Today before you say an unkind word, think of someone who can't speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food, think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife, think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion. Today before you complain about life, think of someone who died too early.

Before you complain about your children, think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep, think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive, think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet. And when you are tired and complain about your job, think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another, remember that not one of us is without sin. And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down, put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around.

Attitude determines altitude. If you believe you can do it, most of the time, you really can. Goal setting, research, planing, commitment, and hard work are all required to reach any big, life-altering objective. In other words, all the schooling in the world won’t help you reach your dreams if you don’t take time to determine what you want and how to obtain it.

Make A Difference

One day a man was walking along the beach. Then he noticed a figure in the distance. As he got closer, he realized the figure was of a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.

Approaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?" Then the boy replied, "Throwing a starfish into the ocean. Soon, the sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die."

"Son," the man said. "Don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can't possibly make a difference!"

After listening politely, the boy bent down then picked up another starfish. He threw it into the surf. Then smiling at the man, he said "I make a difference for that one."

A simple act of kindness can make a difference. Whoever you are and wherever you are, you can make a difference. To your family, to your friends, and even to unfamiliar faces.

Sometimes, we feel that we are insignificant like the little boy. Yet just like the little boy who picked up a starfish, this simple act of kindness made a whole lot of difference to the starfish.

When you make a little smile to another person, be it your family, friends or strangers you meet, you had made a great difference to them.

Simple little action can make a great difference to the one you care most. Saving a starfish is a metaphor of this little action.

Let's make a difference now.

Being Human

You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire period this time around.

You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time, informal school called life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. There are no mistakes, only lessons.

Growth is a process of trial and error, experimentation. The failed experiments are as much as a part of the process as the experiment that ultimately works.

A lesson is repeated until it is learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it, then you can go on to the next lessons. Learning lessons does not end.

There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned. There is no better than here.

When your there has become here, you will simply obtain another there that will, again, look better than here.

Others are simply mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person, unless it relets to you something you love or hate about yourself.

What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need, what you do with them is up to you.

The choice is yours and answers lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

Each one of us on this earth has it... The ability to lead and inspire.

Sometimes our work feels small and insignificant. But remember, a small ripple can gain momentum and build a current that is insurmountable.

Begin with one small step. Don't let other stand in your way. Some may laugh, so what. Many will follow.

Don't ever give up. Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.

Fear keeps people small. Run towards your fears and embrace them. On the other side of your greatest fears lives your greatest life.

Get out of the stands, get on the court. Take risks and be positive. What you think, is who you become.

Dream, dream big. Feel it, believe it, and achieve it. Whatever your dreams are, go for it! You will inspire others.

Extend a hand. Care and be kind. When someone does something good, applaud. You will make two people happy.

How many movies have you seen in life? How many more would you see?

Our earthly life is marked by arrival and departures. We did not chose the day we arrive here and we do not know the day we are going to be call out of here as well.

Some spiritual traditions teach that, in the moment of death the soul released from the material body remembers every single moment of the live just lived.

This is the movie of your life: Every single act big or apparently insignificant, the good deeds, the bad judgments manifested on day light or on the silence of the night, they are all shown to you.

We face our life registry; We see our virtues and our failures, with our consciousness as our own judge, we realize what we did with our gift of time.

Many traditions defined the next world as "the world of truth". Because when we can see ourselves in a panoramic vision, we can value our actions.

If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path. What we call the secret of happiness is no more a secret than our willingness to choose life. The personal life deeply lived always expands into truths beyond itself.

The movie of our lives have no premiere, and will not go to a re-editing table. We are, what we made of ourselves. There is nonetheless a tradition that teaches the existence of a second movie.

A movie where you could see what you would have become if you followed your heart, have made the right decisions if you had lived your life in full potential.

The majority of the human race only survives, living the fragility of life in day by day basis. There are many out there that silently just wait for a hand full of compassion, for the support of justice and some hope that you are not alone.

Divine Power

We tend to think of ourselves as a people of beginnings and endings. And yet, there is neither.

That which our love will continue forever. Just as surely as that which we hate.

Do away with that which we don't want by ceasing to hate and resist it. There is only one power and one force in the universe... That is God.

He created us in his image and likeness. So we are that.

The power to heal and prosper us, to guide and help us is not in the skies... It is and has always been within us.

All we have to do is to become aware that God is always with us...

There is mountain-moving power in each and every one of God's children, becuase we are a part of Him.

And yet, at times, we think ourselves apart from Him...

We are made as God was. At which He can do we can also do. Everyone are all co-creators of God, and gifted with the Divine Power.

