Anti-G7 protest turns violent as demonstrators torch Tesla and smash UN office windows

Protesters on Sunday set a Tesla vehicle on fire and smashed windows at a United Nations agency in Geneva as they marched against a Group of Seven summit set to kick off across the border in France, prompting police to fire tear gas.

Around 20,000 people gathered for a march that was initially peaceful before some protesters later damaged what they described as symbols of capitalism and multilateralism, including the parked Tesla and the UN agency.

Demonstrators grabbed bricks from the ground to throw at police, as tear gas was deployed in Geneva's streets, witnesses told Reuters.

There have been previous protests at G7 gatherings over the years, with many demonstrators using the summits to speak out against capitalism, globalization, climate change and inequality.

Demonstrators in the latest protest said they were marching against the G7 as a symbol of concentrated political and economic power.

This comes after Tesla owner Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire last week.

"To me, it's a meeting of the rich that shows once again how the rich can become even richer while the poor are left behind," protestor Pippa Saugy told Reuters.

The G7 summit, scheduled to take place from Monday to Wednesday in Évian-les-Bains, on the shore of Lake Geneva, will feature the leaders of France, Britain, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan and the U.S., as well as the ‌European Union.

The conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine are expected to dominate the agenda. Leaders will likely attempt to avoid a clash with U.S. President Donald Trump after he announced a tentative agreement aimed at ending the U.S. and Israeli war against Iran.

Businesses in Geneva were boarded up and hundreds of riot police were deployed in the streets over concerns about violence.

"This is an attempt to frighten demonstrators, to frighten people and discourage them from coming out to protest," protester Mattia Piccard told Reuters.

Another demonstrator said she wanted to raise the issue of gender inequality during the march against the G7.

"The values represented by the G7 are completely misogynistic, and they contribute to inequality," Clélia Colin told the outlet.

The Carolina Hurricanes hit the jackpot in Las Vegas.

For the first time in two decades, the Canes are bringing the Stanley Cup to Raleigh after taking down the Vegas Golden Knights, 3-0, in Game 6 on Sunday night.

It took just over three minutes for the Hurricanes to drown out the rowdy Vegas crowd, as one-time Hart Trophy winner Taylor Hall found the back of the net for the early lead.

Offense was slow for quite a while, but with just under seven minutes to go in the second, it was Jackson Blake who gave the Canes a 2-0 lead. Vegas did themselves hardly any favors in the second period, recording just three shots on goal.

This series had been no stranger to blown leads, but those were on the Golden Knights side. This Carolina team was not letting go of anything, and proved as such by killing a key Vegas power play midway through the third.

Vegas pulled Carter Hart with about three minutes to go, officially entering desperation mode, but nothing worked, and Nikolaj Ehlers scored an empty-netter to start the party. Rookie goaltender Brandon Bussi continued to stand on his head and preserved the shutout.

One of those blown leads was a 4-0 lead in Game 3 that Vegas absolved with a double-overtime goal. The other, though, may just be the difference in this series.

In Game 2, the Golden Knights were up 2-0 with 10 minutes left in the third period, but Carolina scored three goals to take the lead. Vegas tied it to force overtime, but the extra period did not go their way.

Rod Brind-Amour became the 14th person to win a Stanley Cup as both a player and a head coach (not including player-coaches), and the first to do so since Larry Robinson in 2000 with the New Jersey Devils.

He also is just the seventh person to win the Cup coaching the team he won it with as a player. No one had done that since Toe Blake did it with the Montreal Canadiens 70 years ago.

It’s a long-awaited breakthrough for the Hurricanes, who made the playoffs for the eighth consecutive season after missing it in each of the previous nine. In this span, they had lost three conference finals and three semifinals, despite constantly being a common pick to win it all.

This time, though, they finally battled for Lord’s Stanley and did everything they could to snatch it.

National Guardsman pleads guilty to fatal shooting of soldier he found in bed with his ex-girlfriend

A former U.S. Army National Guard soldier pleaded guilty to shooting and killing an Army soldier after he found the man in bed with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child.

Natravien R. Landry, 27, pleaded guilty June 11 to second-degree murder and use of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence in the killing of U.S. Army Sgt. Andre S. Stewart Jr. at what was then Fort Eisenhower, now Fort Gordon, in Augusta, Georgia. Landry faces a minimum of 10 years and up to life in federal prison, according to federal prosecutors.

The shooting happened on the morning of Dec. 14, 2024, at an apartment complex on the military base.

According to a probable cause arrest affidavit, Landry was at drill duty earlier that morning and was on a break when he went to the woman's home.

A witness told authorities that Landry noticed a black truck parked in front of the apartment and asked who owned the vehicle.

Suspecting another man was at the residence, Landry barged inside the apartment and upstairs to a bedroom where he found Stewart, who was dating the woman at the time, according to federal prosecutors.

