MS NOW reporter pans Kash Patel's 'basically bogus' FBI stats after touting Biden-era crime data

An MS NOW reporter is panning what he calls "basically bogus" FBI stats after previously touting the ones released under the Biden administration without such scrutiny.

MS NOW justice correspondent Ken Dilanian co-authored a report last week alleging FBI Director Kash Patel was "padding the stats" to boost arrest numbers, citing agency insiders.

"It was remarkable to hear Kash Patel really lean into these stats, which our sources say are basically bogus," Dilanian said, referencing Patel's contentious Senate hearing.

Dilanian claimed Patel "changed the policy" so that violent arrests carried out by other agencies that the FBI was present for were included in the tally, saying, "There's no larger number of fugitives or arrestees being taken off the streets. It's just simply a numbers game."

He also accused Patel's FBI of "gaming the system" when touting arrests from the FBI's Most Wanted list, alleging the agency would add names to the list shortly before they're arrested.

"We looked at the numbers: four out of six of the fugitives captured during Patel's tenure were captured within a month of being placed on the list, two within a day, one within an hour," Dilanian said.

"So these stats just don't add up and Patel is claiming credit for things that really aren't real," he added.

FBI spokesman Ben Williamson rejected the claims, telling Dilanian in his report, "The contentions here seeking to discredit law enforcement are false and just the latest attempt to detract from this FBI’s and this administration’s year of the most prolific reduction in crime in United States history."

However, as X personality Maze Moore highlighted Thursday, Dilanian appeared far less skeptical of the crime stats released by the Biden-era FBI and even chastised Republican detractors for not believing them.

"The latest numbers from the FBI, which comes from the cities, by the way — the FBI doesn't make these numbers up — show that violent crime overall declined by a rate of 3% in 2023 and that murder declined 11.6%. That's the largest single year drop on record," Dilanian said to network colleague Katy Tur in Sept. 2024.

Dilanian asserted that then-candidate and then-former President Donald Trump's claim that violent crime was up 43% under then-President Joe Biden was "flatly wrong." He also rejected Trump's claim that cities were no longer reporting crime stats to the FBI, insisting "94% of the population" is represented in the latest data, which he celebrated for approaching pre-pandemic levels.

"That should be uncontroversial, but it's not because Republicans and others are pushing the narrative that this data is wrong, that crime is somehow up when it's down," Dilanian separately told then-MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell at the time.

"It's a good news story. It's too bad that not everybody is prepared to accept it," he later said.

MS NOW did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. Fox News Digital also reached out to the FBI for comment.

New details begin to emerge in Kyle Busch death as NASCAR world remains in shock

Kyle Busch died Thursday at 41, becoming the first active NASCAR driver to die since Dale Earnhardt in 2001.

Busch's family released a statement hours before his death, only saying that the two-time Cup champion would miss Sunday's race at Charlotte after being hospitalized with a "severe illness." Busch died sometime Thursday afternoon, with no cause of death given.

The Associated Press has since reported that Busch collapsed in a Chevy simulator sometime Wednesday and was transported to a Charlotte hospital. Sources have confirmed that timeline with OutKick and Fox News.

NASCAR called Busch a "future Hall of Famer" and a "rare talent" in a release Thursday evening.

Busch was a two-time Cup champion and a future Hall of Famer. He'd been in the Cup Series since 2004, making 762 career starts with 63 wins. Busch won the championship in 2015 and 2019, and had 234 victories across all three NASCAR national series.

He is the all-time record-holder for wins in both the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series (102) and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (69).

His most recent win came last Friday at Dover, when he led 147 laps in a dominating Truck Series victory.

"You never know when the last one is," Busch said after the win.

The 41-year-old made his mark in NASCAR during his time with Joe Gibbs Racing, where he spent the majority of his career and won the two championships. Busch left JGR for Richard Childress Racing after the 2022 season, and won three times during his first season.

His last Cup Series win came in June 2023. While he struggled for much of this season, Busch did start on the pole in February's Daytona 500 and was coming off a season-best finish of eighth two weeks ago at Watkins Glen.

Busch’s stunning death is the second tragic loss for NASCAR in the past six months. Former Cup driver Greg Biffle died in a plane crash last December, along with his wife and two children.

20,000 bags stranded after technical issue at major airport leaves travelers scrambling

British Airways is speaking out after a recent technical issue at Heathrow Airport left thousands of passengers separated from their luggage and many travelers angry.

The disruption occurred last Friday at Heathrow’s Terminal 5, British Airways’ main hub, after what airport officials described as a technical issue involving the baggage system.

The outage prevented luggage from being processed for several hours — creating long lines and piles of stranded suitcases throughout parts of the terminal, according to British publication The Times.

An estimated 20,000 bags failed to reach their intended destinations, the outlet noted.

Fox News Digital reached out to both Heathrow Airport and British Airways. The airline confirmed the incident to Fox News Digital.

"While Heathrow Airport's baggage system is back up and running, some customers who traveled last Friday remain without their bags due to the system’s instability as delayed bags are loaded in," the airline said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

"Heathrow Airport owns and manages the baggage system, and we’ve been working closely with their engineers as they fix these issues. We're very sorry to our customers for the inconvenience caused — our teams are working round the clock to get customers’ luggage to them as quickly as possible," British Airways added.

Some passengers reportedly waited hours for their luggage, while others left the airport without their belongings altogether.

The latest disruption marked the fifth baggage system incident affecting Heathrow since the start of the year, costing British Airways an estimated £10 million, or roughly $13 million, according to The Times.

Gary Leff, a Texas-based travel industry expert and author of the blog "View From the Wing," told Fox News Digital that Heathrow already provides airlines with rebates when monthly service targets are missed.

Still, he said any type of direct compensation disputes between airports and airlines over operational failures are relatively uncommon.

Leff noted that Heathrow’s Terminal 5 has faced baggage-related issues before, including major disruptions during the terminal’s 2008 opening, when hundreds of British Airways flights were canceled.

Earlier baggage disruptions at Heathrow this year affected roughly 7,000 bags during one incident in February and another 4,000 around Easter, Leff said — adding that the airport apologized but did not reportedly provide compensation.

