Justin Baldoni attorney rips Blake Lively after judge awards limited attorney fees

Justin Baldoni's lawyer issued a scathing statement after a judge ruled that Blake Lively was entitled to recover attorney and litigation fees.

Judge Lewis J. Liman said in a written decision that Lively can recover legal fees and costs related to her defense against a countersuit Baldoni brought against her after she sued him in December 2024. The judge rejected her claims to triple any damages and pursue punitive damages.

On Friday, Bryan Freedman shared a statement with Fox News Digital, stating that Lively "failed" in her attempt to sue Baldoni for sexual harassment.

"We fought and won against a coordinated effort built on allegations of sexual harassment, retaliation, and a smear campaign that never happened. Ms. Lively demanded over 300 million in fees and damages, had 10 of her 13 claims dismissed, she then chose to settle and received nothing," Freedman began.

"Notwithstanding that all of her sexual harassment and defamation claims were thrown out by the court, Ms. Lively then pivoted to exploit a California law that was established to protect real victims in what proved to be a fruitless mission to obtain damages. Once again, she failed," he continued.

Freedman stated that Baldoni's legal team was successful in exposing the truth and "justice prevailed."

"Ms. Lively was only awarded limited attorney fees for a single claim as part of a case that lasted only a matter of months, nothing more. Throughout this process, innocent people had their reputations unfairly tarnished. There was no sexual harassment," he continued. "There was no retaliation. There was no smear campaign. The court recognized it, the record reflects it, and we have maintained it from the very beginning."

"We would not hesitate to stand up for the truth again," Freedman concluded.

Lively's legal team shared a statement with People. "Bryan Freedman and his clients resorted to a DARVO [Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender] statement that is a pack of lies," the statement began.

"Just a few weeks ago, they said Blake Lively's claims 'deserved to be heard.' Now it seems Justin Baldoni thinks women who bring claims of sexual harassment and retaliation in good faith, without malice, should be sued into oblivion," it continued.

Lively's legal team concluded: "Thankfully, there's a law against that, and the Court applied it today. People who do nothing wrong don't have to pay millions of dollars, which is where this is headed now."

The legal dispute between "It Ends With Us" co-stars began in late 2024 after Lively filed a complaint and later a lawsuit alleging that Baldoni sexually harassed her during the production of the film and that he and his associates participated in a campaign to damage her reputation after she raised concerns. Baldoni denied the allegations and maintained that Lively's claims were false.

In January 2025, Baldoni responded by filing a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and others, alleging defamation, extortion, and related claims. He also pursued legal action against The New York Times over its reporting on the controversy.

However, in June 2025, a federal judge dismissed Baldoni's countersuit, ruling that many of the statements at issue were legally protected and that the claims did not meet the legal standards required to proceed.

The litigation continued through 2025 and into 2026, with both sides claiming victories at various stages. Several of Lively's original claims were narrowed or dismissed before trial, while some retaliation-related issues remained part of the case.

In May 2026, the parties reached a settlement that ended most of the remaining litigation without publicly disclosing the terms.

During an interview with Us Weekly, Allen opened up about the struggles he endured in his near two-decade-long marriage.

"I think a sense of humor saves us so many times," he said.

"We both struggle with golf, and [we were talking about how their daughter] Elizabeth will be a senior next year, and we’re going, 'What’s that going to be like?' and then Jane sat in the golf cart and said something really funny," Allen continued.

James Handy's official cause of death has been revealed.

The circumstances surrounding the "Top Gun: Maverick" actor's murder came into sharper focus after new findings revealed the veteran performer died from a stab wound and neck compression, Fox News Digital can confirm.

The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner's office listed Handy's manner of death as homicide.

Michael Gledhill, 44, was charged with one count of murder with a special allegation that he personally used a deadly weapon, a knife, on June 5. Police claimed officers found the 81-year-old actor stabbed in the chest and lying unconscious outside a home in Los Angeles days before. Handy was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

Gledhill did not appear at his arraignment on June 5, where Superior Court Judge John H. Reid ordered that Gledhill be sent to mental health court and undergo psychological evaluations. Another judge will decide whether he is competent for trial.