The woman said they were sleeping when she heard a commotion. Two children were also present at the time of the incident.

Landry, who was aware Stewart was unarmed, shot him once in the chest. Stewart was later pronounced dead.

After the shooting, Landry fled the residence and the military base, but he was later arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 85 by the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office.

He threw the gun out of the window, but it was later found by deputies. Testing proved that the recovered handgun was used in the shooting.

Landry later admitted to the shooting in a Mirandized interview.

The woman told investigators that Landry was jealous of Stewart.

Stewart's sister wrote shortly after the incident that her brother was "viciously murdered." She said he left behind a 5-year-old son who was one of the children in the apartment at the time of the shooting.

Landry's sentencing date has not yet been set.

Trump announces peace deal with Iran, declares Strait of Hormuz will reopen: 'Let the oil flow!'

President Donald Trump announced Sunday that the United States and Iran have officially reached a peace agreement, marking a major diplomatic breakthrough that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports.

"The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

"Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!"

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose country has served as a mediator, was the first to announce the peace deal, saying a signing ceremony is scheduled to take place Friday in Switzerland.

Trump added that the Strait of Hormuz will reopen once the parties formally sign the agreement.

"With the opening of the Strait upon the signing of the Deal on Friday, for purposes of mine removal, oil will flow on both ends again for the Region, and the World!" he said.

IRAN REVEALS 10-POINT PLAN FOR PEACE WITH THE US – HERE'S WHAT'S IN IT

According to Sharif, the deal includes the termination of military operations across the region, including in Lebanon, where Iran-backed terrorist proxy Hezbollah has been engaged in conflict with Israel.

"Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon," he said.

Additional details of the agreement, including any provisions related to Iran's nuclear program, were not immediately released.

Iran's deputy foreign minister said talks with the United States on a final and more comprehensive agreement will take place during a 60-day ceasefire period, according to Reuters.

The outlet reported that the future of Iran's nuclear program will be addressed in upcoming negotiations. Trump has long maintained that Iran cannot be in possession of a nuclear weapon and has repeatedly vowed to prevent Tehran from developing, acquiring or obtaining one.

Trump further praised his administration for securing the agreement.

"This Great Deal will bring Peace and Security to the whole Region," he said. "Many presidents have tried to make Peace with Iran, and all have failed before me. The Leaders of the Region have, for the first time, found a President who can help them achieve real Peace."

Sharif also thanked the United States and Iran for their "commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict," as well as Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey for their contributions to the mediation effort.

With the agreement now in place, mediators are expected to facilitate a series of meetings this week that could lay the groundwork for technical negotiations and the official signing ceremony, Sharif said.

The peace deal would formally end the high-stakes conflict that began on Feb. 28, which disrupted roughly 20% of global oil shipments that pass through the Strait of Hormuz and contributed to higher energy prices worldwide.

It comes roughly one year after Israel initiated massive strikes on Iran during Operation Rising Lion. The strikes sparked a 12-day conflict between the nations before Trump ordered strikes on a trio of nuclear facilities later that same month.

Zohran Mamdani got a taste of what it's like to be a champion on Sunday.

The New York City mayor paraded with an NBA champion in New York, less than 24 hours after his hometown Knicks won their first NBA title since 1973.

After flying overnight from San Antonio back to the Big Apple, Jose Alvarado, also a native New Yorker, took part in a local Puerto Rican Day Parade, and the mayor joined him in the fun.

Alvarado spent most of his time on the float shirtless and partying, which was totally understandable in the aftermath of a championship.

A video captured from the parade showed Alvarado rapping Jadakiss' verse from Ja Rule's 2004 hit, "New York," while Mamdani also sang some words from the throwback song that's been revitalized as a Knicks anthem.

Alvarado's Knicks teammate Jordan Clarkson was also spotted on the float.

The wedding of the century. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and singer Taylor Swift. Rumors are flying as to when and where it'll take place. Though, presumably, it'll happen before the start of the 2026 NFL season to avoid interfering with the Chiefs' schedule.

Kelce, who will turn 37 years old in the middle of the season, is looking to rebound from a bit of a down season. While his yards per catch went up from 2024 to 2025, the 76 receptions were the lowest total since 2015, essentially his first full season as a starter in Kansas City.

His catch percentage also dipped below his career average, and his 46 catches resulting in a first down were again the lowest number since 2015. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid addressed it at a recent news conference, as well as whether he'll be attending the ceremony.

"Can’t talk about it, can’t talk about it," Reid joked to reporters, per ESPN. "Listen, [Kelce’s] been here most of the offseason, if not the whole offseason. He did the mandatory camp and did a nice job there, so it’s good to have him back in and rolling. He’s very excited."

Reid also said Kelce might be able to avoid the distractions because, well, Taylor Swift is probably handling most of the planning.

"You see no distractions with that and the wedding. If it's like when I got married, my wife did everything. I just kind of followed her lead on it [and] showed up. Maybe he's doing more, but he looks like he's pretty focused in on this job here, too."

