Several months back I shared the work of Sister Mary Corita after being blown away by her alphabet prints I saw at Art Basel Miami. When I learned there was an exhibition, R(ad)ical Love: Sister Mary Corita, featuring her serigraphs as a social activist showing at the The National Museum of Women in the Arts I knew I had to make time to visit.

I went with my friend e and we were in that room over an hour admiring, reading, and gawking at every single print. Sister Mary Corita's color sense is incredible. She used unexpected combinations with pops of color that vibrated off her thought-provoking pieces. e loved her use of tone on tone ink on paper technique which made some things invisible at first glance but brought in the viewer a little more if they noticed there was something else there to be read.

And the text. Sister Mary Corita was clearly well read and very involved in her community. She pulled quotes, intriguing newspaper clippings, and poetry into her pieces to give them another layer of thought. You could tell she really had her eyes and ears opened to what was going on during that very intense era of the sixties. She interpreted the social injustices and political fires of that time into her work in a way that simply spoke to love, unity, peace, and God.

She also had an eye for design. Sister Mary Corita incorporated pop icons, logos, and imagery into her work giving her messages double, sometimes triple meanings.

I love her work! I really wish she was still with us today, I have so many questions to ask her.

Last week I had the lovely opportunity to attend the Anthology workshop at the Anthropologie headquarters in Philly.

The task at hand was to construct a mobile using the existing shapes created by the Anthro/Antho staff.

With hot pink, seafoam green, and gold circles I was excitedly putting together a mobile that would go perfectly in my little home offiice.

I had so much fun! The treats were yum and I loved the energy of the workshop, but most importantly I really enjoyed meeting folks in person whom I only knew virtually and running into people I haven't seen in forever like Jeanine of AprhoChic, and my homie Joy. (First photo taken by Joy.)

We know Yokoo Gibraan from her wonderful scarves and accessories shop, Yokoo; but recently she launched Mother, a new Etsy shop with carefully curated vintages pieces. I love how the collection of vintage denim, sun-faded floral shirts and dresses, and the overall styling feels very Little House on the Prairie.

Macy's Brasil is a campaign celebrating Brazilian fashion, design and culture through in-store events, multiple collaborations with Brazilian designers, and a capsule collection of Brazil inspired products.

The images from the campaign's lookbook and videos are breath-taking.

1. Classic silhouette dress with a bold tropical inspired print. This dress is so fly with a neon yellow clutch.

2. A guide to analyzing the world. In How to Be an Explorer of the World illustrator and author Keri Smith creates a fun guidebook for observing and documenting the world around us.

3. Fun Sunglasses in bright colors. The great things about these sunglasses from American Eagle are that they come in a range of candy colors, they are foldable, and come at a price that allows you to buy a few for summer.

4. Color-blocked sandals. I've been eyeing these cuties for a little while. What a fun palette and these would go nicely with a cute dress or shorts.

5. To-Do Sticky Pad. I love making lists. These little to-do pads come in handy for short lists and for sticking them in a journal or a notebook.

6. Bright nail polish. Revlon has their version of this fun neon color, called Zealous. I like how the color becomes an accessory to an outfit.

I'm loving this cute model with the fly afro in Benetton's colorful spring campaign. Her beautiful bright smile makes her look fresh and ready to take on the warm weather. I'm also loving that orange and pink outfit she's rocking with the yellow shoes. Cute! See more photos here.
