thanks for all the great podcasts! Love them all.

I especially like the one a while back when giving advice on how to get noticed by submitting work to papers and web editors. I followed this advice, because of TWIP, and got in contact with a Yahoo editor, who ran a story on me and another Smugmug user who have taken pics of movies filming in the Atlanta area.

The story ran all day yesterday and some today. I was also contacted by an editor for ABC news who posted one of my pics on a slidshow they ran today.

Glad to know you are giving away the best selling photography books. I do not know how to make this comment interesting enough for you to make you give the NIKON D5000 book to me.

Well let me try. Hi Frederick Van, I ask myself questions. and try find the answers on my own for most of them. I have always dreamt of taking wonderful pictures. I own a Nikon D90 (hope my chances do not diminish when I say that) and have seen beautiful pictures that are born out of it. I havent unfortunately been able to give birth to a single master piece in a span of 6 months that I have been using this beauty. I love night Photography. but my pictures have significant amount of grain and noise. I follow the rule of thirds. I know what ISO to use in what condition. But higher ISO compromises on the quality of the picture.

So tell me Fred. How can my questions be answered? The book that you give away can help me out. IF you give me one I will be delighted. If you dont, I would possibly know it after an year or more. I would be losing so muchh of time in knowing rather than understanding.

I try to do that but the option in mine LR 3.4 (which i’m using and photoshop Cs 3 ) doesn’t have that option..( which is disable on mine LR) .. how can i go from Lr to photoshop….. help me

Hi Van,

Books are so expensive in South Africa. My D5000 cost me my arms and legs !

Until I get them back ,it would be so cool to read the D5000 book , Don,t worry my wife will flip the pages for me.

Hey, I am looking at the Peachpit Press book on Aperture 3. I started out with Aperture 2 but never really “mastered” it and then upgraded to version 3.0. Any recommendations on a good reference/how to manual?