Chiefs training camp is expected to start sometime in late July, in the ramp-up to preseason games and the regular season. Kansas City's first preseason game comes at home against the Los Angeles Rams on Aug. 15, before a big division matchup against the Denver Broncos to open the year at Arrowhead on Sept. 14. Kelce will likely be a married man by then, though of course, given who he's marrying, that won't stop the questions about it.

Stephen A Smith calls Trump an 'upgrade' compared to Biden amid New York Knicks feud

Stephen A. Smith remarked that President Donald Trump was an "upgrade" compared to former President Joe Biden amid their ongoing feud on Sunday.

Smith was asked about his and Trump's back-and-forth comments regarding the latter's decision to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden in honor of the New York Knicks last week.

In spite of the barbs thrown between the two, Smith insisted that Trump was an "upgrade" compared to Biden in terms of sharpness, despite previously claiming Trump fell asleep during the Knicks game.

"Well, I don’t know anybody that would associate the word 'sharp' with [Trump] because he doesn’t seem that sharp with some of the decisions that he makes sometimes, to be quite honest with you," Smith said. "But I’m not here to denigrate or insult the President of the United States in that regard. He is certainly an upgrade from what we were seeing from Joe Biden in terms of his alertness and what have you. I certainly would say that I would not accuse him of that. But I‘m not going to insult the president."

Though he continued to claim that Trump was "napping" during the game, the ESPN host shrugged off the concern, pointing out that the president has "got a lot on his plate." However, Smith pushed back against Trump's past comments referring to him as a "low IQ individual."

"When he wants to sit up there and question my IQ and talk to me about people that would smoke me in a debate, well, why don‘t you do it yourself? Why defer to anybody else? Because I‘d be more than happy to sit across from the president and debate some of the decisions that he‘s made. And I‘m not interested in running or anything like that," Smith said.

When reached for a comment by Fox News Digital, the White House referred to Trump's Truth Social post on Wednesday slamming Smith.

In other words, he’s 'dumb as a rock,' and totally unqualified to ever think of running for high political office, or even low political office, for that matter! He’d get annihilated in a debate by the most incompetent of politicians. Joe Biden’s now 'fabled' performance would look great by comparison to anything that this loudmouth huckster has to offer, which isn’t much! Within a few weeks, they’d laugh him out of politics!!!" Trump wrote.

The feud between Smith and Trump began after Smith criticized Trump's decision to attend Game 3, calling it "selfish" and "narcissistic." After the Knicks went on to lose against the San Antonio Spurs 115-111, Smith blamed Trump for the loss by claiming that his presence threw off the team's momentum.

In response to Smith's comments, Trump appeared to mock Smith's presidential aspirations in a comment to Fox News Digital.

By Saturday, Smith appeared willing to bury the hatchet after the Knicks won the NBA championship for the first time in 53 years.

"The Knicks just won the title. I don't give a s--- about politics or anything like that. I could care less. You could ask me tomorrow, you could ask me Tuesday. But right now, the New York Knicks just ended a 53-year drought. I've waited all my life for this moment. And I'm not going to let anything get in the way of that," Smith told OutKick/Fox News Digital.

Spencer Pratt unites with Karen Bass' brother to sue the LA mayor over Palisades fire destruction

Spencer Pratt continued his plight to save Los Angeles only days after conceding in the mayoral race against incumbent Karen Bass.

Pratt, 42, gave the public nod of approval to the LA mayor's brother, Kenneth Bass, who last month sued the city, state, and additional agencies as part of broader legal action filed following the deadly Palisades fire.

"I am proud to be teaming up with Karen Bass' brother in suing his sister for her reckless negligence that led to the destruction of our homes," Pratt posted on X Saturday.

"I hope their Thanksgiving dinner isn't too awks. I know ours hasn't been the same since last year ... "

Kenneth and his wife, Cindy, claimed to suffer physical injuries and emotional distress as a result of the fire, which destroyed their Malibu home.

Kenneth and a handful of new residents joined the initial Palisades Fire Litigation suit, which was filed against the City of Los Angeles days after flames ripped through the beach-side community, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the state of California, the California Department of Parks and Recreation and Southern California Edison are also included as defendants in the suit.

"There's nothing new here — Mayor Bass has spoken of her brother's loss publicly since January of 2025," a representative for the mayor said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

"Thousands of people are plaintiffs in this action, which names 18 public and private sector defendants. The City Attorney's Office is responsible for defending the City and DWP in this lawsuit."

In his own January suit, Pratt accused LADWP of making "the conscious decision to operate the water supply system with the reservoir drained and unusable as a 'cost-saving' measure" during the deadly LA fires, according to the lawsuit obtained by Fox News Digital.

Pratt representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

A 14-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery last week that targeted a children’s lemonade stand in South Boston, authorities said Friday.