Gledhill remained behind bars after the court hearing with bail set at $2 million. He faces up to 26 years in prison if convicted.

Gledhill is the son of Handy's girlfriend of 30 years, Wendy Gledhill. Actor Brian Delate, who knew Handy for over four decades, told The Associated Press that a few times over the past couple of years, Handy mentioned in passing that his girlfriend's son had mental health problems.

"I didn’t think much of it, because he just kind of mentioned it casually," he said.

Handy's girlfriend had fixed up the garage so her son could live there, Delate said. Handy had his own home.

Gledhill's arrest came after he confessed to the alleged crime. According to police, a 911 caller stated: "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin."

According to investigators, Gledhill flagged down officers as they arrived and told them he was the person they were looking for.

Born in New York, Handy appeared in films and TV shows for decades.

He was known for his role as an exterminator in the 1995 film "Jumanji" and more recently as the bartender Jimmy in the 2022 film "Top Gun: Maverick," according to IMDB. He’s also appeared in some of the top TV crime dramas, including "NCIS: Los Angeles," "The Closer" and "Cold Case."

During an interview with Fox News Digital at a pre-CMA Fest party she hosted at her store, Kittenish, in Nashville, Tennessee, the 38-year-old country singer shared the piece of marriage advice she took into consideration.

"The best piece of advice that I've learned that actually works in real life is to keep flirting," she said. "You have to keep things playful. You've gotta keep that young love spirit, and we just naturally do. You gotta be silly."

She and her husband, former football player Eric Decker, first met through a mutual friend in 2011 and were engaged a year later in April 2012.

After cancer, Kate Middleton has emerged stronger than ever and has become the one person saving the monarchy.

The claim was made by multiple royal experts who spoke to Fox News Digital, praising the Princess of Wales for thriving in her "Kate Era." All eyes will be on the princess, 44, at Trooping the Colour on June 13, when the senior royals will gather for a ceremonial military parade held annually to mark the official birthday of the British monarch.

"I think the 'Kate Era' began the moment she and Prince William exchanged vows in 2011," Christopher Andersen, author of "Kate!," told Fox News Digital. "No one in recent memory has had a greater impact on the monarchy than Kate."

British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital it’s been "a sigh of relief" in the U.K. to see Kate charming audiences "in the midst of frantic royal scandals" that have recently rocked the House of Windsor.

"Prince William has previously remarked that crowds come for Princess Catherine, not him," she said. "He has joked that he often feels like he is 'venturing into his wife's territory' because the real draw is always the Princess of Wales. And her visit to Italy was a huge watershed moment. All royal experts agree Kate's future is looking brighter than ever. The 32-year-old blasted the White House earlier this week for using her song "Bye" in a TikTok video, writing in the comments section: "please do not ever use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense. f-- ice."

Tim Allen is getting real about his initial thoughts on fatherhood, the regrets he carries today and how his 30-year sobriety plays a role.

During an interview with US Weekly, Allen opened up about how he "never really wanted" to be a father and how his fatherhood journey has been a "work in progress."

"I never really wanted to be a dad. I joke about it on stage; I’ve just never been a real fan of children. As people have said many times about parenting, you go through all this [stuff] to get a driver’s license or a passport, but there’s nothing about [raising] children," he began. "It was a work in progress."

Allen has two children, both daughters: Katherine Allen and Elizabeth Allen-Dick. Allen shares Katherine with his first wife, Laura Deibel. Allen and his current wife, Jane Hajduk, share Elizabeth.

During the interview, Allen said that Jane wished they had five children "because you learn on the first two."

"The girl stuff I have little interest in — clothing, looks, gossip, and all that — [I focused on] learning finances, learning how to take care of yourself, and that works for boys and girls," Allen said.

Throughout the years, Allen shared that he's seen the depth of a father-daughter bond. "We communicate on a different level. I didn’t realize how much I got through to my older one [but] now and then she’ll say, ‘You used to say this all the time,’ and I go, ‘You actually listened,'" he said.

Allen has been outspoken in the past about his sobriety and during his interview with US Weekly, he explained that he wasn't sober during some of his oldest daughter's formative years.

