Getting in the kitchen, and cooking is very popular these days. Especially with the advent of cable, and the plethora of channels showing cooking, and food travel (i.e. Food Network, Travel Channel, PBS, etc.,) people not only want to try cooking new things, but desire having the latest greatest cooking utensils. With that said, you can not possibly consider your kitchenware complete without at least a basic cast iron dutch oven, an iron skillet, and a cast iron fryer.

I don't care how much you paid for your caphalon, all-clad, anolon, or scan pan... NOTHING DUPLICATES CAST IRONS HEAT RETENTION AND DISPERSMENT QUALITIES! Some things like browning beef for chili, frying good old fashion chicken or catfish can be done with other cookware, but not even close to the same taste or appearance.

It use to be that cast iron was too much of a pain, due to the long tedious seasoning process. Logde Logic has not only done that for you, but whatever process they use, makes it work like nonstick, and cleans up with hot water and a nylon brush.

This is a great product. I've used it several times to put up beans from the garden. This model allows me to put in seven quarts at one time. If I wanted, I could stack fourteen pints into the canner. The metal to metal seal works great and it is easy to get the lid on evenly. The weighted pressure valve is a very safe way to regulate the pressure. I would highly recommend this type of pressure cookers to anyone.

If you want to pressure can food at home this is the business. Well made and easy to use it offers you the opurtunity to effectively and safely can food. If you just use it as a large saucepan you can also use it for hot water bath canning as well. All in all a great bit of kit that should last for years (great that it uses a metal to metal seal on the lid/body so no gaskets to perish).

Note that a litre kilner jar is not the same dimensions as an American quart jar so you can only fit 6 in at a time not 7 as per quart jars.

Excellent knife. Well balanced and exceptionally sharp. It cuts through hard bread and soft items easily.

People not used to handling large knives should consider the 8" version of this knife as it takes practice to hadle such a long cutting edge.

Although the blade is very thin and a bit flexible it's not flimsy.

I have owned a Forschner Fibrox handled chef's knife for years and it's my everyday knife. This bread knife is equal in quality and will become part of my standard tool kit.

This knife will cut through a crusty bread with very little effort. The handle is comfortable and light, but well balanced. I agree with other reviews that the 8" Forschner bread knife is a great alternative if you are looking for something a little smaller. Overall, the Forschner line offers the best blade for the price, hands down.

It's a battery so there's not too much to say, although this battery has enormous performance gains over the D90's EN-EL3e, I'm rockin' two of these suckers in my D7000 and I don't know when I'll actually need to charge them again since they've barely gone down at all after a week of heavy usage.

Bought this to have a back up battery for our two week trip to Greece. Ended up forgetting the battery that originally came with the camera and had only this one. Only had to recharge it once during our trip and we took approximately 1500 photos and 2 HD videos.

Works great, it's the same as the battery that came with my dSLR and I enjoy having a reliable backup.

Pentax 62216 Papilio 8.5x21 Porro Prism Binocular

This is one of the most useful devices I have purchased for aiding my close-up photography. I use it to scan a close up scene and pick out objects or features that I want to photograph. It works exactly as advertized. This means that it can be used to view objects from much closer than is possible with conventional binoculars. Of course, it also doubles as the latter, too. Strongly recommended.

As a new butterfly enthusiast I needed a pair of close focusing binocular. The Pentax Papilio provided a light weight, easy to focus, and comfortable to carry binocular. Since I began using them my ability to see details was greatly enhanced.

This product is excellent value for bird watching and nature gazing. I'm very please with this purchase!

Capture Camera Clip System

It's a must have. Takes all the weight off your neck and shoulders. It's nice to secure it to your belt or backpack and not worry about your camera swinging around. I have had mine for a few weeks now and don't see a reason to go back to a shoulder strap. You will not be disappointed. Hooked to a T3i with 18 - 270 lens, works great.

When hiking I've always like to keep my camera readily available, that meant having it around my neck and swinging freely for miles at time. Sometimes the hike would get nasty and I'd have to rock scramble risking my camera swinging below my chest and potentially into a rock. This shutter release does exactly what it is intended for. I am using it with a Canon XSi, and there are no problems of any kind. The cord is about 4ft, which is plenty long for pretty much any situation I would be in. Feels solidly constructed, and looks clean too!

This remote switch is a bit tricky at first. When I first used it most of the time I it would snap a shot immediately after focusing with a half press, rather than just auto-focus as it should. After playing around for a while I realized if you press the very bottom of the button you get a much better half-press auto-focus than pressing the button in the middle as you are used to. The cable itself is much thicker than the Canon brand, not a problem though. I bought this for my Canon EOS Rebel XT.

This is a terrific bag - a good size without being too big. It is very attractive, falls nicely against your side without being too bulky and is very well padded. It also has a mesh pockeet on the top as well as a pocket in the front, and small side holders where you can attach other lens bags.

I really like the two buckles, which are much more useful than the one center buckle on the former model--when you carry bag by the handle instead of straps, the two buckles support the bag. Before, the bag bulged. The velcro area is also much smaller and less noisy than before. Great improvement overall and the older bag was also very good.