The robbery happened Wednesday afternoon near West Ninth Street, when two suspects allegedly approached two children operating the stand, stole their cash box and displayed a firearm during the incident.

Officials said the arrested suspect is facing multiple firearm-related charges, including two counts of armed robbery and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

The second individual involved remains at large.

Police said the 14-year-old suspect was arrested Friday after the police released surveillance video and photos of the two suspects Thursday afternoon in an effort to generate leads.

In the video, the suspects were seen wearing black face coverings, with one also carrying a black backpack and a pink box believed to be containing the cash.

Officials said the teen will be processed as a juvenile delinquent and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court on delinquency charges.

The police said it is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident and urged anyone with information about the second suspect to contact detectives at (617) 343-4742.

Few things can bring out a sense of national pride quite like an international sports tournament.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup taking place on U.S. soil, every American (or at least the ones proud of their heritage) is experiencing a renewed sense of love for their country.

Then again, it's even easier to be proud of where you're from when you have foreign visitors heaping praise onto your homeland in droves, but I digress.

One patriotic American who doesn't need any reminder that his country is awesome is FOX Sports soccer analyst Alexi Lalas.

During the singing of the national anthem before Friday's match, Lalas apparently got very emotional and was moved to tears.

Henry also said that the way the team played inspired him, and he believes it all stemmed from how proud they were to represent the nation and wear the colors of their country.

American singer and record producer, Oliver Tree, 32, is presumed dead after a tragic helicopter collision.

The California native was reportedly among six people killed when two helicopters collided in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday morning, according to the Associated Press.

Rio de Janeiro’s Military Fire Department said that one of the helicopters crashed on a car dealership, where several electric vehicles were parked, igniting a fire that was extinguished, the AP reported.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision.

Representatives for Tree did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

One of the things I love most about hiking is the escape.

For a few hours, there's no doom and gloom on the news, no family drama, no Slack notifications, no people fighting about dumb stuff on social media. It's just you, the trail and whatever nature decides to throw your way that day.

There's a certain simplicity to it.

Put on some decent shoes. Bring some water. Get outside. Don't be a jerk.

Unfortunately, that last part seems to trip some people up.

So in the interest of preserving everyone's sanity — and keeping our trails enjoyable for the people who come after us — I’ve compiled a few hiking etiquette rules that should be common sense, but apparently aren't.

Yield to uphill hikers on narrow trails

This is probably the most universally ignored rule on the trail. So if you didn’t know, now you know: Hikers going uphill have the right of way.

They're working harder, they're huffing and puffing, they’re desperate to get to cheeseburgers and post-hike beers, and breaking that momentum on a steep climb is genuinely miserable. If you're leisurely heading down, step aside and let them through.

Keep your music and your podcasts to yourself

Nobody drove two hours, paid a park fee and hiked five miles into the woods to listen to Morgan Wallen blaring from your backpack. In fact, part of the reason people hike is to hear, well... nature.

If you need to listen to your true crime podcast while meandering next to a mountain stream, then be my guest. Just bring headphones.

I won’t insult your intelligence. I’ll assume you’re aware that littering (granola bar wrappers, water bottles, fishing line, beer cans) is a big no-no. But what you might not know is that natural food scraps — like apple cores and orange peels — should also not be left on the trail or in the woods.

Animals can become dependent on human food, and some of it is outright dangerous for them.

You are responsible for your dog

You’ll have a hard time finding someone who loves dogs more than I do. Most of the time, I won’t even embark on a hike if they don’t allow my dog to come along.

But just because we love our big furry babies does not mean other hikers love their poop on the trail. Or want your dog barreling toward them when they come around the bend. Keep them leashed where required, and ask before letting them greet other hikers or dogs.

Don't hog the viewpoint or summit

Look, I get it. You need that Instagram photo.

But spending 20 minutes staging content at the only overlook or the most stunning waterfall while a line of hikers waits behind you is not the move.

Don’t be a Grumpy Gus

We’re not writing emails behind a desk, stuck in rush-hour traffic or waiting in line at the DMV. We’re out enjoying nature’s splendor, breathing fresh air into our lungs and feasting our eyeballs on stunning views.

So why are you acting like an a--hole?

If a couple is struggling to take a selfie at the summit, offer to take their photo for them. When you pass a group on the trail, say hello. If another hiker looks like he or she is struggling, stop and make sure that person is OK.

As a member of the Walking Through The Woods For Fun Club, you have a responsibility to be kind to your fellow hiker. So check that bad attitude at the trailhead.

You came out here to get away from it all — the noise, the nonsense, the people who can't seem to act right. Don't be the thing someone else is trying to escape from.

DHS chief Mullin refuses to rule out ICE at polls, claims only American citizens should be in line

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin defended President Donald Trump's push for citizenship checks in federal elections Sunday, claiming DHS was preparing for the 2026 midterms by reviewing voter information and records.

