Someone was unlocked the final door! We decided when we started this game that the pursuit would be over when someone unlocked the final door and freed the king. That has happened and that person will take home a prize!

Guerrilla Zoo and FoolishPeople present The Abattoir Pages, a terrifying immersive Halloween experience, hosted in a vast, secret subterranean landscape that was once one of London's largest abattoirs.

The Abattoir Pages combines immersive performance, art installation, haunting and treasure hunt-style activity to form a labyrinth of mystery and horror, exposing the earliest Gaelic and Pagan rites. Once inside, audience members will be free to explore the abandoned underground chambers, join the secret party or may be caught in the middle of the most terrifying of puzzles.

This Hallowe’en, the infamous horror author Helen Mayer will hold court at a debauched secret party. She will share the perverse and warped research conducted inside the old abandoned abattoir, which was the genesis of her greatest work. In this dark playground, the very nature of human terror has been tested, abused and fed into the living story 'The Forest'.

The author invites you to solve the puzzle and unlock the terrifying history within the old and powerful pages hidden throughout the slaughterhouse. Each holds a key to learning the truth of an ancient tale, which will ensure your survival.

Tonight, a debt will be repaid to blood dishonoured. An eternal nightmare rises up from the depths of the dark boreal forest, in the shadow of the mountain. It comes to feed on new meat inside an old abattoir.

Due to the overwhelming response to the 'The Abattoir Pages' we're pleased to announce that we've added another date to the run. 

'The Abattoir Pages' now closes on the 1st of November instead of the 31st of October. We also have an extra matinee performance on the 1st of November at 4:00pm.

Joseph is also working as an artist on the Abattoir Pages and has contributed an installation to the Open Source Myth.

A few of the things Joseph Matheny has achieved as an inventor, creator, marketer, product manager, CEO, CTO, writer and artist include: Playing a role in establishing and evangelizing standards and practices such as CD ROM, PDF, DVD, XML, RSS, Podcasting, ARG and digital video. He is the inventor of several matching and recommendation algorightms, is a published author of screenplays, white papers, technology, sci-fi, marketing and gaming books.  

He has been the executive producer and creator of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival Podcast and the ABA All Star Game podcast. BIO: Eric Young, born November 13, 1976, in Jacksonville, Illinois, USA.
Encouraged to have a wide variety of musical taste from a young age, Eric Young began collecting
influences and records from age 6, after hearing Kraftwerk and a lot of early hip hop. Growing up in
the Midwestern United States, Eric had plenty of time to focus on musical studies.
Beginning trumpet at age 9, Eric continued with private lessons in composition and performance and
participated in both school and extracurricular bands throughout elementary, middle, and high school.
Graduating in 1995, he gave up playing trumpet to focus on learning to play tribal hand drums and
singing. During this time, Eric was introduced to the electronic music scene and illegal raves in St.
Louis.

Eric attended college at Mac Murray College in Jacksonville, IL, studying comparative religion and
philosophy, with a focus on pre-christian pagan traditions and philosophies of the far east, in particular
the mystic and mystery religions. That line of study has continued after leaving college, into the present
day, as well as an interest in higher consciousness, energy work, and alternative healing methods.
After relocating to Champaign-Urbana, Illinois in 1998, he began DJing bleepy acid house and IDM at
house parties and local clubs, eventually going on to host and DJ two separate radio shows on stations
90.1 WEFT and 104.5 WRFU. After several more years of independent study into subjects such as
brain change technology ( binaural tones, cymatics, and psychoacoustics) and still composing music, it
was a natural step to move on to production and studio engineering. That became Eric’s primary focus
from that point.

Since 2001, Eric Young has produced and released 9 albums through independent channels, featuring
other talented artists collaborating on many of the projects, most recently his instrumental release
“Scientific Illuminism (Is For Sissies)” on Lab Beat, in the UK. In addition to that, he is DJing,
producing, mixing, and mastering for artists and labels worldwide. He is currently living in Des
Moines, Iowa, and working on 3 new releases as well as putting out progressive, quality DJ mixes
regularly.

In July 2009, HipGnosis began hosting a 2-hour weekly show on http://glitch.fm . “Between Zero and
One” airs Wednesday nights 10 pm – 12 am CST, streamed live, with archives and setlists at

The Abattoir Pages marks the evolution of the open source meta event as FoolishPeople partner with Guerrilla Zoo in an exciting first-time collaboration of two of London’s most renowned art organisations alongside cutting edge artists and performers. In addition we are excited to have the infamous purveyors of fine adventures, Hunter-Gatherers as part of our outstanding creative team.

The production follows FoolishPeople's critically acclaimed sell-out run of 'Cirxus' at the Arcola Theatre and precedes Guerilla Zoo's 'Season of Alejandro Jodorowsky' productions. ‘The Abattoir Pages’ is the prologue to a new, large scale work which will be undertaken by FoolishPeople in 2010.

Wikipedia- Jon Lebkowsky is a consultant, author and activist who was cofounder of FringeWare, Inc. (with Paco Nathan). FringeWare, an early attempt at ecommerce and online community, published a popular "magalog" called FringeWare Review, and a literary zine edited by Lebkowsky called Unshaved Truths. FringeWare's email list, called the FringeWare News Network, established an international following for the organization, which also opened a store in Austin, Texas.

Lebkowsky also has a history of activism, and was a co-founder of EFF-Austin, an organization formed to be a chapter of the national Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). EFF-Austin became a separate organization with Lebkowsky as President. Lebkowsky has written articles and essays, and is a contributing writer and columnist at Worldchanging, and one of the contributors to the book Worldchanging: A Guide to the 21st Century. He was co-editor (with Mitch Ratcliffe) of the book Extreme Democracy. He hosts the ongoing Virtual Communities conference, which covers social software platforms and community behavior, at the prototypic online community, The WELL. Lebkowsky joined the WELL in 1990, and became a host or co-host of several forums on the conferencing system, including forums devoted to Factsheet Five, where he had a brief stint as book review editor, and Mondo 2000, where he wrote several articles and formed friendships with editors RU Sirius and Jude Milhon. Through the WELL, he also became associated with Howard Rheingold and Whole Earth Review, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and boing boing, where he was Associate Editor. He had early associations with staff at Wired Magazine and was conducted a regular, weekly series of chats called Electronic Frontiers Forum at HotWired. He was a subdomain editor for the Millennium Whole Earth Catalog and, in 1996, he joined Rheingold's Electric Minds.

In 1997, he joined Whole Foods Market to help lead their web-based ecommerce efforts, which ended in 2000 with the collapse of the so-called "Internet bubble." He evangelized within the company for the creation of an online community, which was launced as part of the WholeFoods.com ecommerce project in 1998, where he was Interactive Community Director. The community included WELL Engaged forums and periodic Talk City chats.

Lebkowsky formed Polycot Consulting with Jeff Kramer and Matt Sanders on September 12, 2001. He led Austin's Wireless Future project for IC2 Insititute in 2003-2004, and has been a prominent figure within the Texas Digital Convergence Initiative. He is a close friend of author Bruce Sterling, whom he has interviewed many times, and he built and operates the web site for Sterling's Viridian Design Movement. He has been an advisor to the SXSW Interactive conference for many years, and he organized tracks on wireless in 2004 and digital convergence in 2006. He is currently a member of, and core contributor to, Bootstrap Austin. He is currently partner (with David Armistead) in an Austin-based social web consultancy, Social Web Strategies.

In addition to his focus on web consulting and economic development, he is involved in Austin sustainability projects, including Austin EcoNetwork, Austin Green Art, and The Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems.