The incident also sparked frustration online from travelers who said the baggage issues disrupted vacations and left some passengers stranded without essentials.

President Donald Trump lambasted Stephen Colbert after his final show on Thursday, celebrating the liberal comedian's final appearance on CBS.

"Colbert is finally finished at CBS. Amazing that he lasted so long! No talent, no ratings, no life. He was like a dead person. You could take any person off of the street and they would be better than this total jerk. Thank goodness he’s finally gone!" Trump wrote on Truth Social at almost 2 a.m. on Friday.

Colbert officially made his final bow as host of "The Late Show" after 11 years with a star-studded series finale that refrained from getting political.

Colbert didn't even utter Trump's name during the finale.

Filling the political void was a slew of Colbert's famous friends. Grabien founder Tom Elliott sarcastically quipped, "Going to miss Colbert & his uncanny ability to feel the pulse of the United States," reacting to Colbert asking Fauci if he thought about running for president.

Conservative commentator Stephen Miller suggested Colbert might run for president following his finale.

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, posted a video of Colbert announcing the end of his show in 2025, but included images of Trump playing violins over the announcement.

CNN's Brian Stelter said during an interview Thursday that Colbert was much more than a Trump critic.

"You know, he became a voice of the Trump resistance, first during Trump's first term, now again in Trump 2.0. Politics became an inescapable part of the show, but "The Late Show" was about so much more than politics. And I think the viewers who are mourning the end of the show today, they're going to miss Colbert, the human. You know, he was ministerial in nature. A comforting presence at the end of the night. And yes, he was an outspoken Trump critic, but he was so much more than that," he said.

Ken Jennings on the 'Jeopardy!' prep trick he swears by and the category that made even him sweat

Ken Jennings says that "Jeopardy!" fans who want to be contestants shouldn’t overthink their preparation.

"I would say watching the show is the best way to prep for the show," the host explained to Fox News Digital on the red carpet for the TCM Classic Film Festival. "If you watch ‘Jeopardy!’ like the rhythm of the host's voice will kind of get into your pulse. You'll know the kind of stuff that comes up, the kind of material. That's how you become a good ‘Jeopardy!’ player."

And if someone is trying to cram for the show, he suggests learning the U.S. presidents and their first ladies in order and world capitals.

"And I think those are the two things that is like the most bang for your buck if you're cramming for ‘Jeopardy!’" Jennings said, admitting that he did a "lot of studying" before his record-breaking run on the show in 2004 during which he won 74 straight games.

And as a former contestant, Jennings admits he has "so much empathy" for players.

"Everybody there has passed a very hard test to be on the show. It's like they'll suddenly become their best ‘Jeopardy!’ selves. And some are a little more deer in the headlights. I absolutely remember that. It's very overwhelming."

He added that he’s "always thinking about their well-being because I remember what that's like. It's intense."

"I saw somebody mess up her wager in Final Jeopardy! once, but once you lock in that wager, and she was just, ‘Oh no, I messed up the math,’" he said. "But I wish I could jump in and do people's math for them, but I'm not allowed, constitutionally."

Despite his historic run, even Jennings had categories that made him sweat a little.

Jennings, who has helmed the game show for five years now, said he feels like "doing an Alex Trebek impression is basically the best way to host ‘Jeopardy!’ Like, it's not a slavish thing. Like, he really perfected it, so if you're getting as close to Alex as you can, you're going as close perfection as you can."

He admitted that he doesn’t have the late Trebek’s "skill set," which is why he emulates him, but he said he differentiates himself by bringing his personality to the show.

Jennings said he also learned from Trebek, who died in 2020, that the "host of ‘Jeopardy!’ is not the star. You shouldn't be paying attention to the host to ‘Jeopardy!’ Like, if everything's going well, the game and the contestants are the star and that's absolutely how it should be."

For contestants, he said, it simply comes down to "who can perform under pressure."

The 45-year-old said he loves to see the "Jeopardy!" veterans treated "like star athletes, like as a former nerd, trivia nerd myself, current trivia nerd, like that warms my heart, you know, to see people that excited about our little trivia game."

Jennings thinks it also might surprise some viewers to know a week of games is actually shot in one day.

We come back out 10 minutes later, and then I tell the great lie, which is like yesterday on ‘Jeopardy!’ but it was not yesterday! It was 10 minutes ago. We're just fooling you."

He explained that that means, "when players win for weeks at a time, like Jamie Ding has been doing in recent weeks, it's an endurance contest. That's a real marathon for them. They've got to play and then go back and play again."

"Like, I'm very aware that this distinguishes me from other people. But for Alex, that was like a safe space. You know? ‘Jeopardy’ was a safe place for that."

He added, "There's certain kind of person where like, they need that safe space, you know, because curiosity is so important."

Always humble, Jennings, admitted that he never thought in "a million years" that he would host the show.

"People would ask me, ‘Hey, like, if Alex were — you've been on Jeopardy for months --- if Alex were to retire, would you like to be a host?’ And I said, ‘That will never happen in a million years. They'll get a real broadcaster for this job. Everybody with a good TV resume is going to want this job, I'm not even going to get a tryout. Nobody is more surprised than me that I'm hosting ‘Jeopardy!’ but I just love this show so much. I feel very lucky."

A Minnesota suspect accused of perpetrating fraud was captured after fleeing from law enforcement, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.

"After today’s interagency press conference announcing 15 public healthcare fraud indictments in Minnesota, the below subject who fled when FBI executed today’s raid — Muhammad Omar — has now been arrested," Patel announced in a Thursday post on X.

FBI Co-Deputy Director Christopher Raia had said during a news conference on Thursday that an individual fled after leaping from a fourth-story balcony.

The viral entrepreneur released the country song "Folded Flag" on Fox Nation on Friday. The description on the official YouTube video describes the song's purpose and timely partnership with the Major Brent Taylor Foundation ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

Scarlett Johansson has finally admitted that the idea of a good work-life balance does not exist.

During an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Johansson shared that there is always a "deficit" somewhere in her life — despite accumulating a mass amount of success.

"I think actually admitting that there is no work-life balance is the first step to kind of getting there in a way, because it’s not possible. There's always something that is… there's a deficit in some area, and I think you have to be… I learned to be more kind to myself. You can't do all of these things all the time and so, you know… there's just like… is it good enough?" the Marvel star began.