"Well, we’re going to make sure that our Constitution is upheld, meaning that only citizens of the United States are voting," Mullin said to Kasie Hunt on CNN's State of the Union.

When Mullin was asked what DHS planned to do with voter information under Trump’s election order, Mullin said the administration wanted to protect "the integrity of our election."

Mullin also said the federal election cycle was central to the country and argued that citizenship verification should not be controversial.

Hunt pressed Mullin on the scope of noncitizen voting, citing a Heritage Foundation count of 25 prosecutions for voter fraud cases where citizenship was an issue. Mullin rejected the suggestion that the number was too small to justify action.

Both these teams have star players at the peak of their careers. Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby and Karl Anthony-Towns starred for the Knicks, particularly in the postseason. For Arsenal, they're loaded with stars like Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and goalkeeper David Raya.

You would think, then, that credit for these teams' accomplishments would go to the players, coaches, front and office staff. But that would imply a level of awareness and rationality that many within left-wing sports media organizations simply do not possess.

What on earth?

What does Zohran Mamdani have to do with any of this? Would The Athletic post on social media about a "Donald Trump sports year" if, say, the Yankees win the World Series this fall? Trump has been attending Knicks games since before Mamdani lived in New York, after all.

But again, the broader point is this: would The Athletic post a similar celebration with a Republican mayor or politician? Stan Kroenke, the Arsenal owner, has donated to both political parties, but primarily has supported Republicans, including giving $1 million to Trump's 2016 inaugural committee. He's also a billionaire, who Mamdani believes should not exist. Knicks owner Jim Dolan said Trump is a "great guy," and is also a billionaire. Who put money into building his organization.

So Mamdani gets credit and celebration for Arsenal's win, even though the money spent to turn Arsenal and the Knicks into championship-level teams came from billionaires that Mamdani rails against. Perfection. Though this is, after all, the same media outlet that headlined a story, "Donald Trump, James Dolan tried to ruin NBA Finals vibe. The Knicks’ loss killed it."

Somehow Mamdani got none of the blame for that loss, and the story was never updated after the same left-wing writers blamed the "vibes" for the Knicks falling behind by 29 points in Game 4. They won that game, of course. Left-wing sports media in a nutshell.

"Announcing the funeral Saturday as Pakistan said the final text of a deal was reached and signing is close, is their bet that the ceasefire holds into July."

Khamenei was killed on Feb. 28 during the opening salvo of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes against Iran, ending a 36-year tenure leading the Islamic Republic. He was 86.

"This is also a staged passion play, not a schedule because the dates fall within Muharram, the Shia mourning month centered on Imam Hussein's martyrdom at Karbala, and the burial on July 9 is timed to the eve of another Imam's martyrdom," Mohammed said.

"The body goes into the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad — the only one of the 12 Imams buried in Iran, and the holiest site in Iranian Shiism — giving the regime a permanent martyr's shrine and mobilization site for years."

Mohammed noted that scheduling the opening ceremonies on the 250th anniversary of America's Independence Day carries deliberate geopolitical signaling.

"The regime had room to choose which Muharram days and, at a minimum, it's a message they are happy to broadcast; very possibly it's the point — while America marks 250 years, Iran opens the funeral of the leader America killed and calls it the beginning of its victory."

Pete Hegseth clashes with CBS host over shortage claims of US weapon stockpiles

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth traded blows with CBS' Margaret Brennan on "Face the Nation" Sunday, claiming that the U.S. is not facing a shortage of weapon stockpiles despite testifying before Congress that it could take months or years to rebuild reserves of certain weaponry.

The back-and-forth began when Brennan asked whether Hegseth was in favor of allowing Ukraine to produce their own Patriot missile interceptors. Hegseth did not directly answer the question, replying that America’s stockpiles are "great" and "only getting stronger."

Brennan said there was a "a crisis with those stockpiles right now in private industry."

"You don't have to read back to me what I testified. I speculated some munitions take more time than others," Hegseth replied. "We've got lots of them. We're building more than ever before. The Biden administration gave away hundreds of billions to Ukraine. And so President Trump had to refill, and he has."

Patriot interceptor use was estimated between roughly 1,060 and 1,430 missiles — more than half of the U.S. prewar inventory.

Exact U.S. munitions stockpiles are classified, and the figures in the report are estimates derived from Pentagon budget documents, historical procurement data and reported battlefield usage.

Even before the Iran war, U.S. stockpiles of key precision munitions were considered insufficient for a large-scale conflict with a peer adversary such as China. The latest drawdowns have made that gap more acute.

In a hearing with the House Appropriations subcommittee on defense last month, Hegseth said that "the munitions issue has been foolishly, and unhelpfully overstated."

"We have all the munitions needed to execute what we need to execute," he said.

Let's start things off with a movie that is so patriotic, it literally has the word in its name.

Mel Gibson's turn as Benjamin Martin during the Revolutionary War will have you standing at attention for the entire runtime of the film.