Paramount released the first trailer for the 62-year-old actor's latest film, "Heart of the Beast," on Thursday. The survival thriller stars Pitt as a former Navy SEAL and his retired combat canine, who fight for survival after a plane crash leaves them deserted in the Alaskan wilderness.

"Imagine being 60 and still cooler than every actor under 30 Brad Pitt different," one fan wrote in the comments section on YouTube.

On Wednesday, the 66-year-old singer's team took to social media to give fans an update on his health.

"We’re sorry to announce that the Radney Foster/Kelly Willis shows this weekend are being rescheduled," the statement reads on Foster's official Instagram account. "Radney is recovering from a serious infection that required hospitalization. While he is improving and has been released from the ICU, his doctors have advised him to take time away from the road to focus on his health."

Country music star Carly Pearce opened up about her worst fear after she was diagnosed with a chronic heart condition.

In 2024, Pearce, 36, learned that she had recurrent pericarditis, a condition that causes inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart. The "Every Little Thing" singer previously shared that she has experienced repeated episodes of chest pain, shortness of breath and fatigue since 2020.

During an interview with Fox News Digital at her annual "Carly's Closet" fundraiser, Pearce shared the biggest emotional challenge she has faced since her diagnosis.

Pearce spoke with Fox News Digital at her annual charity pop-up, "Carly's Closet," which is held during CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee. At the fundraiser, fans can shop for items from the singer's personal wardrobe, and Pearce donates the proceeds to the CMA Foundation, which supports music education initiatives.

Pearce went on to explain how she has avoided spiraling over worst-case scenarios while living with pericarditis.

"Just kind of making sure that you're educating yourself to know that those things are not going to happen," she said.

The Grammy Award winner also advised others not to rely on online medical searches if they receive frightening medical diagnoses.

"Don't get on ChatGPT or WedMD," Pearce warned.

"That was something I developed in 2020 and didn't know what it was for a really long time. It was kind of misdiagnosed, also dismissed," Pearce explained.

And, so, in 2024, I went public with that just because it took me out for a second. But I'm doing really well. And I haven't had any kind of major flare. But I think, again, just trying to be honest with people and use my platform to be like, ‘Please go get checked because there was something wrong.’"

After announcing her diagnosis in May 2024, Pearce recalled facing skepticism about her symptoms early on and said she persisted until doctors determined the source of her health issues.

"I'm doing really well right now," she said. "I feel like I've been in a really good place with my health and feel like I have plan for if I have a flare for recurrent pericarditis. I'm well-equipped and educated at this point to be able to know what to do."

"Just taking care of my body and listening to my body instead of thinking that it always needs to be on 10."

Pearce has previously said her condition forced her to scale back the intensity of her live performances, though she remained committed to touring and fulfilling scheduled shows. The singer is working on her upcoming fifth studio album, which follows 2024's "Hummingbird."

She has already released singles that will be included on her forthcoming record, including "Dream Come True," "Church Girl," "You Can Have Him" and her duet with Riley Green, "If I Don't Leave, I'm Gonna Stay,"

While speaking with Fox News Digital, Pearce reflected on her 2021 album "29: Written in Stone," which was inspired by difficult events she experienced during her 29th, including her divorce from fellow country singer Michael Ray and the death of her longtime producer and mentor, Busbee.

Pearce has said Busbee's death left both a personal and professional void, forcing her to navigate her career without the producer who helped launch it. She later credited his mentorship with giving her the confidence to find her own voice and create "29."

The album marked a major turning point in Pearce's career, reaching No. 9 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and No. 32 on the Billboard 200 chart.

That album also produced some of her biggest hits, including her collaboration with Ashley McBride, "Never Wanted to Be That Girl," which topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart, won Country Music Association (CMA) honors and later earned a Grammy Award.

The record received album of the year nominations from both the CMA Awards and Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards and led to her induction into the Grand Ole Opry.

During her interview, Pearce explained why she continues to hold the fundraiser every year after first launching it in 2022.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Billy Bob Thornton knows exactly why Taylor Sheridan's "Landman" has turned into a global favorite.