Over time, Johansson has accepted that not everything in her life will always be perfect.

Johansson is currently balancing a marriage with comedian Colin Jost and raising their two kids, launching a skincare brand and taking on acting roles. According to Forbes, Johansson earned $43 million in 2025 and was named the highest-paid actress of 2025.

Her view of success has shifted in recent years.

"Somebody once told me, ‘If you’re successful as a parent like 75% of the time, that’s good — if you’re doing 75% of it like right, then you’re winning, which is probably true," Johansson told "CBS Sunday Morning."

Johansson and Jost, a comedian and writer best known for his work on "Saturday Night Live," tied the knot in October 2020. In August 2021, the couple welcomed their first son, Cosmo.

The Marvel actress was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011 and French journalist Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017. Dauriac and Johansson share an 11-year-old daughter, Rose. This is Jost's first marriage.

The "Black Widow" star came from humble beginnings. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2017, she admitted that her family of six was on welfare.

"We were living on welfare, we were on food stamps. My parents were raising four kids in a low-income household in Manhattan. So, it was a lot," Johansson said at the time.

Johansson skyrocketed to fame in the early 2000s. During an interview with People in April, the actress opened up about the difficulties of entering the spotlight at a young age.

"I think growing up in the entertainment industry and being 20-something years old in the early 2000s, being a 20-year-old woman in the early 2000s in the spotlight, I think in general it was just a really harsh time," Johansson began.

"I think women were just pulled apart for how they looked in a way that was socially acceptable at the time, and it was tough," she continued. "There was a lot placed on how women looked and what was offered at that time for women my age as far as acting roles or opportunities, it was much slimmer than it is now."

Imagine getting put on testosterone at 14 years old because doctors convinced you that if you didn’t, you may be suicidal.

While I was physically very healthy, I was emotionally and mentally vulnerable — struggling with profound discomfort in my body after childhood sexual abuse. In the eyes of the medical system, that distress was enough to justify permanently altering my body before I was old enough to fully understand what was being taken from me.

This is my story, and one that I look back on with regret and immense pain.

A week after my 14th birthday, I was prescribed testosterone and no one meaningfully explored alternatives. No one addressed the underlying trauma beneath my dysphoria. No one suggested that adolescence itself can be painful and confusing, particularly for girls dealing with abuse.

Eight months later, surgeons performed a double mastectomy on me. My entire life changed within months.

Now, at 21 years old, I live with the consequences every hour of my life, but I share my story to expose the dangers of irreversible gender transition procedures on minors.

The public conversation around pediatric gender transition is often sanitized beyond recognition. People speak in high-level terminology like "affirmation," "identity" and "self-expression." What they rarely discuss are the actual physical outcomes many of us now live with that we were painfully unaware of.

I suffer from severe urological complications. If my bladder becomes too full, I experience intense pain. Sometimes I bleed. Sometimes I lose control of my bladder entirely. There have been periods of my life when I had to wear adult diapers because of the damage testosterone caused to my pelvic floor and urinary system.

I also suffer from vaginal atrophy, another common but downplayed consequence of testosterone exposure in female patients. Gynecological exams routinely leave me injured and bleeding. Penetration can cause tearing. Many female detransitioners and even women who continue identifying as transgender quietly endure these same injuries, often without doctors equipped to help them.

And then there is the pain most doctors barely warned me about at all.

PRISHA MOSELY: AS A DETRANSITIONER AND MOM, I KNOW WHAT GENDER IDEOLOGY STOLE FROM ME

Testosterone enlarged my clitoris to the point that it constantly chafes against clothing. Five years after stopping testosterone, the pain has never subsided. I structure my wardrobe, movement, and daily life around avoiding physical discomfort. My remaining option would be an invasive corrective surgery that carries the risk of permanently destroying sexual sensation altogether.

This was presented to me as healthcare.

One of the hardest side effects to grapple with is what was done to my voice. Before transition, I was deeply involved with choir and theater. I won awards for my performances. My voice was not incidental to who I was — it was one of the primary ways I connected with the world.

Testosterone permanently damaged it.

Today, I cannot project properly. I cannot scream without pain. If I speak for too long, my throat strains and weakens. I have recurring nightmares where I am in danger but physically incapable of calling for help. That fear is not symbolic but rooted in my reality.

This is before even getting to the surgical complications.

At 14 years old, surgeons removed my healthy breasts. I was too young to vote, rent a car, sign legal contracts, or understand motherhood in any meaningful way, but I was somehow considered capable of consenting to irreversible bodily mutilation.

The clinic specialized in "drains-free" mastectomies, a procedure associated with higher rates of nipple graft complications. Parts of my chest tissue turned black and died. I was left with open wounds and permanent nerve damage.

I never became a boy. No one can change sex. But I did permanently lose the ability to breastfeed any future children I may have.

That reality feels heavier as I get older.

I told medical professionals about my sexual abuse. I told them when my distress began. Three separate clinicians still signed off on my transition. Not one of them paused long enough to ask the obvious questions.

And the most horrifying part is that what they did to me was — and is — considered the standard of care.

Why was a young girl suddenly rejecting her body after trauma? Why was psychological suffering being treated with endocrine disruption and surgery instead of intensive therapy? Why were healthy organs being removed from a child who was clearly in distress?

The answer, increasingly, seems to be ideology and ideology only.

Healthy children should not be sacrificed to an ideology that treats self-reported gender distress as proof that a child was born in the wrong body. No fourteen-year-old is capable of understanding sterilization, lifelong sexual dysfunction, chronic pain, or the grief of losing bodily functions they were never mature enough to value in the first place.

The model of pediatric gender medicine operating in America today overwhelmingly prioritizes affirmation above caution. Children present with distress, discomfort, or confusion, and too often the medical system responds by placing them onto a fast-moving conveyor belt of hormones, surgeries and irreversible interventions.

There is no meaningful long-term evidence proving these interventions are safe for adolescents. There is no reliable tracking system for detransitioners or long-term complications. There are no adequate safeguards ensuring vulnerable children receive thorough psychological evaluation before life-altering medical interventions begin.