It's a fictional retelling and a little pulpy, but "The Patriot" delivers everything a red-blooded American man wants in a wartime movie about the birth of his nation.

Gibson's acting is great, but special mention needs to be made for Heath Ledger as Martin's son, Gabriel, and Jason Isaacs as the villainous Colonel William Tavington, who is a delightfully hatable Redcoat.

From the Revolution to the Space Race, this '90s classic celebrates American exceptionalism and determinism in a gripping two-hour and twenty-minute runtime.

Tom Hanks in particular is fantastic, as usual, and his role as Captain Jim Lovell on the cursed spacecraft won himself and the movie several awards.

"Apollo 13" is a great reminder of how when America wants to accomplish something, there's nothing that can stand in its way.

Maybe it's because the film came out at a time when it was "en vogue" to hate America, but "Top Gun: Maverick" stands out in a sea of woke schlock from the early 2020s.

"Top Gun" was a patriotic film in its own right, but plenty of other blockbusters from the Reagan Era were equally pro-America.

This bad boy stands alone in that regard among its contemporaries, so throw it on and show it some love on this patriotic holiday.

One muscle protein may hold the key to staying stronger as you age, study finds

A newly identified muscle protein may help explain why people who stay active as they age often remain stronger and healthier for longer, according to new research.

Scientists found that a protein called NOX4 naturally declines with age and inactivity. As levels dropped, researchers observed signs of frailty, muscle loss, insulin resistance and liver disease in mice.

The findings were published in the journal Science Advances.

Researchers believe NOX4 helps muscles repair themselves and adapt to the physical demands of exercise.

When NOX4 was removed from the muscles of mice, the animals became weaker, lost muscle mass and developed health problems commonly associated with aging.

The researchers also found that exercise helped restore NOX4 levels in older mice.

Josephine Hunt, an educational leader, former group fitness instructor and founder of The Resilience Revolution based in New Jersey, who was not involved in the study, told Fox News Digital that the findings help explain why exercise benefits so many aspects of health.

"Movement is medicine," Hunt said.

"The emerging NOX4 research is exciting because it helps explain something exercise scientists have observed for decades. Physical activity does far more than strengthen muscles."

"Exercise appears to activate biological signaling pathways that help the body adapt, repair and become more resilient over time," she said.

She said one of the study's biggest takeaways is that physical activity helps the body maintain its ability to recover from challenges.

"Healthy aging is not just about adding years to life," she said. "It is about preserving strength, function, independence, cognitive health and overall quality of life."

An ex-Biden campaign staffer blamed the former president's decision to seek a second term for President Donald Trump's return to the White House, as the Biden family mounts a public effort to rehabilitate Biden's political legacy, according to a report from New York Magazine.

"I think it is very hard to ever get over the fact that he is responsible for the hellscape that we live in now," the former campaign staffer told New York Magazine. "It is undeniable that his hubris cost us. He was an extremely impactful president who was successful in delivering tangible wins for Americans, but all of that is washed away."

The report, published Friday, detailed Biden’s June 5 appearance at the South Dakota Democratic Party’s McGovern Day Dinner in Sioux Falls, where the 83-year-old former president addressed roughly 1,200 Democrats at a Best Western near the airport.

Biden used the speech to attack Trump while telling the crowd that he had to leave early for his goddaughter’s wedding.

Other Democrats were more skeptical of putting Biden back in the spotlight.

The next iteration of The Bloodline’s story seeped into the throes of "Friday Night SmackDown" in Providence, Rhode Island, as Jacob Fatu appeared in the locker room as Jey Uso was getting prepared for his King of the Ring Tournament match with his brother, Jimmy.

There seemed to be a number of moving parts. Fatu said he was at SmackDown to speak to Solo Sikoa – who broke away from Roman Reigns and formed the MFT. Meanwhile, Jey Uso also received a pep talk from Cody Rhodes.

"When I do it, I’m coming after that WWE championship at SummerSlam," Uso told Rhodes before the match. "Just business, Uce. Just business."

Rhodes said he hoped Uso does come after the Undisputed WWE Championship. He added that he hoped it was his decision and not because Roman Reigns told him to.

Fatu found Sikoa in the locker room. He said he had a message from Reigns and that the "Original Tribal Chief" wanted Sikoa to "come home." Sikoa, one former prominent Bloodline member, laughed.

"Home? He wants me to come home? That’s what your ‘Tribal Chief’ said? That ain’t home, Jacob," Sikoa said. "That’s a doghouse, and you’re his lap dog. You know what? I don’t understand this. What the hell happened to you? You used to be a killer. A man that everyone was afraid of. The ‘Samoan Werewolf.’ A man who was this close to beating Roman. And now? You’re just his background. And you know I’m right because I am still standing here and you’ve done nothing but come here and deliver a message from who? Your ‘Tribal Chief?’