During an interview with Fox News Digital at the Newport Beach TV Fest, Thornton shared that people from all economic backgrounds enjoy "Landman," but the working class can relate to the struggles.

"Working people, I think, really relate to the struggles that the family goes through and the people who work in this industry," Thornton said.

Thornton told Fox News Digital why he believes "Landman" turned into a worldwide hit, and that's all thanks to Sheridan's "finger on the pulse of people."

The reality stars' Newport Beach home was broken into earlier this week as the couple vacationed with their family in Mexico.

Authorities responded to reports of a residential burglary near the Mariners Community after 6 p.m. on June 8, officials confirmed to Fox News Digital.

Officers believe the home invasion occurred between the earlier hours of June 6 into June 8. The Newport Beach Police Department does not have a suspect identified in the case.

Representatives for Tarek and Heather didn't immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

The couple responded to the incident on social media Tuesday.

Cyrus revealed he experienced a "miracle" recovery after his 2024 diagnosis. While the "Achy Breaky Heart" crooner didn't reveal many details of his health scare, he did share the advice his grandson gave him.

"In this very broken moment of my life, my little grandson Bear looked at me and said, ‘Try again.' And up until that moment, he had never spoken to me at all. On Monday, the country star took to social media to announce his latest endeavor.

"President Trump has afforded me the great honor to serve in his administration as the 'Special Envoy for American Landowners,'" he wrote on X. "In this role, I look forward to representing and advocating for landowners’ rights against any entity that chooses to harass or intimidate them in an effort to achieve goals contrary to those of the President. I look forward to defending our farmers and ranchers."

On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture officially announced the news in a press release.

"President Trump understands that private property rights are fundamental to the American way of life. John Rich has long been a champion for rural America, and I look forward to working alongside him as we continue fighting for the people who feed, fuel, and clothe our nation."

According to the release, a key focus of Rich’s work will be advocating for landowners facing pressure related to large-scale solar and wind development that may impact productive farmland, ranchland, and rural livelihoods.

Additionally, he will work closely with USDA leadership and stakeholders to ensure landowners have a strong voice in decisions affecting their property and communities.

Earlier this year, Rich — who has been a longtime supporter of Trump — got candid about how today's political landscape has pushed more artists to vocalize their beliefs.

"I think when Trump won that second time, and we had been through four years of Biden and what that did to the music industry, what that did to people's livelihoods – I think, coming out the other side of that, you finally saw artists going, 'You know what, enough is enough, I'm putting them up, I'm going to say what I think,'" he said during an appearance on "The Rubin Report."

"Country music wasn't founded and is not popular because it was founded on the backs of wishy-washy people," he continued. "I mean, it was Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn and [Merle] Haggard and Willie [Nelson] and Waylon [Jennings] and I mean artists that did not care what you thought about what they had to say."

"They're like, 'This is what I think. I'm going to put it into a song. You decide if you like it or not.' They became the pillars of country music," he continued. "So yes, I do see artists starting to turn back in that direction. And I think the music industry doesn't have a choice but to go along with it, because the audience is so hardcore against a lot of the bad things that have happened to them. If you go the other direction, the phrase I use is they will ‘Dixie Chicks’ you."

Rich is not one to stay silent, especially amid the era of cancel culture.

"I could give you the tough guy answer and say, I didn't care what they thought. That's not true," Rich said of speaking up throughout the years.

Chris Robinson continued to face a backlash from fans this week after he defended his anti-U.S.A. rant.

"I think the whole thing was, of course, blown out of context so people can get clicks and people can stir up the animosity and philosophies or how you feel about life," the Black Crowes frontman told Ultimate Classic Rock last week.

He added, "But be most assured, you know, whatever. It doesn't matter. In a week, something else will come up that [will stir up] the hornets' nest.

At a Florida concert on May 31, video appeared to show fans boo Robinson after he told attendees chanting "U.S.A.!" at the concert: "Thanks for the geography lesson … Don't know what the f--- you’re so proud about right now, by the way."

The 28-year-old actress told Vanity Fair that she didn't have a problem doing her more explicit scenes in "Euphoria" this season because she's playing a character.