This is a great camera bag, but it is important to know (as some other reviews have pointed out) that this bag still looks like a camera bag. Very durable and extremely well put together. It's also very comfortable to throw over your shoulder and walk. The strap is not padded but is comfortable, if you are going to be throwing several very heavy lenses and a very heavy camera you might want to consider a different strap. With a D5000 and 2 lenses it is very manageable. Finally one thing to know is that there are no external pockets, not a big deal to me but may be to others.

This is an item that might stay in your bag and not on the camera much of the time. That is, if your shooting where there is shade to shade the screen of your camera. But when you need this, you really need this. I bought my GF1 because I only shoot in RAW, and I don't worry about JPEG. I shoot in RAW, because I sell my work to magazines, and I need the best file out of the camera that I can get. Lots of the time, I am shooting where the sun isn't directly on the screen on the back of the camera , and so I don't need the LVF1, but when you move to direct sun light, then you really are going to need this. Works great, and you could keep it mounted on the camera if you wanted to. There is a button on the side of the viewfinder that when you push, it moves between the camera screen or the LVF1 being what you view with. What that means, if that you don't need to remove it to use the screen on the camera.

Very high quality. Good image, but not up to par with the one in my G2. Many things to love about it- variable angle, adjustable diopter, small size, and great in bright light. Good reason to buy this item,, it help gf1 or gf2 to take a shot clearly when you use it, by looking at your lcd and if theres light on it, its not clear enough, so use lvf1 to view it clearly.

Panasonic H-FS014045PP 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS Micro Four Thirds Lens

As others have noted, this lens in a Panasonic G camera produces fantastic detail that, in my experience, beats entry level DSLRs and even some midlevel ones. My G1 with this lens, when shooting landscapes, captures as much micro-detail detail as my Canon T2i with a 50mm prime, and with less distortion at the edges. A lot of it is that the camera and lens were developed for each other; the G1's processor actually corrects the soft spots in the lens. But regardless, it's excellent glass and really a steal at this price. As others have also noted, the G-series is not going to compete with the big DSLRs for sports/action/wildlife. But if what you do mostly is street shooting in decent light, the output from this lens on a G-series Panasonic is hard to beat unless you're spending multiple thousands of dollars for full frame DSLRs and top shelf lenses.

This lens is a gem. I would compare it to the classic Nikon 28-105mm lens that I've been using for years with my slr... except it's much smaller. While the newer Panasonic 14-42 is available for less, I made a special effort to buy this lens instead of the newer one. The lens is very sharp, has very good built in image stabilization, and comes with a plastic lens hood. It is very small and lightweight, although compared to the 20mm pancake I normally use, it does feel a little awkward on my GF1. The 3.2x zoom range is not extreme, which is a good thing in my opinion, as it does not seem to make any compromises throughout the zoom range. In 35mm terms, this is equivalent to a 28 - 90mm lens. It is wide enough for decent landscapes, and long enough to get you into the classic portrait range. I'm not a heavy video shooter, but this lens is very quiet when focusing in video mode, so it shouldn't get picked up by the mic.

To sum up... this is a great travel lens. It's not great for low light, but if you want to carry a single lens for a trip... this is the one. Classic lenses tend to retain their value, and this lens is holding up well on the used market... something to consider if you ever plan on selling your gear.

I have tried everything from adhesives to silicone gel covers and these work the best so far. Not only do they prevent the high-beam look, but the discs do not show through, even with white t-shirts. While some of the silicone covers are thick enough to distort the shape of your breast, these are thin and look natural. They are meant to be placed inside a bra and take longer to position than adhesives, but are MUCH easier to take off. The only drawback is the material, which is rubbery, but the effectiveness of these discs is outstanding

This product has changed my life! I am much more confident when I walk anywhere in public. It has improved my posture because I do not have to slump over to try to conceal "the problem". I was truly blown away by the picture quality! I just printed some of the pictures and they look way better than I anticipated from a waterproof camera - insanely inexpensive at that. I kept the camera submerged for long periods of time and I never noticed any sort of leakage. My vacation would not have been complete without it...serious!

Only drawback is the speed at which you can take multiple pictures in repetition. The screen takes a second to process the photo so you have to wait a few seconds to take another picture.

Love this camera. It worked great in every activity we did. We took it snorkeling, in the rain, on a inner tube tour. It didn't matter where went, or what we did, this camera performed. Capturing every moment wonderfully. I added a large capacity SD card and had to download pictures on our last full day (400 pictures and about 20 minutes of video).

I had one problem that was operator error. I failed to ensure the battery door was fully closed after downloading pictures. The camera failed during a morning snorkel. I simply dried it out in the room over breakfast and restarted it. Still working great.

This camera is small enough to put in your pocket and goes great all day. Snorkeling at Poipu to the rim of Waimea Canyon and everything in between, this camera is ready for it.

This bluetooth was prefect for me; I listen to music as a way to relax so when I saw it brought a pair of ear buds, I just had to have it. I've used it a couple of times since getting it and only had to charge it once so far. The set up was very easy for me, I've never used a bluetooth headset before. The only problem I have is the voice command but I'm sure with some practice I'll get it. The sound quality is excellent and works even better than just my phone alone.

This stereo bluetooth headphones almost sound as good as my Dr Dre headphones that I use at home. The voice command work flawlessly, and the pairing to my cell was done in a matter of seconds. This shipper sent the headphones and a got them 3 days ahead of scheduled. Great product and fantastic sound. Battery lasted 12 hours.
