Bills receiver Stevie Johnson tweeted earlier tonight that he is on his way to Philadelphia to have groin surgery.

Per WKBW in Buffalo, C.J. Laboy, Johnson's agent, describes the surgery as being "extremely minor" and he says that it "won't keep him out long at all. He will be at [the Bills'] facility for all activities."

Johnson, the team's seventh-round pick in 2008, has had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons since breaking out in 2010. He is one of seven players to have 150-plus receptions, 2,000-plus yards and 15-plus touchdowns over the past two seasons combined.

Although we will be updating our fantasy football rankings soon, Johnson was the 25th-ranked receiver in early rankings from early April.

With 10 days to go until the 2012 NFL Draft, Kevin Hanson has updated his three-round mock draft.

Here are his picks for the Bills:

1 (10). Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame: Previously, I had Iowa offensive tackle Riley Reiff here and I think this choice comes down to a tackle or receiver after they landed the biggest free-agent prize of the offseason in defensive end Mario Williams. A four-year starter with some off-the-field issues, Floyd (6-2 5/8, 220 pounds, 4.47 forty) finished his Notre Dame career with 271 receptions for 3,686 yards and 37 touchdowns. Take our poll on how high Floyd will be drafted.

2 (41). Bobby Massie, OT, Ole Miss: If the Bills don't address their need at offensive tackle in the first round, I would expect them to address that need with this pick. Massie has good size, strength and quickness.

8 (71). Jeff Allen, OT, Illinois: With their first three picks in my mock, the Bills improve themselves at receiver (Michael Floyd) and at offensive tackle (Bobby Massie and Allen here). I'm guessing The Amish Rifle would approve.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, free-agent defensive end Mario Williams will visit the Buffalo Bills tonight.

Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, missed most of last season with a torn pectoral muscle, but he is one of the league's premiere pass-rushers.

Since he entered the NFL in 2006, Williams ranks ninth in the NFL in sacks (53.0).

The Bills defense registered only 29 sacks last year -- only the Titans (28) and Bucs (23) had less.

Buffalo Bills Forum • C.J. Spiller rushes for 111 yards

In last week's game, Bills running back C.J. Spiller set career highs in rushing yards (91), receiving yards (76) and receptions (nine) in addition to scoring two touchdowns (one rushing and one receiving).

Spiller, the team's first-round pick in 2010, set a new career high as he rushed for more than 100 yards for the first time in his career. He finished today's game with 111 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries in addition to two receptions for 27 yards.

In his five starts, Spiller has 386 rushing yards and 20 receptions for 147 yards. Plus, he has scored a total of four touchdowns (three rushing and one receiving).

Next week, the Bills face the Patriots, who have allowed two 100-yard rushers in the past three weeks. Washington's Roy Helu rushed for 126 yards in Week 14 and Miami's Reggie Bush rushed for 113 yards today.

Before Week 14, they did not allow any 100-yard rushers.

In their past three games combined, however, the Patriots have allowed running backs to gain 445 yards on 76 carries (5.86 yards per carry).

Buffalo Bills Forum • Bills place RB Fred Jackson on Injured Reserve

The Buffalo Bills have placed running back Fred Jackson on injured reserve today, per Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News.

“It’s a huge blow for us," said Bills guard Andy Levitre. “Fred’s a great player. He was all-purpose for us. We could use him doing anything with our offense. We’re definitely gong to take a blow with that. We have some good guys behind him. C.J.’s ready to step up."

Jackson, who currently ranks third in the NFL in rushing, had six 100-yard games this season.

Now the running duties will fall on the shoulders of C.J. Spiller, the team's first-round pick from two years ago, and Johnny White.