And as many of us grow older and realize we were harmed, we discover something even more devastating: almost no one in medicine knows how to help us recover.

I cannot restore what doctors removed from me. I cannot recover my original voice. I cannot undo the damage done to my body.

But I can tell the truth.

DNC chair under pressure again after flipping on releasing autopsy

Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin is facing increased scrutiny from his party, including calls to resign, after he changed his months-long stance and released the party's long-awaited autopsy on its 2024 election loss.

After months of refusing to release the report, which was meant to be an analysis of how and why former Vice President Kamala Harris lost the 2024 presidential election, Martin flipped and released the report Thursday.

Martin claimed he initially believed that putting out the report would be a distraction but then said that not releasing the report became "an even bigger distraction."

Critics within his own party argued the report released Thursday was far from comprehensive.

DEMOCRATS RELEASE 2024 ELECTION AUTOPSY THAT CHAIR SAYS 'DOES NOT MEET MY STANDARDS'

"I think it's pretty unbelievable that Gaza would not be mentioned once in the autopsy report," Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., told reporters Thursday.

"I think it was very clearly a major dynamic and a major thread that was happening in 2024, regardless of how one feels about that issue, the fact that it's not even addressed, I think, is a major oversight, and I think that for young people it was a huge part of the environment. I can tell you for myself, as a candidate during that cycle, there's no way that it was an ignorable issue or totally immaterial. So, I think that you know it's a real disservice to not speak to that or include or assess that," she said.

Ocasio-Cortez was far from the only congressional critic.

Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., also criticized the document's failure to mention Gaza.

"One of the reasons we lost was our blank check to Israel and Netanyahu while they committed genocide in Gaza," he said in a video posted to his YouTube channel.

"We must speak and confront hard truths if this party is to win in 2028," he added.

UNITY TESTED: DEMOCRATS FACE OFF OVER ISRAEL AND AIPAC DARK MONEY DURING DNC MEETING

Others, like Rep. Mark Veasey, D-Texas, went as far as calling for Martin to resign.

"There doesn’t seem to be a plan to turn things around and the clock is ticking," he told Semafor, adding, "November is literally around the corner… I believe it’s time for him to move on."

Democratic strategist Steve Schale called the report release "an unmitigated s---show," according to NBC, adding "there’s just no confidence in the competence in the DNC."

Martin himself admitted the report's inadequacy.

"I am not proud of this product; it does not meet my standards, and it won’t meet your standards," he wrote Thursday, claiming he could not "in good faith put the DNC’s stamp of approval on it."

Entire sections of the report, which was written by Democratic strategist Paul Rivera, according to CNN, were left blank, and the document was reportedly riddled with omissions and factual errors.

Aside from omitting any mention of the Gaza conflict splitting party voters, the report also failed to mention former President Joe Biden's age or Kamala Harris' selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate.

Did you see the 50-year-old Reid on the red carpet in Cannes this week? "I wish her well," one fan wrote on Instagram after getting a look at red carpet video footage from a Cannes Film Festival event. Look, it's no secret that Tara has turned heads over her appearance for years.

Women have been concerned for the film legend and this week they cranked up that concern to a new level. "Please fire her stylist," another woman wrote. You get the point, if you were losing sleep over Reid before this week, you probably won't sleep well over Memorial Day weekend.

• Moving along to my golf game...my day of decompression on Thursday went pretty well. I hadn't hit a golf ball in two months after being on the disabled list with a shoulder issue. Instead of easing back in by playing some flat local course, the group decided to play Monroe (MI) Country Club, which was designed by Donald Ross in 1919. I swear on my golf Bible that you might never see a green like No. 7 on that course.

• In baseball news, Screencaps the III got his very first legitimate hit of the season by lacing one over the second baseman's head last night with winds whipping 20-25 mph off Lake Erie. I'm talking windchills in the mid-40s. Absolutely miserable weather. Guys, I'm begging for heat at this point. Screencaps the III eventually came around to score his team's first run. That's the production you want to see out of the No. 2 hole.

• This weekend, we will remember the soldiers that were stationed just down the road from where we live who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country during the War of 1812 in the name of defeating the British scumbags and their Native American partners who attacked from the north side of the Maumee River. During one particular battle called Dudley's Massacre, approximately 161 Americans were killed. Fort Meigs, the historic site that sits to the west of downtown Perrysburg, is considered a sacred burial ground where some remains were turned into bunkers, according to historians.

The local hipsters have been pushing a saying over the last decade or so that rings so true this morning: "You will do better in Toledo." It's on signs all over the city. The wokes put it on shirts and wear them proudly. As a content guy who has made a career on content, these woke Toledoans couldn't be more right. Toledo has been very, very good to me.

I think back to things like the legendary Golden Corral Mother's Day brawl and just smile. Those are proud content moments for the Rust Belt city up the road. Parents will hand down these stories for generations. Mom, tell me the story of that time you fought other moms at my kindergarten graduation.

Despite what you may have read or heard about Kyle Busch, my interactions with the guy over the past 15 years have been nothing but great. Kyle and Samantha Busch were the best to interview. My buddy Paul and I interviewed both of them multiple times over the years and they couldn't have been better to deal with.

Kyle was one of us. For years, I would see Kyle and Samantha at Leather and Lace Super Bowl parties. Before kids, those two were leaders on the party scene. Just fun people. If a brand asked Paul and I to interview Kyle, it was a done deal.

Our buddy at the time was running marketing for M&M's NASCAR program and asked us to come in for the weekend for a full run-of-the-house experience where they had us sleep in tents on the infield and hang with Kyle.

Country star Kacey Musgraves is currently beefing with a fat internet activist who is mad at her because Walmart doesn't sell any of her newest line of clothing in plus sizes.

And no, don't you dare come after me for calling this woman a "fat internet activist." That's literally what she calls herself.

Let's go ahead and check in with Megan Ixim, the self-proclaimed "fat activist" who goes by @msgigggles on Instagram and is currently FURIOUS because she can't squeeze into Kacey Musgraves' newest pair of shorts.

"Guess who’s been excluded again? That’s right, fat people. But don’t worry, they are selling extended sizes. But online. But from further review, very, very limited options, not the entire line. And it seems like the only true extended sizes are the swimwear instead of all of the other merch."