"Listen to me, Roman has done nothing but embarrass you, humiliated you and make you kneel down like a dog in front of the whole world and in front of our family, Jacob. And that right there is not how you treat somebody that you love. But he wants me to come back? I’m not going back there. So, tell Roman, he can go to hell."

Fatu said he understood where Sikoa was coming from but he already made his decision and if Reigns wants him to go get him, then he was coming for Sikoa.

Sikoa said if Reigns wanted him back home, "then he can come and get me."

The tentacles of The Bloodline didn’t end there. While Jey Uso got ready for the match, Sikoa was in Royce Keys’ ear. Uso, Keys, LA Knight and Finn Balor met in the King of the Ring Tournament. Sikoa said he didn’t want Keys to be a "casualty" in Reigns’ war.

Knight took a victory lap, showing that he was right about The Bloodline and its little proxies getting involved in the King of the Ring match. Little did he know, just how involved they would get. As Knight and Keys went to the outside of the ring, Jimmy Uso and Sikoa appeared.

Balor was in control toward the end of the match, nailing his finisher on Jimmy Uso. Keys got distracted by Sikoa and Knight took control. It looked like Knight was going to get the win.

Keys got hit with a big boot, causing referee Charles Robinson to check on him. Sikoa hit a Samoan Spike on Knight when his back was turned. Keys hit a spinebuster on Knight as Jey Uso went to the top rope for the frog splash. Uso pinned Knight to steal the win.

It appeared Sikoa was trying to help Keys, but instead he gave The Bloodline a win. Uso will take on Je’Von Evans in the semifinals. Oba Femi and Dominik Mysterio will meet in the other semifinal.

Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes’ confrontation

Sami Zayn wanted to let the crowd in Providence know that he was, in fact, the "last real good guy" in wrestling. He was a little taken aback by the reaction in the city and noted how his "ride or die" fans showed up in "full force" for him in Europe.

Zayn called out Rhodes, and the "American Nightmare" obliged. Zayn was hoping to clear the air with Rhodes after weeks of unfortunate accidents. He rehashed the series of incidents, including last week’s suicide dive from Rhodes that was meant for Gunther. Zayn asked Rhodes for the "truth," as fans chanted, "Sami sucks."

Rhodes flashed back to the moment where Zayn was in the ring celebrating the championship win at WrestleMania 40. Zayn asked Rhodes of the names he listed – CM Punk, Kevin Owens, John Cena, Randy Orton – how many of those guys were still his friend and whether Rhodes was the problem? Rhodes said he didn’t need to be "honest" with them the way he needed to be honest with Zayn. Zayn, then, begged for Rhodes’ honesty.

"You want me to be honest with you? You want me to be honest? I’m standing out here for this. I’m taking all this fire, listening to this BS," Rhodes said. Here’s me being honest with you: They (the fans) are booing you. They are chanting, ‘Sami sucks!’ And the reason is, because lately, you do suck. You’re whining. You’re crying.

Zayn slapped Rhodes after the sharp words. Zayn started to apologize while anger started to build in Rhodes.

Rhodes then slapped Zayn across the face.

"Are we good?" Rhodes yelled at Zayn, who exited the ring and grabbed a chair. Zayn threw it down and walked away.

Gunther sets his stipulation for Undisputed WWE Championship rematch

Gunther got what he wanted in order to get a rematch against Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. He told SmackDown GM Nick Aldis that he will choose the referee for the match, after an error cost him the title at Clash in Italy.

Gunther explained to Aldis later he needed to choose someone with the proper knowledge of pro wrestling rules but also needed to take the "human factor into consideration."

He chose Zayn as his special guest referee – much to the chagrin of Aldis.

So, next week it will be Rhodes defending his title against Gunther with Zayn calling the shots.

Rhea Ripley injury update

Rhea Ripley appeared on last week’s "SmackDown" with a brace around her knee and it didn’t appear she was ready to compete in any matches. Jade Cargill and Michin ended up defeating Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton.

SmackDown broadcaster Wade Barrett shed some light on Ripley’s recovery.

"The knee injury happened in Italy last week," Barrett said. "Now, we are evaluating the knee injury as we speak and based on how that knee responds to the treatment, it should give us a better idea on the ETA for the return of Rhea ‘Bloody’ Ripley. Obviously, we all have our fingers crossed for a swift return for the champ."

Cargill said that she hoped Ripley was resting because she was going to get her "lick back."

Queen of the Ring Tournament moves along

The latest semifinalist for the Queen of the Ring Tournament was revealed on Friday night as Cargill, Charlotte Flair, Sol Ruca and Lyra Valkyria fought for a spot in the next round.

Cargill had hoped that winning the Queen of the Ring for a second consecutive year would have brought her back to the top of the women’s division. However, it was the savvy veteran in Flair who took advantage of the younger field.