"He sent me all the scripts and it already had all of Cassie’s scenes in it, the OnlyFan scenes, and he called me afterwards, and he was talking about it, and we talking through it all," she said of creator Sam Levinson.

"He asked me how I felt about it, and I told him, 'Look, I’m playing a character.' Do I agree with all of Cassie’s decisions? Would I personally make these choices? No, of course not."

During a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the 25-year-old singer and songwriter discussed her latest autobiographical album, "I Hope This Helps" – which is out now — and why she always felt like a "black sheep" growing up.

"I always felt just a little out of place in my hometown and my family. Where I grew up, people, they're born there, they stay there, they live there, they just kind of never leave," she explained. "I don’t know if he knows this, but he basically taught me how to play guitar when I was nine-years-old," she told Fox News Digital in May. NASHVILLE - Dennis Quaid is opening up about why he left Los Angeles, saying the once "fantastic" city has been on a downward slide for years.

The 72-year-old actor joined the growing exodus of residents fleeing LA when he moved to Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Lauren Savoie, 33, in 2020.

During an interview with Fox News Digital, "The Parent Trap" star, who lived in LA for decades, explained how he became frustrated and disillusioned with the management of the city, a sentiment that he believes is shared by many, particularly following the devastating California fires in early 2025.

"It used to be such a great town and the '90s was nice. And then it's been kind of going downhill and I feel like people pay these taxes for no services is what it gets down to," he said at the country music festival CMA Fest on Saturday.

"And then fire happens and it kind of exposes all those things that go on that should be taken care of," Quaid continued. "So people are — people are angry and half angry, and they're half kind of feel like giving up, to tell you the truth."

"I'm just one of thousands who have left, and I don't know, I hope the town comes back," he added. "I really do. It used to be such a fantastic town. It was. It was a great community, too. And something's happened. People need to be inspired there."

Despite making Nashville his primary residence, Quaid maintained a home in LA's Brentwood neighborhood. In January 2025, Quaid was forced to evacuate his house during the fires, which destroyed more than 18,000 buildings and claimed 31 lives.

Quaid has been an outspoken critic of LA Mayor Karen Bass over the city's handling of the fires. The actor previously slammed Bass for leaving the country on a trip to Ghana as the blazes erupted. Quaid also blasted local leadership over its preparedness and response, water shortages and cuts to the Los Angeles Fire Department's budget.

Following the fires, Quaid actively participated in the "They Let Us Burn" protests as well as calling for Bass to resign and supporting recall efforts against her. Quaid has described himself as a "commonsense independent" who leans conservative and previously slammed what he said was the "extremely" left shift in Hollywood. He publicly endorsed President Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 election and appeared at conservative political events.

When asked about his thoughts on the LA mayoral primary race, Quaid voiced his support for Spencer Pratt. The 42-year-old former reality star is a registered Republican who ran as an Independent in the nonpartisan race.

"I hope Pratt wins," he told Fox News Digital.

Quaid previously endorsed "The Hills" alum's campaign during an interview with Fox News Digital at the 2nd Annual Military & Veteran Entertainment Awards Gala in LA last month.

The Emmy Award winner didn't hold back when asked why he was endorsing Pratt.

"Why? What are you talking about? Why? Just look around, man," Quaid said.

Pratt, who has also been a vocal critic of Bass over her response to the fires after losing his own home in the disaster, announced his surprise bid for City Hall at a "They Let Us Burn" protest in January. During his campaign, Pratt emphasized issues such as homelessness, public safety, wildfire response and infrastructure.

In the June 2 primary election, Pratt spent several days in second place behind Bass and appeared on track for the November runoff before late-counted mail ballots steadily narrowed his lead and eventually pushed City Councilmember Nithya Raman ahead.

Though California's vote count is still being finalized, Bass and Raman are now projected to advance to the November election.

Beyond his frustrations with LA, Quaid has previously said that Nashville's thriving music scene helped draw him to the city.

While best known for his acting work, Quaid has also pursued a decades-long music career. Quaid performs with his band, Dennis Quaid & The Sharks, and has released multiple albums, blending rock, country and gospel influences. In recent years, he has increasingly focused on faith-based music, including his 2023 gospel album "Fallen: A Gospel Record for Sinners."