Anyway, I was fat — "husky" was the term we used in the '90s — and trying to find clothes that fit was always a struggle. Now, I just decided to get less fat on my own so I could easily fit into whatever pair of cargo shorts my heart desired, but to each his own.

Lesbian comedian Robby Hoffman reveals she's 'traditional' — even though her life is anything but

Outspoken comedian Robby Hoffman admitted that she sometimes still relies on "traditional" gender roles, recounting a comedic rant she had when a female handyman showed up to build her furniture instead of a man.

Talking on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Hoffman noted that while she and her wife, former "Bachelorette" star Gabby Windey, in some ways live an "untraditional life," there are some old-school rules she sticks to.

"I get in trouble sometimes because I can be traditional, even though I live an untraditional life to some extent," Hoffman said in the episode released Wednesday.

She described calling "TaskRabbit," an online service that connects users with freelance labor, to get help building furniture.

While she has been open about her identity as a lesbian and genderqueer, the comedian has drawn attention for refusing to toe the line on popular progressive social issues. That includes the cultural obsession with "they/them" pronouns, which she jokingly said people are now trying to walk back.

Beyond stand-up, Hoffman also earned an Emmy nomination for her role in HBO’s "Hacks," and she currently stars in the new HBO comedy series "Rooster" alongside Steve Carell.

Later in the podcast, Hoffman took a more critical tone when discussing the broader role of men in history.

Fever get warning from league over Caitlin Clark injury reporting

The WNBA warned the Indiana Fever on Thursday for failing to report Caitlin Clark's injury status before she became a late scratch ahead of their game against the Portland Fire.

The Fever disclosed Clark’s injury two hours before tip-off on Wednesday. She was not listed on the team’s injury report a day prior when she didn’t practice.

Experts stunned after uncovering Homer's 'Iliad' on Egyptian mummy in unprecedented find

Archaeologists were stunned after recently discovering one of the greatest works of Western literature placed on top of a mummy in Egypt.

The one-of-a-kind discovery was announced by the University of Barcelona in an April 20 news release.

Researchers from the school uncovered a fragment of Homer's "Iliad" while excavating a Roman-era tomb in the Egyptian town of Al Bahnasa.

ARCHAEOLOGISTS UNCOVER MULTISTORY BUILDINGS IN ONCE-THRIVING CITY LOST TO TIME

The tomb is located in the Al Bahnasa necropolis, once part of ancient Oxyrhynchus, which school officials said was "one of the most important cities of Greco-Roman Egypt."

The University of Barcelona's Oxyrhynchus Archaeological Mission has excavated the necropolis since 1992. The Roman-era tomb and mummy date back roughly 1,600 years.

The "Iliad," an epic poem that centers around the Trojan War, is believed to have been composed around the 8th century B.C., more than a millennium before the mummy was buried.

Led by University of Barcelona professor Núria Castellano, excavators found that the papyrus was "placed on the abdomen [of the mummy] as part of the embalming ritual," the school said in a statement.

"In previous campaigns, the Oxyrhynchus Archaeological Mission had already documented papyri written in Greek in similar positions, but all contained magical or ritualistic content," the release noted.

"A literary text such as the ‘Iliad’ had never before been found in this context."

The fragment comes from Book II of the "Iliad" and describes the Greek forces preparing for the Trojan War. The text was identified by papyrologist Leah Mascia.

Ignasi-Xavier Adiego, a professor at the University of Barcelona, emphasized that previously found papyri had "mainly magical" content.

"Since the late 19th century, a huge number of papyri have been discovered at Oxyrhynchus, including Greek literary texts of great importance," he said.

"But the real novelty is finding a literary papyrus in a funerary context."

During the excavation, archaeologists also uncovered Roman-era mummies and decorated wooden sarcophagi inside three limestone burial chambers, with the school noting damage from past looting.

But officials said the Homer fragment was the most notable — and they emphasized its rarity.

"The discovery is exceptional: It is the first time in the history of archaeology that a Greek literary text has been found deliberately incorporated into the mummification process," the school noted.

The discovery follows a string of major archaeological finds in Egypt in recent months.

Last month, officials announced the discovery of a massive statue believed to depict the powerful pharaoh often linked to Exodus.

85-year-old ‘hero’ stops man posing as utility worker trying to kidnap woman, authorities say

A nimble 85-year-old took down a man posing as a utility worker who was allegedly attempting to kidnap a woman, authorities said.

Matthew Hokulii Aranda, 42, a transient from the Medford area, was indicted May 14 by a Jackson County grand jury on 10 charges stemming from the terrifying May 8 attack, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Aranda allegedly posed as a utility worker and "laid in wait" for several hours for his 25-year-old victim, who was working as a caregiver at a mobile home park in rural Medford, Oregon, investigators said.

When the woman arrived, Aranda allegedly used a Taser to incapacitate her and physically attacked her, authorities said.

That's when, police said, a "hero" 85-year-old resident heard the woman screaming and confronted the armed suspect, giving the victim a chance to escape to her car, the sheriff’s office said.

Aranda then allegedly used the Taser on the elderly good Samaritan before chasing the woman with a large hunting knife.

The victim managed to get inside her vehicle, but Aranda allegedly jumped onto the hood as she drove away. He fell off and was injured, authorities said.

Video of the arrest captures authorities hot on the trail of the alleged attacker, with K-9 helping authorities.

As the suspect was pulled from the bushes, he is heard telling police that his "leg is broken."

Aranda was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of first-degree attempted kidnapping, second-degree attempted kidnapping, two counts of stalking, unlawful use of a GPS device, unlawful use of a weapon and menacing.

Twenty-five years ago, then-NASCAR president Mike Helton stood in front of the entire world in the Daytona International Speedway media center and announced the unthinkable.

"We've lost Dale Earnhardt."

Those words — that press conference — are burned into every NASCAR fan's brain. We can still hear the cameras clicking. We can still see Helton's face. We can still feel the pain, and the loss, and the anger.

It was a seismic moment, for all the wrong reasons. It changed the sport forever. It changed everything.

