Kingston outdoor engagement sessions can be gorgeous, with all the natural beauty that surrounds us north of the city. And this session was, except for one thing.

Black flies. They were everywhere, swarming us. We shot this Kingston outdoor engagement session for about ten minutes, but I often couldn’t see out of my lens (and black flies don’t taste very nice). So, we will be rescheduling this shoot, but I thought it a shame to not at least show how awesome the location was.

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are approaching fast. I thought I’d do a wedding photography Kingston blog post featuring some of my favourite photos of Mothers and Fathers loving their kids.

Wouldn’t you just love to have photos like these of your parents showing you how much they love you? Something you can one day show your kids. “There’s Grandpa hugging me on my wedding day!” These are the wedding photography Kingston moments that I live for and strive to get at every wedding. Meaningful photos that will make you feel your parent’s love every time you look at them.

Fort Henry weddings featuring award-winning photography by Tim Forbes

Fort Henry weddings have been some of my favourite weddings here in Kingston. It’s a beautiful venue featuring awesome food and is managed by awesome people.

Paul Fortier and his team at Jessup Food & Heritage will make Fort Henry weddings really special for both you and your guests. From my point of view, I always get excited when I’m shooting a Fort Henry wedding because there’s so many possibilities. So many nooks and crannies of simple limestone and gorgeous light. It’s just a joy to shoot there.

Renaissance Kingston wedding photos, wedding venues in Kingston, Ontario

The Renaissance Kingston wedding Event venue is one of my favourite places in Kingston to shoot. It’s one of the more beautiful rooms in the Kingston area and it’s run by Jessup Food & Heritage, the same people who run events at Fort Henry. Paul Fortier and his team do a fantastic job and will make your wedding day super special!

Here are some Renaissance Kingston wedding photos. These are some my favourite photos from a few of the weddings I’ve shot at the Renaissance Event Venue. When you’re planning your wedding event, please don’t hesitate to give them a call. See what they can offer you.

Also, keep in mind how great the location is – right downtown in Kingston. So there’s lots of cool places you can walk to for your couple portraits or group photos.

Vanessa and Mark’s Portsmouth Harbour Restaurant wedding

I was thrilled to be chosen as Vanessa and Mark’s wedding photographer for their Portsmouth Harbour Restaurant wedding. Mark Gerretsen is the City of Kingston’s Mayor, so the pressure was on!

It was a Portsmouth Harbour Restaurant wedding, with ceremony at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and reception at The Harbour Restaurant in Portsmouth, Kingston, Ontario. Formal photos were done at Goodes Hall at Queen’s University.

Meghan and Brian’s downtown Kingston engagement shoot

Kingston can get cold, but compared to Saskatoon, Kingston is downright balmy this time of year. So Meghan and Brian sweated while I froze and we walked around for their for downtown Kingston engagement shoot. Good times were had and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding when it’s ACTUALLY warm out.