In 2019, Quaid began working with country music icons Tanya Tucker and the late Kris Kristofferson on a joint recording of the actor's gospel song, "On My Way to Heaven," which also featured Brandi Carlile. Though the song and an accompanying music video were completed years ago, the rollout was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During CMA Fest, Quaid appeared with Tucker to discuss the music video for "On My Way to Heaven," which will be released alongside the audio single on June 20.

While speaking with Fox News Digital ahead of the event, Quaid shared the story behind their collaboration.

"I'd done a record with The Sharks that I had put the song 'On My Way to Heaven' on, and it came out and went nowhere," he recalled. "Then out of the blue, I get a call from 'TNT' Tanya Tucker, who was my leading lady 40 years before that."

"She was my first leading lady in movies," Quaid continued. "We did a TV movie called 'Amateur Night at the Dixie Bar and Grill.' Anyway, she called, and she says, 'I really like the song and I wanna do it.'"

"'Really? Well, OK then,'" he remembered telling her. "And then she called back 10 minutes later and said, 'Kris Kristofferson wants to do it.' That blew my mind twice. And especially because Kris was, I mean, my hero from the time I was 17."

"And then over the next two years, really, we recorded with Kris. And Brandi Carlile's doing backups on it. And this is around the time that Tanya was making a record with her. And, you know, it just came together slowly. And then COVID hit."

Reflecting on the song's origins, Quaid said the song emerged from one of the most transformative periods of his life, as he navigated recovery after his stint in rehab in the early 1990s, revisited religious texts and deepened his personal faith.

"It was right after I got out of what I call 'cocaine school' — rehab," he recalled. "And it was a song that I wrote that night. You know, they tell you you need a higher power in that program there. I started rereading the Bible."

"I'd read it when I was a kid and I read it cover to cover," Quaid continued. "I also read the 'Dhammapada' and the 'Bhagavad Gita' and all of them and stuff. It was really a personal relationship with Jesus which really struck me, which is what it's all about. And I wrote that song, you know, after doing that, also to let my mother know I was OK.'"

When asked whether country music's emphasis on faith, family and hard work has contributed to its success, Quaid said those values have always been at the heart of the genre.

"That's the way country music has always been, and it's grown," he said. "I grew up on country music, really, with Hank Williams. And my dad would listen to it in the car, the truck on his way to work, because it appealed to working people back then. And it was outside of rock and roll, but it influenced everything."

"I can't think of a genre that's bigger," Quaid added. "Everybody loves it."

Hugh Laurie is fessing up to being "slightly drunk" after roasting a "House" critic on social media.

On Monday, British journalist Janet Murray uploaded a screenshot of an article she penned on UnHerd, titled, "What I learnt from my online fight with Hugh Laurie." The entire online debacle began when Murray penned a review of "House," which Laurie starred in from 2004 until 2012.

Murray wrote on X Monday that Laurie's response to her criticism sparked "some fairly horrific trolling." Laurie offered his apologies in a lengthy tweet.

"I’m sorry if people have been having a go at you because of my tweet. Not at all the plan. I was very slightly drunk and already upset about something that had nothing to do with you," he began.

"If it’s any comfort, I got it in the neck too. I’m a thin-skinned t--t, apparently, even though it wasn’t my skin. I was sticking up for the writers who I adored. I’ve listened to most of them and will keep doing so. Because we love what we love," Laurie signed off.

Murray replied with, "Thank you. ‘Having a go’ is probably an understatement." She acknowledged his apologies and signed off the exchange by saying she has "no hard feelings."

Murray and Laurie's online spat began on June 6. Murray took to X and shared her thoughts about season 1 of "House."

Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy."

The pair went back and forth online for days before it appears that they have squashed their differences.

Laurie, an English actor, comedian, writer, musician, and producer, is best known for his role as Dr. Gregory House in the hit medical drama "House." Laurie first gained fame through comedy partnerships with Stephen Fry in shows such as "A Bit of Fry & Laurie" and "Blackadder."