Thursday, with the pain and the suffering and the anger seemingly gone — finally — after nearly three decades, the NASCAR world was rocked again.

There was no big crash on the final lap. No press conference. No B-roll of an ambulance racing toward Halifax Health. Frankly, there was no warning.

But the words hurt just the same. They hurt a new generation of NASCAR fans, and an old one still trying to recover.

"We've lost Kyle Busch."

Busch, a two-time Cup Series champion, died unexpectedly at 41. His family announced earlier in the day that he would miss Sunday's race in Charlotte after being hospitalized with a "severe illness." That's all we knew.

Five hours later, the most decorated driver in the series was gone. Just like that. Busch became the first Cup driver since Earnhardt to die while still racing. He became the second driver since December to die in gut-wrenching fashion.

How much more can the NASCAR world take? First, Greg Biffle in a plane crash just before last Christmas. Now? Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion whose name is all over the record book.

Busch's final career win came one week ago in the Truck Series race at Dover. In typical "Rowdy" fashion, he dominated the race, leading 147 laps and giving the crowd his signature bow after taking the checkered flag.

No, it wasn't a Cup win. Busch hadn't done that since 2023. But it was still a win, and the crowd still went wild, and Busch was back in Victory Lane, again.

And then an older, more mature, more reflective Kyle Busch spoke to FS1 after the race.

"Because you never know when the last one is."

That was seven days ago. After what transpired Thursday, it feels like a year ago. Even at the very end, Kyle Busch loved winning. He loved dominating. He loved putting on a show for the fans.

Fans, by the way, who didn't used to love Kyle. In fact, for years, Busch was public enemy No. 1 for NASCAR fans. He said as much on Sean Hannity's podcast one short month ago.

For years — perhaps a decade — Kyle Busch was NASCAR's villain. He famously wrecked Dale Earnhardt Jr. at Richmond in 2008, and had to be escorted out of the track. That's a true story.

He was hated everywhere he went after that. Even during the glory years with Joe Gibbs, in which Busch won a majority of his races and his two championships, he was hated. Despised. Booed everywhere he went.

Viciously booed.

But in recent years, something changed. He went from villain to fan-favorite. From zero to hero. The barrage of 'boos' at driver intros turned into deafening cheers.

Kyle Busch was beloved by NASCAR fans. It was one of the greatest, most unprecedented turnarounds I'd ever seen.

You could hear it when he won at Dover last Friday. You could feel it when word started to spread on Thursday.

"They’re pulling for me," Busch told Hannity. "They’re like, man, we hated this guy — we never wanted to see him win another race — and now they’re like, we’ll eat those words. We want to see this guy win another race, you know? So I feel like public perception has changed."

He was right. It had. And I think it's fairly obvious why.

Kyle Busch was one of the last links we had to the old-school NASCAR driver. The old-school way of doing things. He was it.

In recent years, we've watched Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart retire. We've watched Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson call it quits. We watched Kevin Harvick — Earnhardt's replacement back in 2001 — hang it up.

But we still had Kyle Busch. NASCAR fans still had "Rowdy." A driver who wanted to win at all costs, and didn't care whose feelings he hurt along the way.

Someone who didn't mince words, and meant what he said. Someone who'd rattle a cage (or two, or three), and still be respected by everyone in the garage.

He was obviously so much more. A father to two wonderful kids. A husband to wife Samantha Busch, who is among the most outspoken spouses in the garage. A brother to Kurt Busch, another NASCAR champ.

Busch was, as he told Hannity, the third "eldest statesman" in the garage. He was a sounding board for younger drivers. A leader for older ones. A rock for the fans during a time period when NASCAR has experienced immense change.

In a way, his career came full circle. Busch's first Cup win came at Fontana in 2005 as a young driver with Rick Hendrick.

His final NASCAR win came last Friday at Dover driving, again, for Rick Hendrick.

It turned out to be the last one.

And, like Earnhardt, I'm not sure the NASCAR world will ever be the same.

9/11 Museum to offer free admission for veterans ahead of Memorial Day weekend

FIRST ON FOX: Ahead of Memorial Day, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum announced that all veterans will receive free admission beginning Friday, expanding a longstanding effort to honor Americans whose lives and military service were shaped by the Sept. 11 attacks.

The museum said the expanded policy builds on its existing free admission program for active-duty military personnel and reflects the connection many post-9/11 veterans feel to the memorial site and museum.

"For countless Americans, September 11, 2001, was a call to serve," 9/11 Memorial & Museum Chief Advancement and Communications Officer Josh Cherwin said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital. "That day defined a generation of first responders, students who enlisted in the weeks afterward, and young people who chose to serve as they learned what happened on 9/11.

"Today, nearly 100 million Americans have no lived memory of 9/11, including many of the newest recruits bravely serving in our armed forces," the statement continued. "By welcoming every veteran and service member to experience the Museum free of charge we can honor their service and educate a new generation."

John Paluska, a retired Army Green Beret and member of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum’s Visionary Leadership Council, said the museum represents far more than a historical institution.

Paluska told Fox News Digital he was just 18 years old and a freshman at Fordham University when he found himself at Ground Zero volunteering in the aftermath of Sept. 11.

"I remember the smell distinctly," Paluska said. "The firemen, the beacons going off whenever there was kind of subtle silence, and the sights of the American flags slowly being draped."

Paluska said the experience changed the course of his life. "And a month later I went to a recruiter and began the enlistment process," he said.

In a statement released by the museum, Paluska said he believes the next generation must continue learning about the attacks and their aftermath.

"There are young Americans in uniform today who weren't alive on September 11th, and many who served because of it," Paluska said. "I am proud of this museum for leading the way in making sure their service — and that day — is never forgotten."

Paluska said many post-9/11 veterans feel a deep personal connection to the memorial site.

He said many veterans find peace walking through the memorial plaza and reflecting on both the losses of Sept. 11 and the years that followed.

"You look up and you see the Freedom Tower, One World Trade, and you realize how great that we have it," Paluska said.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum also shared the story of Ron Bucca Jr., whose father, FDNY Fire Marshal Ron Bucca Sr., was killed during the attacks before Bucca Jr. later went on to serve as a Green Beret himself.