Let me tell you, make sure you read all the way to the bottom. I almost missed this but I was blessed when I got to the end

God, when I read this message, I thought...
I don't have time for this... And, this is really inappropriate during work.
Then, I realized that this kind of thinking is.... Exactly, what has caused a lot of the problems in our world today.
We try to keep God in church on Sunday morning...
Maybe, Sunday night...
And, the unlikely event of a midweek service.
We do like to have Him around during sickness....
And, of course, at funerals.
However, we don't have time, or room, for Him during work or play...
Because.. That's the part of our lives we think... We can, and should, handle on our own.
May God forgive me for ever thinking...
That... There is a time or place where..
HE is not to be FIRST in my life.
We should always have time to remember all HE has done for us.

Easy, Hard, and Funny

Why is it so hard to tell the truth but Yet so easy to tell a lie?
Why are we so sleepy in church but Right when the sermon is over we suddenly wake up?
Why is it so easy to forget a Godly message, but yet we tell others all of the nasty ones?
Of all the free gifts we may receive, Prayer is the very best one....
There are no costs, but wonderful rewards...

Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.
Isn't it funny how someone can say 'I believe in God' but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also 'believes' in God).
Isn't it funny how you can tell a thousand jokes and they spread like wildfire, but when you start talking regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing?
Isn't it funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me.
I pray, for everyone who reads this entire message, they will be blessed by God in a way special for them.

Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.

So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you.

Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so..... 'Love the people who treat you right.. Pray for the ones who don't.'

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it.

Did you know that those who appear to be very strong in heart, are real weak and most susceptible?

Did you know that those who spend their time protecting others are the ones that really need someone to protect them?

Did you know that the three most difficult things to say are: I love you; I'm sorry; Help me.

Did you know that those who dress in red are more confident in themselves?

Did you know that those who dress in yellow are those that enjoy their beauty?

Did you know that those who dress in black, are those who want to be unnoticed and need your help and understanding?

Did you know that when you help someone, the help is returned in two folds?

You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for as long as you live. How you take care of it or fail to take care of it can make an enormous difference in the quality of your life.

You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time, informal school called Life. Each day, you will be presented with opportunities to learn what you need to know. The lessons presented are often completely different from those you think you need.

There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error and experimentation. You can learn as much from failure as you can from success. Maybe more.

A lesson is repeated until it is learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it (as evidenced by a change in your attitude and ultimately your behavior) then you can go on to the next lesson.

Learning lessons does not end. There is no stage of life that does not contain some lessons. As long as you live there will be something more to learn.

“There” is no better than “here”. When your “there” has become a “here” you will simply discover another “there” that will again look better than your “here.” Don’t be fooled by believing that the unattainable is better than what you have.

Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects something you love or hate about yourself. When tempted to criticize others, ask yourself why you feel so strongly.

What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you create with those tools and resources is up to you. Remember that through desire, goal setting and unflagging effort you can have anything you want. Persistence is the key to success.

The answers lie inside of you. The solutions to all of life’s problems lie within your grasp. All you need to do is ask, look, listen and trust yourself.

Eagles in a Storm

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.

God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

The father thought for a moment, then answered, 'Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars.

Then ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars, and then, ask your brother if he'd sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Come back and tell me what you learn from that.'

So the boy went to his mother and asked, 'Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?'

The mother replied, 'Of course I would! We could really use that money to fix up the house and send you kids to a great University!'

The boy then went to his sister and asked, 'Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?'

The girl replied, 'Oh my God! I LOVE Brad Pitt! I would sleep with him in a heartbeat, are you nuts?'

The boy then went to his brother and asked, 'Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?'

'Of course,' the brother replied. 'Do you know how much a million bucks would buy?'

The boy pondered the answers for a few days and then went back to his dad.

His father asked him, 'Did you find out the difference between potentially and realistically?'

The boy replied, 'Yes. Potentially, you and I are sitting on three million dollars, But Realistically, we're living with two hookers and a homo.

Don't Give Up

One day I decided to quit. I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality. I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have one last talk with God. 'God', I asked, 'Can you give me one good reason not to quit?' His answer surprised me...

'Look around', He said. 'Do you see the fern and the bamboo?'

'Yes', I replied.

'When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water.

The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.

In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.

He said.'In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.

In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit.' He said.

'Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant.

But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.

I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle.' He asked me. 'Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots'. 'I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you.'

'Don't compare yourself to others.' He said. 'The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful.'

'Your time will come', God said to me. 'You will rise high'

'How high should I rise?' I asked.

'How high will the bamboo rise?' He asked in return.

'As high as it can?' I questioned.

'Yes.' He said, 'Give me glory by rising as high as you can.'

I left the forest and brought back this story.

I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you. Never, Never, Never Give up. For the Christian Prayer is not an option but an opportunity. Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is, tell the problem how Great the Lord is!
