Sunday I spent the whole day hanging out with KERI DOOLITTLE PHOTOGRAPHY Thank goodness for a husband who supports my little photography habit. Now that Molly is TWO, having a break from her is like a day at the spa (Sorry Molly!) When I first contacted Keri, I wasn’t sure at first if I wanted to do the one-on-one mentoring session or if I should join the two other photographers Lori Kennedy and Ashley Kidder. I’m glad I did the group session. It was so fun and laid back and we had some really good conversation. We met at The Space at LoHI (very cool studio….jealous) and spent hours chatting about shooting, editing, workflow, branding, marketing, pricing, SEO, social networking, etc. I learned a ton! We even had a little photo shoot with the lovely Laura Kate and got a chance to play around with some off-camera lighting. Here’s a few photos from our shoot. Remember Hannah of 17 Inch Heart? She made an appearance on the blog back in July at the Boulder Bridal Shoot. Blew me away as a model and THEN I discover that she is not only adorable but is also a very talented designer, photographer and very loved blogger. Look out! I have been watching her grow over the last few months and this girl is not only crazy talented but also has a killer entrepreneurial spirit! Overall, this girl loves the snow. (She calls it “no” like “snow” with a stuffy nose) She thinks it’s funny to throw snow at us….
but ohhhhh when snow comes back at her….. its game over.

Since I’ve been posting so many snowy pics on here lately I thought I would warm it up a bit on the old blog and share some photos of this pretty sunflower field! I met up with some other photographers there back in August. Enjoy!

Here’s the models getting their picture made. Uh oh Molly! Competition!

If you plan to go on a little sunflower hunt next summer be sure to check this one out! No barbed wire fences to keep you out, just giant flowers to run around in. I’m sure there are several fields around Colorado but this was the closest drive for me.  It’s out near the Denver Airport.

Directions: From Denver, take I-70 E. Next, take Pena Blvd from I-70 (like you’re going to DIA), BUT exit on 56th Ave and go East. Turn left (North) on Imboden Rd. There’s also another one down the road near 56th & Monaghan.  Prime time to go is August. These were taken on 08/21/11.