"My father gave his life on September 11th, and that day set the course of my own service and the service of a generation of Americans," Bucca Jr. said in a statement.

"For those of us who served because of that day, this museum is personal," he added.

The museum said free admission has also been available to 9/11 family members, rescue and recovery workers, individuals eligible for the World Trade Center Health Program and immediate family members of those who died from 9/11-related illnesses and injuries.

September 11, 2026, will mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks at the World Trade Center.

We are simple travelers through this world.

We arrive with nothing, and someday we will leave with nothing material in our hands. What remains after us is the love we gave, the people we protected, the truths we defended, and the legacy we leave behind in the hearts of others. But we are not permanent citizens of this earth. Our lives are fragile, temporary, and uncertain, and that truth alone should humble every person who seeks power, influence, or authority over the lives of others.

Yet there is a sadness in modern society that goes beyond politics itself. It is the sadness of people who truly believe this world is all there is. That existence begins at birth and ends in darkness. That there is no higher accountability, no eternal meaning, no moral order greater than temporary political victories, social status, ideological trends, or material comfort.

I’M THE SON OF A MEXICAN IMMIGRANT. DEMOCRATS HATE THE AMERICA SHE LOVES

I cannot accept that view of humanity.

Because if this life is only about power, performance, and self-gratification, then it becomes easier to justify almost anything in pursuit of those goals. Wisdom disappears. Humility disappears. Human beings become abstractions inside political equations instead of souls carrying immeasurable value.

My parents immigrated legally to America from a third-world tribal country. They came here believing in the principles, freedoms, opportunities, and responsibilities this nation represented. They did not come demanding America abandon its identity to accommodate them. They believed becoming American carried obligations as well as opportunities.

They worked, sacrificed, assimilated, contributed, obeyed the law, and respected the country that opened its doors to them. And for a long time, America did not disappoint them.

Until its leaders did.

Because what many modern political voices fail to understand is that a nation cannot survive indefinitely when compassion becomes detached from wisdom, responsibility, order, and truth. A country is not merely an economic zone or a collection of competing interests. It is a fragile moral agreement between citizens, laws, culture, sacrifice, and shared accountability.

Welcoming people legally, thoughtfully, and responsibly into that system is one thing. Pretending borders, vetting, consequences, and national cohesion no longer matter is something entirely different.

And the people who ultimately pay the price for those reckless ideas are almost never the powerful voices promoting them.

That is why it is so difficult to understand the voices who endlessly speak of compassion while supporting policies that recklessly endanger innocent people. These voices often behave as though their beliefs carry no trade-offs, no consequences, and no innocent victims. But every policy has a cost. Every ideology eventually reaches real families, real communities, and real human lives.

Katie was one of those trade-offs.

Sacrificed for ideological vanity, political ambition, and reckless policies defended more passionately than the innocent people endangered by them. The people promoting these ideas will never admit this openly, of course. They speak in abstractions, slogans, and moral performances because acknowledging the human cost would require confronting their own responsibility.

Katie did not have enough time in this world to finish writing the legacy she was creating. Her story was still unfolding. Her life was still becoming. The family she may have built, the people she would have inspired, the love she would have shared, the joy she would have brought into this world — all of it was cut short.

And still there are voices who continue acting as though these tragedies are acceptable losses in pursuit of their version of compassion.

But compassion without wisdom is not virtue. It becomes vanity disguised as morality.

There are many who loudly advocate for limitless immigration policies, open borders in practice, and systems with little regard for vetting, criminal background, health concerns, or long-term societal consequences. They frame these positions as enlightened and humane while dismissing anyone who questions them as cruel or fearful. Yet many of these same voices will never personally suffer the consequences of the policies they promote. They remain insulated from the instability, violence, and suffering their ideas can unleash on ordinary families.

More troubling is the refusal to confront root causes honestly. If nations are collapsing under corruption, cartel violence, economic dysfunction, or political failure, how is the moral solution simply to drain those countries of their citizens and relocate them indefinitely into America? Is the answer truly to incentivize millions to leave their homelands through promises of benefits, special considerations, and taxpayer-funded support that would never be offered to struggling American citizens themselves?

How is that wisdom?

How is that sustainable?

How is that justice?

And where were these moral voices while migrants themselves were being exploited?

Where were they when cartels built billion-dollar industries trafficking desperate people across dangerous terrain? Where were they while women were assaulted, children abused, migrants extorted, and countless lives destroyed during perilous journeys north? Reckless policies did not eliminate suffering. They redistributed it while empowering some of the most evil criminal organizations in the world.

Real compassion requires more than slogans, hashtags, suburban yard signs, or public performances designed to signal moral superiority. Real compassion requires responsibility, sacrifice, foresight, and wisdom. If people truly believe they possess solutions, then they should dedicate their own resources, labor, time, and lives toward rebuilding struggling nations, strengthening institutions abroad, and helping people flourish where they were born whenever possible.

Using the wealth of others to impose dangerous social experiments on society is not noble. Declaring yourself compassionate while knowingly accepting innocent victims as the price of your ideology is not moral courage. It is knowledge without wisdom.

And knowledge without wisdom, especially when paired with political power, becomes deeply dangerous.

A healthy society survives not merely through intelligence, but through moral clarity. Wisdom asks difficult questions before tragedy occurs, not after. Wisdom understands that good intentions alone do not erase destructive outcomes. Wisdom recognizes that innocent lives are not acceptable collateral damage in pursuit of ideological visions.

AMERICA MUST CHOOSE BETWEEN FAITH, ORDER AND A CULTURE OF LAWLESSNESS

Most importantly, wisdom remembers that human beings are not gods.

And if there truly is something beyond this life — if this world is not the end but merely the beginning of eternity — then perhaps the greatest human error is pride itself.

I often wonder how many people who spend their lives proclaiming their own moral superiority have considered what they would say if they someday found themselves standing at the entrance to the next world. What explanation would possibly be enough? What defense could justify the suffering, destruction, or innocent lives sacrificed in service of ideology, ego, or political ambition?

Because I do not believe eternity will be entered through self-congratulation or political righteousness. I do not believe anyone arrives there boasting in the first person — pointing to themselves, their activism, their status, their supposed goodness, or the causes they championed on earth.

