Taco Bell recently sent handwritten letters and “custom” rings to a handful of up and coming models and actresses. The rings came in sets of two, with “taco” on one and “bell” on the other. In some cases, invites to Taco Bell’s test kitchens were made.

Mmm, Taco Bell, you have that first date swag on lock.

A few of the lovely ladies who received these fast food love letters were swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen, Miss California Leah Cecil and actress Jessica Lu, among others.

Teigen’s note read:

A wise woman once said, “If you liked it then you should have put a ring on it” We like you. So we wanted to give you this custom Taco Bell ring . . . You’re funny, cool and you like Taco Bell.

Again with the words, TBell.

Upon opening her gift in the mail, MTV’s Awkward actress Lu tweeted the photo below and announced, “I’m off the market. @TacoBell just gave me this ring and I said YES.”

Boys, take note.

The letters also included a $20 gift card that we hope will be spent on a luxurious amount of Doritos Locos Tacos.

We just have one question for you, Taco Bell:

Where are our confessions of adoration?

This past Sunday, May 19th, a church located in Ohio offered $25 Chick-fil-A gift cards to every married, “husband and wife” couple. The advertisement (above) promoting this event was posted in a Dayton newspaper and lead with the headline “A Day to Honor Biblical Marriage.”

It should be noted that while the ad does feature Chick-fil-A’s classic logo and mascot, the fast food chain told HuffPo in an email that they did not sponsor the event. The cards were reportedly purchased by a local restaurant and donated to the Cornerstone Baptist Temple.

Still, it’s unfortunate for a company already infamous for their CEO’s anti-gay statements to be connected to a blatantly prejudiced incident. The controversial ad was originally spotted by Reddit user jking191. The post began an intense discussion, with many commenting that the views of any individual Chick-fil-A restaurant does not support the view of the entire company. A valid point, as just last March a location in California offered free meals to gay marriage supporters during a nearby demonstration.

As Dude Foods notes, the bacon taco shell has been done before, however, it’s never been done right. Popeyes for breakfast. Isn’t it music to your ears? During an “experiment” hosted at a single location in Mooresville, North Carolina, people got to enjoy some of the finer things in life during a two-day testing phase.

On May 16 and 17 from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., magic was born. According to the The Huffington Post, the single store offered: grits; bacon, sausage or chicken breakfast wraps; a country fried steak biscuit; a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit; a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit; a “Louisiana’s Best Chicken” biscuit; and a “Blackberry’n Cream Cheese Turnover.”

Damn those North Carolinians.

But this may not be the first time Popeyes dabbled in the breakfast game. In 2012, a store location in Maryville, Tennessee, gave out breakfast coupons (see pic above). Although, it just so happened to also be April 1, so it may have been a cruel, heartless joke.

Currently, the fried chicken powerhouse doesn’t offer breakfast nationwide, minus a few airport locations. And sadly, Alicia Thompson, Popeyes’s vice president of communications and public relations, confirmed to The Huffington Post that there are no immediate plans for national menu changes. “We are testing a breakfast menu in one market. We do not want to speculate as to future plans for the menu,” she said.

Why you gotta toy with us like that, Popeyes?

Maybe in the near future this dream will become a reality. One can only dream.
