone here. Ketchup chips are seriously one of my favourite types of chips, and I can't believe I've been taking them granted for years, hahah!

And we can't forget good ol' Canadian poutines! Mmmmm.

So my mom randomly wandered into my room as I laid on my bed bored to death and handed me over this button up from my dad's closet! For those who don't know me, which is basically all of you, I have a weird obsession with hair. I find someones hair can make or break their entire look. I just love it - a little too much! I'm that creeper who stares at you for a prolonged period of time if I think you have amazing hair, that weirdo who flips through the magazines and points out the different hairstyles while balantly ignoring the actual article, and that diehard who has saved approx. 45634320 pictures of people and their HAIR. It's true - I love hair! :)

Technically, this isn't my actual outfit of the day. Rather, I've been living in my university t-shirt and short pyjama shorts all day. But after an episode of Weeds too many, I decided to pump up my music and play around with my closet! I randomly put on this outfit and decided to take pictures to show you guys!

I actually really like this outfit! I adore my skirt and my belt, and it went really nicely together with a traditionally classic blouse and blazer!

Faux Leather Jacket: Le Chateau | Cardigan: H&M

I decided to do two variations of my outfit by simply switching up the blazer for a leather jacket and simple gray cardi.

It's been a while since a posted, wow! Recently, just this Monday, I went to The Bata Shoe Museum with a friend of mine. It was an amazing experience! The shoes there were beautiful, edge, delicate, breathtaking, strange, and just simply awesome!

The quality of most of these pictures are not the greatest since I wasn't allowed to use flash! It sucks, because all of these shoes look a billion times better in person! So excuse the blurriness!

Beautiful sandals from Ancient India, I believe!

A fish toering - how beautiful is that? I wish I could get my hands onto one of these...

I absolutely love these Aboriginal boots! I would totally rock these if I could!

Manolos! This section was one of my favourites! It surveyed and displayed footwear from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s! Amazing!

Overall, it was such a fun time! The shoes were hands down amazing, and it was nice to see so much culture jam packed into just a few rooms! Afterwards, we roamed around downtown Toronto and shopped for a bit.

The streets of Yorkville!

We were starving by a certain point that we ran to the nearest Pickle Barrel.

Mmmm, grilled chicken quesadillas, fried calamari, and raspberry (my friend had peach) bellinis! Absolutely delicious!

We ended the day walking around and relaxing in Osgoode Park. I snapped a few pictures of the gorgeous scenery.

Yay to a fun filled day! And this won't be the last you'll see from me, no worries! I plan on posting about a few of my purchases soon, and of course, an inspiration post is coming your way!