If anything, I suspect the opposite.

Grace cannot be demanded. Wisdom cannot coexist with arrogance. And perhaps the people most prepared for the next world will not be those who spent their lives announcing their own virtue, but those who approached existence with humility, repentance, gratitude, and an understanding that none of us are greater than the God who gave us life in the first place.

We are only travelers here.

Temporary souls moving through a temporary world, entrusted with fragile lives and enormous moral responsibility toward one another.

Someday every political slogan, every public performance, every ideological trend, and every earthly institution will disappear. What will remain is whether we pursued truth over vanity, wisdom over applause, and genuine love of humanity over hollow displays of self-righteousness.

This life matters deeply. But it is not all there is.

And perhaps a society that truly remembered that truth would govern itself with far more humility, restraint, accountability, and wisdom than we see today.

Stephen Colbert's 'Late Show' jokes targeted conservatives 87% of time in final years, study says

FIRST ON FOX — The final years of CBS’ "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" overwhelmingly featured liberal guests and jokes targeting conservatives, according to a new study conducted by the Media Research Center (MRC).

MRC news analyst Alex Christy examined every "Late Show" joke since the start of 2023 and found that a staggering 87% have targeted conservatives and nearly every guest was liberal.

"Good riddance to Colbert’s nightly group therapy session for progressive elitists who could not understand why half the country kept rejecting their worldview," MRC President David Bozell told Fox News Digital.

According to the study, Colbert made 3,639 jokes about President Donald Trump from Jan. 3, 2023, through the eve of his final episode.

Former President Joe Biden was the target of 339 jokes during that time, finishing second to Trump, who was a punchline 3,300 more times than Biden.

Colbert joked about George Santos 269 times, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. 208 times, Republicans in general 180 times, Vice President JD Vance 151 times, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth 146 times, Elon Musk 143 times, ex-DHS Secretary Kristi Noem 106 and Rudy Giuliani 104 times, according to the study.

First lady Melania Trump finished just outside the top 10, with Colbert poking fun at her 100 times. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Eric Trump and former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy were all mocked dozens of times, too.

Colbert only joked about former Vice President Kamala Harris 21 times during that three-year period, according to the study. Despite losing the presidential election and being at the forefront of a months-long news cycle, Harris was joked about less than figures such as Supreme Court Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, FBI Director Kash Patel, former Vice President Mike Pence, Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and "conservatives" as a group.

Former President Ronald Reagan, who died in 2004, managed to be the butt of a Colbert 24 times during the same span.

Hunter Biden, who provided plenty of material for comedians willing to go there, was only joked about four times. Eric Trump, on the other hand, was the butt of 84 jokes while Colbert mocked Donald Trump Jr. 56 times.

When it comes to Colbert’s guests, the study found that 99% were openly liberal or considered liberal by the MRC.

Far-left comedian John Oliver joined the CBS late-night show nine times from September 6, 2002, through May 21, 2026, to finish with the most appearances.

Harris, Alex Wagner, former first lady Michelle Obama, Seth Meyers, Jake Tapper, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Sen. Cory Booker, Trevor Noah, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the former Obama staffers who host "Pod Save America," Gayle King, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, George Stephanpoplous, Jimmy Kimmel and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shaprio have each appeared multiple times, too.

Former GOP Congresswoman Liz Cheney, an outspoken critic of Trump, was the only person considered a conservative to appear on the "Late Show" during that time, according to the study.

Dem senators deflect questions on Platner's scandal-plagued campaign: 'Not following that race closely'

Democratic senators largely avoided answering questions about Graham Platner, the controversial candidate in Maine looking to unseat Republican incumbent Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and his many off-color comments that have resurfaced in recent months.

Most Democrats told Fox News Digital they aren’t focused on the Maine contest.

"I’m not following that race closely," Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., told Fox News Digital earlier this week when approached about Platner.

The comments — and in many cases, silence — from Democratic lawmakers have done little to clarify whether lawmakers see Platner’s past remarks on sexual abuse, race and terror as a meaningful threat to his Senate candidacy.

It’s a seat Democrats believe presents a ripe opportunity; a chance to knock off a moderate Republican in a Democratic-leaning state. Should Platner take the nomination, Democrats will have to hope his colorful past won’t turn enough voters away to inadvertently hand Collins a sixth term.

Collins, who first took the seat in 1997, last won re-election in 2021 in a 51.0% to 42.4% victory over Democratic challenger Sara Gideon, a state legislator.

Among other resurfaced comments, Platner in one Reddit post once blamed rape victims for failing to protect themselves.

"How about people just take some responsibility for themselves and not so f---ed up when they wind up having sex with someone they don’t mean to?" Platner wrote in 2013.

To Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., the story behind those comments isn’t clear. Like Durbin, Booker said his focus has been elsewhere.

"I have not been focusing on this race," Booker said.

But he promised to give the matter a closer look.

"I am going to do my due diligence and look through the full body of evidence around him. He has a case to make to the voters, not to people like me. And he needs to make it because obviously this election is highly consequential," Booker said.

Still, other senators said the Maine race is the prerogative of voters in the Pine Tree State.

Video captures gasoline, flames and chaos during illegal street takeover

A quiet evening in a Norfolk, Virginia, neighborhood erupted into fiery chaos on Sunday during a terrifying street takeover.

A crowd of people was seen taking over an intersection and possibly starting fires. One person could be seen with what appeared to be a flamethrower.

One person was arrested following the fiery fiasco. Isaiah Duncan-Simmons, 19, from Virginia Beach was booked and charged with disorderly conduct and careless damage of property by fire.

Norfolk Police confirmed to Fox News Digital that the agency received numerous calls for service for "a large gathering of people and cars speeding and driving recklessly at the intersection," police said.

The fiery madness happened Sunday around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Redgate Avenue and Greenway Court in the West Ghent neighborhood.

In the video, someone is seen wearing a mask and holding up the possible flamethrower and aiming it overhead with flames spewing into the air. WVEC-TV reported in March seven people were shot and seriously injured after an unauthorized gathering led to gunfire outside a shopping mall. That case is still under investigation.

As for the West Ghent incident, Norfolk Police are asking the public to submit any video or photos of the event as they investigate.
