I freaking love knickers. I’m also in the firm belief that wearing saucy or cute knickers is the way to vastly improve one’s mood and confidence. So why the hell do I have a separate drawer of crappy knickers just for that stupid bloody time of the month? This is the one time I really need cute knickers to make me feel… to put it frankly, not like a haemorrhaging wilderbeast from the depths of hades.

So I’ve made a decision, I’m getting rid of the drawer of crappy knickers and replacing them with Period Panties! Yes you heard me right, PERIOD PANTIES! (sorry I just had to say it twice, I’m really very excited about these knickers).

Patricia Piccinini’s show Unforced Intimacies is currently running at Tolarno Galleries in the CBD, of course, you should definitely attend, especially if you enjoyed the (somewhat recent) Mueck exhibition. If you can’t make it down to this part of the world for Piccinini’s show, then perhaps order one (or both) of her books, I personally dig the colouring book. Both titles are available via Readings.

I wanted to get footpath humm back up and running as of today, however that has not happened. I haven’t finished writing anything I wanted to finish writing and have kept putting everything on that particular GTD list on the backburner while I fret about returning to study this year and invest a mountain of time into my visual diary and drawing practice.

I’m unsure what to do as I feel like I’ve left it so long now and I’m so out of the routine I was in last year. I want to continue with the site, but at the same time I know I have far less time to invest and am unable to make a decision on what direction I want the site to take. Then I went and started this tumblr and am enjoying the freedom it gives me to just mindlessly reblog other peoples pics in a somewhat curatorial fashion, and also intended it to be a more personal blog. So I don’t want to give up on this either and am wondering where does footpath humm tie in with this?

I’m confused, I’m all over the place. It’s only one month into 2011 and I already feel like I’m doing too many things and have completely lost focus on what I started out to complete or work on this year. So for now I thought I would write this post and perhaps give some insight into why my main site is not running right this moment, and maybe this will help clear my head slightly so that I can work out exactly what the fuck I’m doing.

One concrete decision that I have come to as I type this is to change the layout of footpath humm temporarily, we’re going blog-style and I’ll update both sites with this post until I work out what it is that I’m doing with my blogs/sites in 2011.

In the meantime I’m making a massive effort to get myself back into twitter and (*sigh*) facebook in an effort to be more… social.

Will post more later tonight or tomorrow, right now my brain is switching over to “me want food” mode in which case I must go eat some sort of chip like food (and maybe watch food porn while thinking about food I would like to eat  until dinner).

I wanted to get an official update in before the end of the year, firstly to say a massive Merry Christmas and of course Happy Holidays to you all. In addition, I must say thanks a million times to everyone who has been visiting the site, and continuing to visit the site this year. I’m still slightly shocked at how the numbers have grown this year, the real boost however has been from those of you that come back a few times a week and spend a chunk of your day clicking around the site. Watching the stats has made me want to make the site as awesome as possible in 2011, and I’ll be working hard over the coming weeks to re-launch with a heap of new content as early as possible in January, in the meantime I’ll be summer bloggin’ on tumblr and twitter.
