I’ve been busy this past month working on Daily Scripture, an iOS and Android app for Charles Spurgeon’s classic Morning and Evening with bible verses taken from the modern NET Bible.

Charles H. Spurgeon was a British preacher who is known as the “Prince of Preachers”. In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10 million people and was a profilic author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, commentaries, books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns and more. Many Christians have discovered Spurgeon’s messages to be among the best in Christian literature.

Morning and Evening contains 732 devotionals with one devotional for the morning and another for the evening for an entire year.

Now, you can read the daily devotions from Morning and Evening on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch/Android smartphone or tablet.

YouDevotion – Taking Over from Classic Devotionals

Classic Devotionals is now known as YouDevotion. You can read the following devotionals

at YouDevotion.com. The site uses responsive web design making it look good and readable on your smartphone, tablet or PC. The site will work equally well on Opera mini browsers and PC/Mac web browsers on wide-screen monitors.

The name YouDevotion is obviously inspired by YouTube and YouVersion.

I’m working on adding Faith Checkbook by Charles Spurgeon to YouDevotion soon. Hope you’ll enjoy reading the devotionals at YouDevotion.com.

These classic devotionals are available on Project Gutenberg and various sites on the Internet. I have compiled these devotionals together into a single site and formatted them for mobile devices using jQuery Mobile. The site should work equally well for both normal phones with Opera Mini, iPhones and Android smartphones.
