Colette x Eastpak 2012 Capsule Collection

In Eastpak’s latest collaboration with Parisian retailer colette, the bag-maker has produced a limited edition backpack from their ‘Returnity’ range as well as a pair of complementary kicks. Featuring design details from artist Kevin Lyons, the upcoming collection will be available in a Pantone color option of black and blue, with both the bag and pair of kicks sporting Eastpak’s iconic diamond leather patch. These products are expected to drop July 1 at colette and it’s online store, however in very exclusive numbers of only 50 bags and 26 pairs of shoes.

Nike “Air Yeezy II”

The highly-anticipated Nike “Air Yeezy 2″ has finally been revealed, and very much lives up to the hype. Hand skived anaconda textured leather quarter panels are embellished with a debossed Vac-Tech Nike Swoosh. The molded rear is sculpted into a series of spikes, while an engineered strap with scaled down spikes ties the feature together. Bringing the inspiration forward from the late 1980′s basketball foundation of the original Nike Air Yeezy, the II is built on the Nike Air Tech Challenge II tennis shoe outsole and celebrates iconic Nike Cross Training silhouettes with the addition of the molded forefoot strap.

Unnecessary padding was eliminated, and the foot-hugging tongue and plush collar are both comfortable and breathable. Concealed but opulent details reference ancient civilizations, including a loop strap with hieroglyphics that spell out ‘YZY.’ Each screw on lace aglet is obelisk shaped, and the anaconda texture is echoed on the eyelets and leather lace toggle that carries the Roman numeral ‘II.’

The Nike Air Yeezy II in both Platinum and Black editions will release June 9, in limited numbers, at select global retailers.

The A Bathing Ape x Porter 2012 1ST CAMO collection combines the quality materials and construction of the Japanese accessories brand with BAPE’s classic camouflage print. The range boasts an assortment of clean silhouettes, each devoid of frivolous and unnecessary detailing. However, the subtle additions to each bag’s form include adjustable buckles as well as Porter’s signature bold orange contrast interior. The collection also features a laptop messenger bag, small carry case and wallet, each of which feature the motif.

Reebok x Marvel Insta Pump Fury ‘Spiderman’

Even though ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ is being distributed by Sony, Marvel still gets to enjoy watching their superhero get another movie going. To celebrate, the comic book company has teamed up with Reebok to release the Insta Pump Fury sneaker in honor of the trash-talking web crawler. The model gets remade with red and blue colors as a nod to Spiderman’s costume, subtle web graphics on the toe area, as well as the spider insignia on the pump. This will be released on June 8 2012.

What started with a mis-pronunciation, ended up being an interesting little project for Jeff Gaudinet. Kate Moss became Skate Moss in a conversation with a friend and therefore he started to design skate decks, covered with picture material or the name of the iconic top model.