Valkyria tried to pin Flair but as she was in shock, Flair took advantage. Ruca hit Valkyria with a thrust kick as she went to put Nightwing on Flair. She then gave Ruca a big boot and got Valkyria locked into the Figure Eight Leglock. Valkyria tapped out and Flair had her hand raised.

Flair will take on Liv Morgan in the semifinals. Iyo Sky will take on Raquel Rodriguez in the other semifinals matchup. The winners will square off at Night of Champions.

Israel fears Trump weary of ‘highly suspicious’ Netanyahu and could 'flip' amid Iran deal: analyst

A regional analyst says fears that President Donald Trump could "flip" on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid a critical push for a U.S.-Iran peace agreement are growing in Jerusalem, a concern highlighted Sunday after the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) struck Beirut for a second time.

Despite U.S. warnings that any strikes would derail a breakthrough with Tehran, the strikes came as Netanyahu prepared to convene Israel’s Security Cabinet and after Trump announced a new U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding (MOU) was expected to be signed imminently.

"The strikes today in Beirut are creating issues with finalizing the deal," a diplomat involved in the talks with Tehran told Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst, adding that they were "a clear attempt by Israel to sabotage the president’s deal and drag the United States back into war."

Trump went on to condemn Israel's strikes in a post on Truth Social, also telling Axios that Netanyahu had "no f---ing judgment."

Natan Sachs, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute, noted there was "absolutely this fear in the Israeli government," calling it "a rational and healthy fear" over the pending deal.

He said a strategic chasm existed between the two allies, contrasting Netanyahu's doctrine of sustained, long-term military pressure with Trump's pursuit of immediate diplomatic victories.

"Now there is a sense in Israel that Trump may be growing weary of Netanyahu and the Israelis, and many others believe that if he got sick and tired of him, he could break norms in other directions and flip on Israel," Sachs, an Israeli foreign policy expert, told Fox News Digital.

With discussions underway through Pakistani mediation, the Israeli prime minister's office released a statement shortly after Trump announced the possible deal with Tehran on June 11.

Jerusalem "is not a party to the memorandum of understanding" between Washington and Tehran, Netanyahu said before reiterating on June 12 that Iran was "working to destroy the Jewish state." He assured Israelis he had dedicated his life to "preventing them from doing so."

On Sunday, a senior Israeli official also said Hezbollah attacks had targeted Israeli civilians for the previous three days as Israel prepared for Iranian retaliation.

Trump had already criticized Netanyahu during a phone call earlier this month, reportedly calling him "crazy" over a first strike on Beirut that was complicating the administration's negotiations with Iran.

"It's not just that there seems to be a crisis — and there were clearly expletives used by the president toward the prime minister on the backdrop of a joint and large military operation," Sachs said.

"Israel and Netanyahu had first looked at Trump and saw both enormous carrots and enormous potential sticks," Sachs said of the start of Operation Epic Fury and Roaring Lion on Feb. 28.

"Trump was a huge opportunity for Netanyahu because he was willing to break the mold on anything, but Israel has made a potentially strategic, historic mistake in putting all its eggs in one basket," he added.

"Netanyahu was always prepared for the long haul," Sachs said. "And the long haul is not four months; the long haul is years. Trump likes quick wins. Once the quick win did not materialize — and it did not — now you have a whole new set of problems."

"Trump’s preference seemed far from pursuing a much broader campaign aimed at achieving the goals that Israel prefers, and he also has a much narrower conception of what a deal would be," he added.

Sachs noted, however, that Trump and Netanyahu broadly shared goals on curbing Iran's nuclear ambitions, eliminating Hezbollah's armed presence in Lebanon and establishing a post-Hamas future for Gaza.

But he said, "having that wish list is not the same as having a strategic goal. They haven’t both committed to them as strategic goals that dictate concerted action going forward."

Sachs also argued that tensions between Trump and Netanyahu reflect different temperaments.

"Netanyahu thinks of himself as a strategic thinker — very able, and of course, he has a very high opinion of himself — but he is completely different," he observed.

"Netanyahu is an erudite, well-educated, patient, highly suspicious and extremely pessimistic man by nature. His self-image is more, 'I have thought everything through in ways you could not, because I'm smarter than you.'

"He's very suspicious of everyone around him, and he's been surrounded by this same coterie of individuals for decades."

"In terms of personality and where they come from, their worldview is also actually very different," Sachs added.

"You can't imagine Netanyahu spending hours at night on social media. He doesn’t go on it himself, and it's hard to imagine President Trump spending hours reading books, which Netanyahu likes to portray himself as doing. I doubt he has time for it, but that is an image he projects, and I think it is partially true."

"Netanyahu also believes you live with a problem, you manage it, and you kick the can down the road. Trump is the opposite."

"The U.S. may turn away and be uninterested; Israel simply does not think it has that privilege," Sachs said.

"Netanyahu and Trump have very different time horizons, and that is partly geography and interest — and partly personality."
