With 10 days to go until the 2012 NFL Draft, Kevin Hanson has updated his three-round mock draft.

Here are his picks for the Colts:

1 (1). Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford: After having Peyton Manning, a four-time league MVP, under center for more than a decade, the Colts have the "luck" to be able to transition into the next era with a quarterback many have called the best prospect since John Elway. Like Manning, Luck will have the opportunity to start Week 1 as a rookie.

2 (34). Kendall Reyes, DT, UConn: The Colts will be switching to a 3-4 scheme under new coach Chuck Pagano. Reyes is strong (tied for third among all combine participants with 36 bench press reps at 225), athletic and has the versatility to play defensive end in a 3-4 scheme.

3 (64). Josh Chapman, NT, Alabama: Reports are that Chapman, who is coming off ACL surgery in January, will be ready for the start of training camp. The Colts will need a nose tackle as they transition to a 3-4 scheme under new coach Chuck Pagano.

The chances of Reggie Wayne and Peyton Manning playing together, perhaps in Miami, has dropped to virtually zero percent.

Surprisingly, the Colts have re-signed the free-agent receiver to a three-year deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

PFT is reporting that the deal is worth $17.5 million, of which $7.5 million is guaranteed.

(Earlier in the day, Wayne's ex-teammate Pierre Garcon was given way too much money from the Redskins.)

After a seven-year string of 1,000-yard seasons, Wayne fell just shy of the milestone and finished the year with 75 receptions for 960 yards and a nine-year low of four touchdowns.

Wayne turns 34 years old in November, but the good news is Andrew Luck, even as a rookie, is infinitely better than the trio of quarterbacks (Kerry Collins, Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky) Wayne had throwing to him in 2011.

According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, it is looking more and more like Colts quarterback Peyton Manning won't ever play again.

Here's what Cole wrote:

"The nerves in Manning’s arm are not healing as quickly as hoped and, worse, don’t appear to be progressing at enough of a rate to indicate that he will play again, according to two sources with knowledge of Manning’s rehabilitation from neck surgery. The vertebrae in his neck that were fused have healed as expected and Manning began throwing in December. But he hasn’t shown improvement in velocity on his passes, and the two sources fear he likely never will again."

Indianapolis Colts Forum • Colts hire Chuck Pagano as their new head coach

The Colts are no longer searching for a head-coaching replacement for Jim Caldwell, who was fired last week. However, the Ravens are now searching for a defensive coordinator.

Chuck Pagano, who was defensive coordinator in Baltimore last year, will be the new head coach in Indianapolis. Before being promoted to defensive coordinator last year, Pagano was the Ravens secondary coach for the previous three seasons.

Last year, the Ravens ranked third in scoring defense (16.6 points allowed per game) and in total defense (288.9 yards allowed per game). The two-win Colts allowed 26.9 PPG and 370.9 YPG last year.

Earlier this month, Chuck's brother John was promoted to defensive coordinator in San Diego.

With the very uncertain future of quarterback Peyton Manning, who is due a $28 million bonus on March 8th, it's looking like the Colts will have a new general manager (Ryan Grigson), head coach (Pagano) and starting quarterback (Andrew Luck?) in 2012.
